Damian sat down cross-legged and waved his hand. Soon, several jade bottles appeared before him.

They were all Top-Rank Royal Grade Blood Qi Recovery Pills.

He opened one bottle, poured out a pill, and swallowed it without hesitation.

A warm, thick medicinal power spread through his body. His blood Qi began to recover, and the torn flesh across his chest slowly tightened. "Damn... that feels better."

He then swallowed another pill to restore his body a bit more.

The reason he had not eaten them before was simple.

He had forgotten.

His mind had been completely filled with getting King Grade weapons, so healing had somehow been pushed aside.

Now that he had finally obtained one, he could afford to rest a little. It was only then that he suddenly remembered the pills, so he took them out and swallowed them.

Besides healing his body, Damian also began stabilizing his mind. After all, that pipa spirit had stopped the illusion right before he almost reached the best part, and now his lower body was still quite restless.

He coughed lightly and muttered, "That pipa spirit really played dirty. Giving a man that kind of illusion while he’s half-dead... and stopping it at that moment? What a cruel woman."

The storage ring trembled faintly.

HUMM!

Damian immediately raised one hand. "Fine, fine. I won’t complain."

The storage ring became quiet again.

Damian closed his eyes and focused on cultivation.

Chaos Qi moved through his meridians again and again, refining the medicinal power and calming his body.

Time passed quietly.

After a long while, Damian’s breathing finally became steady.

The wounds on his body were still there, but they were no longer life-threatening.

He stood up and stretched his shoulders.

CRACK.

His gaze moved deeper into the area, and he grinned. "Now then... what kind of weapon should I get next?"

A moment later, the pipa flew out from his storage ring.

The faint figure above it looked at him with a cold expression. "I can only recommend that you take, at most, two more King Grade weapons."

Damian frowned. "Why?"

The pipa spirit said calmly, "We King Grade weapons are very proud. We usually like to fight each other and are not very friendly with our own kind."

Damian rubbed his chin. "That sounds troublesome."

"It is." The pipa spirit glanced into the darkness.

Her voice became more serious. "The more King Grade weapons you carry, the more their weapon spirits will clash. If their temperaments do not match, they may fight inside your storage ring and destroy everything weaker than them."

Damian’s expression froze. "That sounds very troublesome."

The pipa spirit looked back at him. "That is why I said, at most, two more."

She paused, then added, "I know two other King Grade weapons that maybe, just maybe, will agree to follow you."

Damian’s eyes brightened.

The usual shameless smile returned to his face. "Then show me the way."

The pipa spirit stared at his smile and immediately regretted speaking too quickly. "You are already thinking something disgusting, aren’t you?"

Damian placed one hand on his chest. "I’m thinking about future gifts."

The pipa spirit spat, "That’s the disgusting part."

Damian coughed lightly. "Harsh."

The pipa spirit ignored him and floated deeper into the [Forbidden Deep Tomb]. "Follow me. The first one is not far."

Damian picked up the jade bottles, stored them away, and followed behind her with renewed energy.

---

Damian followed the pipa spirit deeper into the [Forbidden Deep Tomb].

At first, the darkness around them was only cold and heavy.

A while later, the air suddenly changed.

Heat rushed toward him from every direction.

The ground beneath his feet became black-red, and thin cracks glowed with molten light.

Damian frowned. "Damn... why is it suddenly so hot?"

The pipa spirit floated calmly ahead. "We are close."

Damian wiped sweat and blood from his face. "Close to what? A volcano?"

Before the pipa spirit could answer, the darkness ahead exploded with blazing light.

BOOM!

A massive hammer slowly appeared from the flames.

It was crimson red and black, with burning patterns crawling across its surface like living lava.

Its head was huge, heavy, and brutal, while the handle was wrapped in dark red fire-metal chains.

The moment it appeared, the entire area became even hotter.

Damian’s eyes brightened. "Oh? A hammer."

The blazing hammer suddenly trembled, and a rough, thunderous voice echoed out. "Hey, you joined a human?"

Damian raised his brow. "It talks too?"

The pipa spirit ignored him and answered coldly, "Not him. His woman."

The hammer’s flames paused slightly. "His woman?"

The pipa spirit said calmly, "I am more suitable for a woman. He also passed my test, so he is eligible to take me out."

The blazing hammer released a deep laugh. "I see. So now that you are here, does this man also want me?"

Damian grinned. "Of course."

The hammer’s flames burned brighter.

Damian quickly added, "Not for me, though. For my woman."

The hammer spirit was silent for a breath, then spoke bluntly, "I do not care much whether my wielder is a man or woman. I only care about power and blacksmithing skill."

Damian’s grin widened.

As it happened, he did have blacksmithing talent.

A Noble Grade blacksmithing talent.

Not the highest in the world, but definitely enough to make him more confident than most people.

He stepped forward despite the heat. "Good. Then let’s start the test."

The hammer laughed louder. "Hahaha! Then show me whether you are worthy of swinging me."

The moment its voice fell, the flames around the hammer exploded outward.

BOOM!

A wave of burning pressure slammed into Damian’s body.

His wounds immediately screamed.

Blood slid from the corner of his mouth again, but Damian did not retreat.

Instead, he raised his hand and let Chaos Qi wrap around his fingers.

The hammer spirit’s voice rumbled. "You are injured."

Damian wiped the blood away with his thumb. "Yeah."

"You are weak right now."

"Also true."

"You might die if you force yourself."

Damian smiled shamelessly. "Many women would be sad."

The pipa spirit’s faint face twisted. "Can you stop saying disgusting things for even one breath?"

Damian glanced at her. "No."

The hammer laughed again, louder this time. "Interesting! Shameless, but interesting!"
