Shirley's presence speaks to me in Shirley's voice.

"How could you keep me company? 'The words prick in my chest and bitter thoughts spread in my heart.

And then the next thing you know, you're gonna say something to me.

"No way!! I like Shirley!

It reflexes back to the words.

I like Shirley so much that I don't like women other than Shirley.

"Then why are you looking at other women's people? Why were you protecting me? Why do you think I'm bitter? Why?"

"Hal, be careful!! That person is Shirley!!

Lulu screams at me.

Lulu is right. The Shirley in front of you is not a Shirley. The words Shirley says in front of me sting my chest.

"Hey, Hal, why? Why shouldn't I have spicy thoughts? Hey, why?"
