Chapter 306: Little Red Snake
"Thank you, Your Majesty."
Shen Daoxing raised his cupped hands and bowed respectfully to Emperor Tianze.
Emperor Tianze saw this and quickly reached out to stop Shen Daoxing. "Ah, Yang, you’re being too formal. You saved my Tianze this time; it is I who should be thanking you. It’s just a shame you can’t stay for a while longer. This place is rich with Celestial Essence Ore. Please, take as much as you can. Don’t stand on ceremony."
"Oh, right."
As he spoke, Emperor Tianze seemed to remember something else. "Yang," he said, "the Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi here is dense, and the Celestial Essence Ore is abundant. But because of this, the Primordial Energy in some areas has become exceptionally chaotic, forming turbulent flows. They’re extremely dangerous and can shred anything to pieces. You must not venture into them."
"Thank you for the warning, Your Majesty."
Shen Daoxing nodded in thanks.
After that, Emperor Tianze said no more. Not wanting to disturb Shen Daoxing, he turned and left the grotto.
Only then did Shen Daoxing finally have a moment to carefully observe the entire cavern.
Translucent, seven-colored Crystal Stones covered the entire grotto, casting a brilliant and dazzling light.
Just as Emperor Tianze had said, this was the finest mine in all of the Tianze nation. The ores were numerous, and every single one was of high purity.
Even a creature with an appetite as enormous as the Golden-Eyed Treasure-Seeking Rat was currently sprawled on its back atop a rock, its belly stretched taut.
Even so, it still clutched a top-grade piece of ore in its paws, its eyes filled with greed. It wanted to swallow it in one gulp, but the Golden-Eyed Treasure-Seeking Rat couldn’t help but let out a loud burp. It was simply too full to eat anymore and could only give up in frustration.
Besides the ordinary Celestial Essence Ore, there were also quite a few rare ores of various other elemental attributes.
With just a casual glance, Shen Daoxing spotted the translucent, indigo-colored Wind Source Ore.
Shen Daoxing waved his hand, summoning the Great Ming Demon Sparrow. With a single swing of the sword, he cleaved off a large chunk of Wind Source Ore. Then, with a slight lift of his finger, he pulled all the ore into his Sumeru Ring.
’It’s a shame the capacity of this Spatial Magical Artifact, the Sumeru Ring, is so small,’ Shen Daoxing thought. ’It can’t hold that much ore, and I already filled it with a good amount from the Water Lizard King’s lair.’
Of course, the quality of the ore there couldn’t compare to what was here.
Without hesitation, Shen Daoxing flicked his finger, dumping out all the ore he had obtained from the Water Lizard King’s lair. He then brandished the Great Ming Demon Sparrow, slicing off the surrounding top-grade ores and sweeping them all into his Sumeru Ring.
Before long, Shen Daoxing’s Sumeru Ring was filled to the brim once again.
Looking at the cavern still packed with top-grade ore that he couldn’t take with him, Shen Daoxing couldn’t help but feel a pang of regret.
Shen Daoxing strolled deeper into the cavern, hoping to find something else. He had only taken a few steps when he suddenly felt a sharp, chaotic aura.
Shen Daoxing looked up and saw, not far ahead of him, deadly streams of brilliant light streaking through the air. They were like countless sharp blades, filling the entire grotto.
Shen Daoxing walked closer and gently raised a finger.
SWISH!
A streak of brilliant light shot past.
A cut had already been sliced open on Shen Daoxing’s finger.
Just as Emperor Tianze had said, these turbulent flows of Primordial Energy were extremely dangerous.
Afterward, Shen Daoxing looked around and found that although the grotto had passages leading in every direction, they were all blocked by the turbulent Primordial Energy. He couldn’t go any deeper.
Just as Shen Daoxing was about to give up on exploring further, the Blood Dragon’s voice suddenly echoed in his mind. ’Kid, this is a pretty good Trial Land.’
’A Trial Land?’
Shen Daoxing paused, not quite understanding.
The Blood Dragon affirmed the thought. ’Look at these turbulent flows of Primordial Energy ahead,’ it said slowly. ’They’re explosive and dangerous, but have you noticed anything about them?’
Shen Daoxing paused and looked closely, then froze. ’This is... an extreme attribute?’
’That’s right!’
The Blood Dragon’s voice echoed in Shen Daoxing’s mind once more. ’This chaotic Primordial Energy is dangerous, but it’s filled with extreme attributes. If you can comprehend this chaotic energy, you’ll be able to forge the ultimate state of Seven-Colored Spirit Transformation.’
Shen Daoxing nodded. He stepped forward until he was in front of a turbulent stream of light and gently raised his finger.
In an instant, a streak of brilliant light flew past.
A deep wound appeared on his finger.
But this time, Shen Daoxing did not retreat. The splendid Profound Platform inside him suddenly began to spin.
ROAR!
A dragon’s cry resounded.
A seven-colored light suddenly erupted from his body, soaring into the air like seven celestial dragons spiraling upward.
Shen Daoxing walked in resolutely.
SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!
Streams of Extreme Dao light flew past, instantly slicing through Shen Daoxing’s clothes, leaving deep, long gashes from which blood flowed.
Shen Daoxing merely frowned, stepped firmly inside, and sat down in a meditative posture. He slowly closed his eyes to perceive the extremity within.
「Meanwhile, as Shen Daoxing cultivated.」
A red light surged within Shen Daoxing’s mind. A moment later, a speck of red flew out, exiting his consciousness.
Then, a small snake descended.
The snake was tiny and completely red, no more than an inch long. Its small head had a pair of large, blinking eyes that were almost cute, and on its pointed head were two slightly bulging dragon horns.
After emerging, the little red snake looked around and seemed to nod in satisfaction. An old, world-weary voice came from its tiny body, "Not bad! Not bad at all! I never thought a minor place like the Lower Realm would have a mineral vein of such quality. A pity it’s useless to me without a physical body."
The moment the red snake appeared, the Golden-Eyed Treasure-Seeking Rat, perched on a large rock nearby, let out a burp and slowly turned its head to look at it.
The Golden-Eyed Treasure-Seeking Rat was startled by the sudden appearance of the red snake, assuming it was here to steal its food.
A flash of gray light.
WHOOSH! The Golden-Eyed Treasure-Seeking Rat transformed into an arc of light and appeared before the red snake.
SQUEAK SQUEAK SQUEAK!
The Golden-Eyed Treasure-Seeking Rat stood up on its hind legs, planted its paws on its hips with a domineering expression, and then pointed a paw at the grotto, then back at itself. It seemed to be warning the red snake that everything in the entire grotto was its property, and no one was allowed to touch it.
But it had just stood up when a red tail flashed before its eyes.
BAM!
With a heavy thud, the Golden-Eyed Treasure-Seeking Rat was sent flying, embedding itself deep into the rock wall with a CRASH.
A deep, majestic voice rang out. "Insolence! A pipsqueak of a rat dares to act so presumptuously before me? Even if your ancestor were standing here right now, he’d have to obediently call me Grandpa."
The Golden-Eyed Treasure-Seeking Rat shook its head and staggered out of the rock wall, apparently not yet understanding the situation. It flew into a rage, letting out a furious "SQUEAK SQUEAK SQUEAK!" as it bared its sharp teeth and lunged viciously at the little red snake.
