She glared at Dorrent, her lips twisting into a mocking, spiteful sneer as she tried to hurt his pride. "Besides... isn’t the great CEO of Gammar Tech rich enough to support me? Maybe I’ll just become a lazy, stay-at-home wife instead! I’ll just sit in your grand mansion, do absolutely nothing, and milk your money dry until you go completely bankrupt!"

She was furious. In truth, her soul desperately craved an education, but if he was going to restrict her freedom and keep her locked to his side, she would use every weapon she had to make him regret keeping her.

Dorrent looked at her angry, blushing face, and a wicked smirk slowly cut across his lips. He knew exactly what she was doing. He could see right through her defensive tantrums, reading the fierce, stubborn pride that refused to let her look weak in front of his secretary.

"I wouldn’t mind that at all, little physician," Dorrent purred, his deep voice dripping with provocation. "A stay-at-home wife will be very good for you. You can stay in my bedroom all day, take care of our future kids, and wait for me to return home every evening." He paused, leaning back casually, his eyes flashing with dark amusement as he dropped the final lure. "After all... stay-at-home mothers are usually uneducated ladies like you anyway. It suits your background perfectly."

The words hit Jannah like a sudden, scorching flame.

Her breath caught in her throat, her eyes widening in explosive rage. Uneducated?!The insult cut straight through her pride, tearing through her self-control like a blade.

"Don’t you dare!" Jannah shrieked, her voice echoing loudly inside the carriage as she practically leaped out of her seat, her small frame trembling with furious indignancy. "Don’t you EVER dare call me uneducated, you arrogant, condescending bastard! I WILL go to university! I am going to pursue a full degree in Medicine! I am going to become a fully certified medical doctor, and I will NEVER allow a perverted tyrant like you to look down on me just because I grew up in the lower sectors!"

Dorrent’s smirk widened into a triumphant, victorious smile. He looked at her breathing form, his eyes dark with satisfaction.

"That’s more like it," Dorrent murmured softly. He didn’t take his eyes off her as he spoke to the blonde woman beside him. "Shalen. It is Medicine. Find the best medical university within the district—one where Jannah can study to become a doctor, and where my security detail can monitor her daily."

Shalen typed quickly, nodding. "Understood, Sir. I will have the admissions dean of the central medical academy contact your office soon."

Jannah stood frozen mid-air, her heart hammering against her ribs as she suddenly realized what had just happened. He had manipulated her. He had deliberately poked at her pride, using her own fiery temper to force her into agreeing to a local university right under his nose.

"Are you a sticky note or something?!" Jannah yelled at him, her face burning crimson as she slammed her hands onto the seat. "Can’t you just let me go to a university of my own choice?! Can’t you just wait for a few short years while I study abroad, and then I come back?!"

Dorrent’s smile vanished, replaced by a dark intensity that made the air in the car turn instantly cold. He looked into her eyes, his voice dropping into a flat, unyielding line.

"Waiting," Dorrent delivered coldly, "is the one thing I cannot do."

Jannah swallowed hard under the crushing weight of his gaze. She bit her lower lip so hard it almost bled, trying desperately to find another way out of his trap. "Fine!" she spat out, her voice shaking with frustration. "If I am forced to go to a local university near this city... then I will live in the student dormitories! I will stay on campus full-time!"

"No way," Dorrent countered instantly, his tone leaving zero room for negotiation. "You will stay at my estate every single night. I want to see your face every day when I wake up, and I want you in my bed every night."

Jannah let out a loud sigh of exhaustion. Arguing with this man was like hitting her head against a solid stone wall. Every escape route she tried to build was instantly destroyed by his wealth and his possessive dominance. Disgusted and defeated, she spun around, turning her back on both of them and staring rigidly out the window.

Dorrent watched her rigid spine for a long moment before turning to Shalen, his tone returning to his usual detached, business-like tone. "Don’t mind my fiancée, Shalen. She is a bit stubborn, but she will finally cooperate when the time comes."

Shalen offered a smooth, understanding smile, setting her tablet down on her lap. "I understand completely, Sir," Shalen murmured, her tone light and casual. "The girl is still just a kid, after all. It takes time for young girls to adjust to future expectations."

The word kid sliced through Jannah’s ears like a hot needle.

A fresh wave of rage exploded in her chest. She whipped her head back around, her eyes glaring venomously at the golden-haired secretary. "Stop calling me a kid!" Jannah snapped fiercely, her knuckles turning white. "I am nineteen years old! I am a fully grown adult, so keep your condescending words to yourself!"

Shalen’s expression shifted into one of mild surprise. She quickly raised her hands in a gentle, apologetic gesture. "Oh... I am so sorry, Jannah," Shalen said smoothly, her voice soft and polite. "I truly didn’t mean it in an insulting way. I only meant it in a good way—that you still have so much youthful energy."

Jannah let out a gasp, her eyes flicking from Shalen’s polite smile to Dorrent’s quiet, handsome face.

"If you people truly see me as a helpless kid," Jannah delivered, her voice dripping with sarcasm as she targeted the secretary, "then maybe your precious boss should stop trying to marry me! Isn’t it completely ridiculous, sick, and absurd for a thirty-four-year-old corporate tycoon to be forcing a marriage with a kid?!"

Dorrent leaned forward slightly, his eyes flashing with a dangerous amusement as he looked at her fiery face. "I cannot do that, little physician," Dorrent purred low in his throat. "Aren’t you nineteen? That is legally a fully grown woman."

Jannah threw her hands up in frustration. "Oh! I thought nineteen was a kid two seconds ago?!" she shrieked at him. "Curse you, Dorrent! Curse your entire perverted mind!"

She spun back around, slamming her shoulder against the car door, completely cutting off the conversation as she stared back out at the dreary, passing streets of the industrial border.

Silence settled back into the vehicle for a few long, tense minutes, broken only by the quiet hum of the engine.

Suddenly, Dorrent reached down, adjusting the stiff collar of his shirt. The gold-threaded tie around his neck had loosened, the knot resting unevenly against his chest.

Dorrent shifted on his seat, looking at Jannah’s silent back. "Jannah," he called out, his voice returning to a smooth, casual line. "Help me tie my tie."

Jannah didn’t even turn her head. "Fuck off," she spat out flatly toward the window glass. "Do it on your own. You have two working hands."

Dorrent leaned back, his voice carrying a strange, deliberate provocation through the quiet car. "Usually... it is Shalen who ties my ties for me before major meetings." He paused, his eyes tracking the slight stiffening of Jannah’s shoulders. "But since my fiancée is sitting right beside me in this carriage, I cannot let another woman help me with my clothes."

Jannah’s breath hitched. A sudden, sharp prick of an unknown, maddening heat flared in her gut. She slowly turned her head back, her eyes narrowing as she looked at him with disdain.

"What has changed?!" Jannah sneered, her tone dripping with biting scorn. "Why can’t she help you now?! Shalen can still help you tie your stupid tie! Go ahead and let her do it!"

Dorrent tilted his head slightly, watching her sharp, tense expression with a analytical focus. "I just hope you won’t have a problem with it," Dorrent murmured softly.

Jannah let out a harsh, bitter laugh that sounded completely unhinged, her chest heaving as she glared at him.

"What problem could I possibly have?!" Jannah shrieked, her voice shaking with a mixture of embarrassment, confusion, and irritation. "Aren’t you already used to letting different women touch your body anyway?! Go let her touch you!"

Dorrent’s eyes narrowed slightly. "Why are you putting it that way, Jannah?" he asked. "It is not ’touching.’ It is simply putting on a tie."

Jannah stepped closer to the middle of the seat, her eyes blazing with fire as she spat the final words into his handsome face.

"What’s the damn difference?!"
