"Tsk, tsk. The people of the Nangong Family are as domineering as ever," the Nameless Elder said with a smile, looking at the man from the Nangong Family before him. "Inform Nangong Wudi that the Nameless Elder, Diwu Baiyu, and Tower Master Liu Mu of the Wumi Building seek an audience."

Upon hearing this, the Nangong clansman’s eyes showed a flicker of confusion, which quickly gave way to dawning realization and then profound shock.

The Nameless Elder, Diwu Baiyu, and Liu Mu—any one of these three was a preeminent figure in the Ancient Martial Realm. The strength of any one of them was on par with Nangong Wudi, the Head of the Nangong Family.

This was especially true for the Nameless Elder. His power was unfathomable, and no one truly knew how strong he was. He was a man feared by all.

The same went for Diwu Baiyu. During his past battles with the Demon Sect, he had slain countless enemies. He was a warrior who had climbed his way out of a mountain of corpses.

Liu Mu’s strength was no less than Diwu Baiyu’s. Moreover, he controlled the terrifying Wumi Building, making him a truly fearsome existence.

Now that all three had come to the Nangong Family together, an ominous premonition stirred in Nangong Chen. Thinking this, he hurriedly said, "So it is the two seniors and Tower Master Liu. My deepest apologies for the disrespect." As he spoke, he cupped his fist and bowed respectfully.

The Nameless Elder simply waved his hand. "Go on. Inform Nangong Wudi that we have arrived," he said indifferently.

Hearing this, Nangong Chen nodded quickly. He didn’t dare say more in front of the Nameless Elder, who could annihilate him with a casual gesture. Acknowledging the command, Nangong Chen swiftly turned and headed straight for the main Nangong estate.

Lin Kuang and the others stood there, waiting quietly.

After just a few minutes, a group approached at high speed. The man in the lead appeared to be in his forties. He was dressed in a white robe with matching white cloth shoes, his long hair tied back neatly. He exuded the air of an immortal sage.

"Senior Nameless, Senior Diwu, Brother Liu, I never expected the three of you to grace my home. Your presence truly brings honor to this place," Nangong Wudi said with a broad smile as he looked at the three men.

"You are too kind, Family Head Nangong," Diwu Baiyu replied with a smile. "I wonder if my old friend has also arrived?"

Nangong Wudi smiled and nodded. "He has. He is already inside."

"Good. Then let us go see him together," Diwu Baiyu said calmly, as if the Nangong Family estate were just an ordinary place.

Nangong Wudi did not take offense. He simply smiled and said, "Please." As he spoke, he gave Lin Kuang a calm but meaningful look.

Lin Kuang said nothing, pretending not to notice the strange look in Nangong Wudi’s eyes. He serenely followed behind Diwu Baiyu as the group entered the Nangong Family’s reception hall.

When they stepped into the hall, they saw an old man sitting in a chair, sipping tea. The moment Lin Kuang saw him, he froze on the spot, utterly stunned as if he had been struck by lightning.

Diwu Baiyu merely smiled, seemingly having anticipated this reaction.

"Grand... Grandfather? You... you’re not dead?" Lin Kuang stammered, rushing frantically to the old man’s side.

This elder was none other than Lin Kuang’s grandfather, Old Master Lin!

At this moment, Old Master Lin’s complexion was rosy, and he was brimming with spirit. He showed no sign of impending death whatsoever. In fact, he looked more energetic than ever.

"Of course not," Old Master Lin said with a laugh, looking at his grandson. "How could your grandfather die so easily? Even if I were to die, I would have to take a few high-ranking masters from the Demon Sect down with me."

Hearing this, Lin Kuang was utterly baffled. What is going on? How is this possible? Wasn’t Grandfather already laid to rest? How can he still be alive? He found it hard to believe, even though he was seeing it with his own eyes.

"Kid, why are you staring at me like that?" Old Master Lin said. "I only faked my death to deceive some people from the Demon Sect."

Lin Kuang nodded incessantly. At that moment, his mind went completely blank. He didn’t know what to ask; all he knew was that his grandfather was alive, and he was overjoyed.

"Alright, we can talk about this later. Let’s see your mother first," Old Master Lin said with a smile.

Lin Kuang nodded eagerly. After all, his primary goal in coming here was to find his mother. Seeing his grandfather alive was a wonderful, unexpected surprise.

"Nangong Wudi, I’m sure you understand why we’re here," Diwu Baiyu said with a smile. "It’s been so long. Don’t you think it’s time this family was reunited?"

Nangong Wudi smiled and nodded in agreement. "Yes, it is indeed time for them to meet."

Lin Kuang was surprised by his response. Nangong Wudi is this agreeable? He’s just handing over my mother like that? This seems... abnormal.

Diwu Baiyu, the Nameless Elder, Liu Mu, and Old Master Lin were also a little taken aback. Nangong Wudi agreed this quickly? It seems far too easy.

While they were all wondering about this, Nangong Wudi spoke again. "Someone, please bring Wenxue here."

At his command, a servant immediately left to summon Nangong Wenxue—Lin Kuang’s mother.

"Seniors, Brother Liu, please wait just a moment. Wenxue will be here shortly," Nangong Wudi said to the group.

Hearing this, Diwu Baiyu, the Nameless Elder, and Liu Mu said nothing, but their gazes shifted to Old Master Lin. They all assumed this was his doing.

Old Master Lin felt a bit helpless. I haven’t actually done anything... After all, he had only just arrived himself. Seeing as Nangong Wudi had already agreed, he decided not to say anything more.

After about ten minutes, the sound of footsteps echoed from outside the hall. A woman appeared at the forefront of the group.

Although she was in her forties or fifties, she had maintained herself so well that she looked to be in her thirties. She was beautiful and arresting, still full of charm.

The moment the woman entered the hall, her gaze fell directly on Old Master Lin and Lin Kuang.

"Father... why are you here?" she exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement as she rushed to Old Master Lin’s side. Her beautiful eyes grew misty, and her reaction seemed entirely genuine.

"Wenxue," Old Master Lin said to his daughter-in-law, his voice tinged with emotion. "It’s been far too many years."
