Chapter 232: Damian Finds Master’s Fan Sword

The killing intent pressed against Damian like invisible blades, growing harder and sharper until his wounds, which had only just stabilized, began to hurt again.

Damian clicked his tongue as blood trickled from his lips. "Damn... this sword really has a bad temper."

The pipa spirit ignored him and floated closer to the silver sword. "You have stayed here long enough."

The silver sword remained silent.

The hammer spirit also floated near him and spoke in his rough voice. "She is right. You are already one of the strongest here. How many more years do you plan to stay in this place?"

The silver sword trembled faintly.

Its cold voice echoed again. "That has nothing to do with you."

The hammer spirit laughed. "Still stubborn as hell."

The pipa spirit said calmly, "This human is shameless, disgusting, and very difficult to praise, but he passed my test."

Damian’s mouth twitched. "Can you praise me without stabbing me first?"

The pipa spirit continued as if he did not exist. "He also passed the hammer’s test."

The hammer spirit added, "Barely."

Damian looked at his storage ring. "You too?"

The hammer spirit ignored him. "His talent is rough, his comprehension is shit, and his face is annoying, but he has courage."

The silver sword’s killing intent did not weaken. "Courage alone is worthless."

The pipa spirit nodded slightly. "True."

Damian frowned. "Hey, whose side are you on?"

The pipa spirit did not even look at him. "Right now? Not yours."

The hammer spirit chuckled. "This pressure is also a test for him. Let him stand there and suffer a little."

Damian’s face darkened. "You two are really treating me like background decoration?"

No one answered him.

The pipa spirit and hammer spirit continued trying to coax the silver sword. They spoke of the outside world, new wielders, and the many good things it could experience if it left with Damian.

The silver sword listened quietly.

For a moment, its killing intent seemed to weaken, but to Damian, the pressure was still rough as hell.

Thankfully, he could at least move a little now.

The silver sword finally spoke. "I will not leave."

The pipa spirit’s faint brows furrowed. "Even after all this?"

The sword remained stubborn. "No."

The hammer spirit’s flames stirred. "You are even more stubborn than before."

The silver sword replied coldly, "Then stop wasting words."

Damian exhaled slowly.

His patience finally ran out.

Thankfully, he could talk now, so he raised his head and stared directly at the sword. "Fine. If you won’t leave with me, then you won’t leave. But tell me why first."

The pipa spirit turned toward him.

The hammer spirit also became quiet.

Damian wiped the blood from his chin. "You keep saying you won’t leave, but you haven’t given one good reason. A real reason. Something good enough for me to be satisfied."

The silver sword became silent.

The killing intent in the air suddenly grew colder, but the feeling had changed slightly.

It was no longer just rejection.

There was something else inside it.

Something heavy.

Finally, the silver sword’s voice echoed from the blade, low and emotionless. "Well then, if that is what you want, I will tell you my reason."

The pipa spirit fell silent.

The hammer spirit’s flames dimmed slightly, as if he already knew what the silver sword was about to say.

Damian did not speak.

He only stood there, bleeding quietly beneath the sword’s killing intent.

---

The silver sword’s voice echoed slowly as it began telling its story. "Over the years, many cultivators came here."

Damian wiped the blood from his chin and listened quietly.

The silver sword continued, "Some came for fame. Some came for strength. Some came because they believed they were chosen by destiny."

Its silver patterns flickered faintly. "All of them wanted weapons. All of them wanted us to follow them."

The hammer spirit snorted softly from Damian’s storage ring. "Most of them were trash."

The pipa spirit said nothing.

The silver sword ignored the hammer and continued, "I rejected them all. None of them were worth my blade."

Damian raised his brow. "That’s arrogant as hell."

The sword replied arrogantly, "It is truth."

Damian clicked his tongue. "You weapons really love saying that."

The silver sword became quiet for a moment.

A few breaths later, its voice lowered. "Years ago, I saw a woman."

Damian’s expression changed slightly.

The silver sword’s killing intent trembled faintly, as if even remembering her disturbed its calm. "She had silver hair."

Damian froze.

The silver sword continued, "She was extremely strong. Her sword path was tight, pure, and terrifying. Every movement she made felt as if the world itself would be cut apart."

The air around the sword became colder. "She also carried a heavy killing intent around her. Not only that, it was a very beautiful killing intent, one that was compatible with me."

Damian’s eyes slowly narrowed.

The silver sword’s voice, which had always been cold, finally carried a faint trace of emotion. "For the first time after my former master died, I wanted a new wielder."

The pipa spirit glanced at the silver sword.

The hammer spirit became silent.

The silver sword spoke softly, "I wanted to become her sword."

Damian stared at it. "Then why didn’t you?"

The sword sighed. "She never entered this place. Before I could meet her, she had already chosen another sword and left."

Damian’s mouth twitched. "So you basically stayed here waiting for her, even though the chance of her coming back was almost zero?"

"Yes."

"Won’t you really change your mind?"

"No."

Damian stared at the silver sword like he was looking at another kind of simp. "Damn. What a simp."

The silver sword’s killing intent sharpened. "Watch your mouth."

Damian raised one hand. "Fine, fine. What’s her name?"

The silver sword was silent. "I do not know."

Damian frowned. "You don’t know?"

The silver sword sighed again as it remembered. "I only remember what others called her."

Damian’s heart suddenly tightened. "What did they call her?"

The silver sword’s voice echoed through the darkness. "Demon Sword... or Sword Demon. I kind of forgot the exact wording, but it was basically her title at that time."

Damian’s eyes widened.

For a moment, even his breathing stopped.

"No fucking way..."
