Chapter 126: Overprotective Brother (Sis-Con)
Sean couldn’t help laughing.
"That sounds exactly like Danny," Sean said with a smile.
Makima smiled back, something fond in her expression.
"He trusts you," Makima said. "I want you to know that. I’ve told him about us. About what you’ve done for the building, for our family."
She paused.
"He doesn’t ask questions about people he doesn’t trust. The questions are his way of saying he cares."
"A protective younger brother," Sean said.
"The most protective younger brother in existence," Makima said. "He has opinions about everyone I’ve ever been close to. Most of them unfavorable. Very quickly formed."
"He seemed to like me," Sean said.
"He gave you a conditional verdict," Makima said.
Sean raised an eyebrow.
"Oh?" Sean asked.
"The condition was more data," Makima replied with a small laugh. "Danny takes these things very seriously when it comes to me."
Sean chuckled.
"He already has a list of questions," Makima said.
"A list?" Sean asked.
"Mhm." Makima took another sip of her coffee. "With subsections."
Sean laughed properly.
Then he looked at her with something genuine in his expression.
"It’s understandable," Sean said. "Anyone would want to protect a beautiful sister like you."
Makima stilled.
A soft blush slowly spread across her cheeks before she looked down at her coffee.
"You can’t just say things like that," Makima said.
"Why not?" Sean asked gently.
Makima looked away for a moment before meeting his eyes again.
"Because every time you say something like that..." Makima said quietly. "...you make it impossible for me to think."
Sean smiled, the affection in his eyes impossible to hide.
"I wasn’t trying to distract you," Sean said softly. "I was just telling you what I see."
Makima swallowed.
"And what do you see?" Makima asked in almost a whisper.
Sean stepped a little closer.
"I see the most beautiful woman in the room," Sean said. "So if that slips out every now and then... you’re going to have to forgive me."
Makima let out a helpless little laugh and shook her head.
"You’re completely unfair," Makima murmured.
Sean smiled.
"I think being honest is only fair," Sean replied.
She looked at him for a long moment before smiling to herself.
"I was trying to have a normal conversation," Makima said.
Sean reached up and gently tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
"I know," Sean said softly. "But when I’m looking at you... normal conversations become a little difficult."
Makima laughed quietly, her face warmer than before.
"Danny would absolutely hate hearing you say all of that," Makima said.
"Danny would secretly agree with me," Sean replied.
"He probably would," Makima admitted with a sigh. "He just wouldn’t admit it."
Sean smiled.
"I’m really glad I moved into this building," Sean said.
Makima looked up from her coffee.
"Really?" Makima asked.
Sean nodded.
"I am," Sean said simply.
She held his gaze for several long seconds.
Then a gentle smile slowly appeared on her face.
"So am I," Makima said quietly. "Very much."
She stood from her chair, still holding his hand, and walked around the table until she stood directly in front of him.
"These past few days..." Makima said softly.
"I kept wanting to come upstairs."
Sean listened without interrupting.
"I kept thinking about knocking on your door," Makima continued. She smiled to herself. "But every time, I remind myself you were busy and maybe you weren’t home. That there were things you needed to handle."
"There were," Sean replied.
"I know," Makima said.
She looked directly into his eyes.
"But I still wanted to see you."
Her fingers tightened gently around his hand.
"I don’t like missing you," Makima admitted quietly. "I spent a long time convincing myself I didn’t need anyone."
Her smile became slightly self-conscious.
"So... this feeling is still new to me."
Sean gently placed both hands around her waist.
"You don’t have to miss me anymore," Sean said softly.
Makima’s eyes softened.
"I know," Makima whispered.
She stepped closer until almost no space remained between them.
"That’s what makes me happiest."
She leaned forward and kissed him.
This kiss was different from the greeting outside.
Her hands slid from his shoulders to the back of his neck as Sean pulled her gently against him.
She melted into his embrace without hesitation.
Being close to him had become natural.
Like somewhere she’d finally decided to stay.
When the kiss ended, she rested her forehead lightly against his.
Her eyes never left his.
"I want to make up for the last few days," Makima whispered. "The days I couldn’t see you."
Sean smiled gently.
"Makima," Sean said softly.
"Hm?" Makima replied.
"I’m not going anywhere," Sean said.
She smiled back, calm and completely certain.
"I know," Makima said.
She brushed her thumb lightly across his cheek.
Makima smiled with quiet satisfaction.
She intertwined her fingers with his before gently leading him out of the kitchen and down the short hallway toward her bedroom.
The coffee remained on the table, slowly cooling in the cups.
—----
By the time they reached the bedroom door, Makima had already turned to face him, her back pressing against the frame, her hands working at the buttons of his shirt with a focused urgency that made his pulse quicken.
The fabric parted under her fingers. Sean shrugged it off his shoulders and let it fall, and then her palms were flat against his chest, sliding upward over his collarbone, his neck, into his hair.
Her dress came off first, Sean pulled it over her head in one fluid motion, her dark hair spilling loose around her shoulders. Sean’s hands found the clasp of her bra before she could reach for it herself. The hooks released with a soft click and the straps slid down her arms, revealing the full swell of her breasts, her nipples already stiff and firm.
Makima reached for his belt.
Her fingers were steady but quick, working the leather through the buckle, popping the button of his trousers, sliding the zipper down. His pants dropped to his ankles. His boxers followed. His cock sprang free—already hard, already thick, the head flushed and slick with the first bead of pre-cum.
