For a moment, an awkward atmosphere filled the car.

Gu Ning wanted to explain, but she couldn’t find the right words. Instead, she looked away toward the grilled sausage stand outside.

The young dogs were gathered in a huddle, eating grilled sausages and looking at something they were holding.

Recalling how the little fox had just tricked her, Gu Ning instantly realized he was now scamming the young dogs. She tried to push the car door open, but it wouldn’t budge. So, she vaulted right out the window and furiously shoved her way into the huddle of dogs.

"One at a time, no need to rush. If you don’t have cash, you can pay with your terminal. If you don’t have a terminal, Crystal Stones are also fine. If you have nothing, kindly stand back."

Minoz waited gleefully for the young dogs to pay before pulling the "autographed photos" from his pocket.

The young dogs promptly paid up.

Seeing that they had plenty of money and were easy to fool, Minoz pulled out the same line he’d used on Gu Ning about Yuanbao being a real female. "I also have super limited-edition autographed photos of Yuanbao that carry her scent! The ones she’s personally touched are two hundred thousand Beast Coins—only twenty available! And the ones she’s kissed are five hundred thousand Beast Coins apiece—only five of those!"

The young dogs froze. ’Yuanbao is really a female?’

The members of the Wolf Team, craning their necks from the car, were utterly confused. ’What?’

"Look, this is a photo of me with Gu Demiao Ning and Yuanbao."

Minoz pulled out a photo and showed it to the young dogs.

Just then, Barto, who was driving the lead car, noticed that Gu Ning’s vehicle hadn’t moved in a while. He got out and walked over to the grilled sausage stand.

"So? What do you think?" Seeing the dumb dogs staring blankly at the photo, Minoz wagged his tail triumphantly. "See? I wasn’t lying, was I?"

Gu Ning, who had just pushed her way in, was speechless. "..."

She lunged forward, snatched the photo from Minoz’s hand, and held it up to her eyes for a closer look.

The photo showed the little fox posing with an unfamiliar Wolf Clan beastman and "her." "She" stood between the two, wearing a mask and the exact same outfit from one of Gu Ning’s videos.

’This is definitely photoshopped! If videos can be faked, a photo is nothing.’

A hand reached out from behind Gu Ning and took the photo from her.

Gu Ning looked up to see Barto.

"Where did you get this?" Barto asked the atavistic little fox, his eyes narrowing after he’d examined the photo.

Minoz caught the scent of an atavistic Mixed Breed on him, and his heart sank. What he hated most was running into one of his own.

But then he froze, stunned by the man’s slender, human-like form.

’The scent of an atavistic Mixed Breed, but a human form.’

Minoz’s gaze swept over the atavistic Mixed Breed before him. He wore a black combat suit and shoes that fit his build, and he had human hands and feet. It was a perfect human form.

In the instant Minoz was distracted, Barto’s fist smashed the blaring loudspeaker.

Minoz snapped back to his senses, swiftly grabbing his cash box and leaping nimbly over the heads of the crowd.

Gu Ning watched the little fox’s figure disappear from view, thinking he had gotten away. But a second later, she heard the fox cry out in pain.

The huddled members of the Dog Team scattered, clearing Gu Ning’s line of sight.

Vine had the little fox pinned to the ground, using restraints to bind his hands behind his back.

"Let me go, you stinking dog!" Minoz struggled in the snow. "What right do you have to grab me?!"

Vine picked up an autographed photo that had fallen nearby. "For selling fake autographs."

He normally wouldn’t have bothered, but this fox was scamming his own teammates—an entire group of them.

’Twenty thousand a pop was bad enough, but two hundred thousand? Five hundred thousand? He really had some nerve.’

Gu Ning walked over, picked up all the scattered photos from the ground, and then searched the little fox’s pockets, pulling out a thick stack of so-called autographed photos printed with her image.

Seeing this, Minoz bristled with rage. "Hey, that’s robbery! I’ll scream for help!"

Gu Ning thought, ’And here I am, the one he’s actually ripping off, and I haven’t even started yelling yet.’

She looked at the photos in her hand. They were mostly screenshots from videos she had posted. The signature was actually quite pretty, much nicer than her own. Her handwriting was still neat and blocky, not elegant and flowing like the autograph on the photos.

"Are the sausages ready yet?" Leo poked his head out of the car. Seeing Gu Ning standing there, he grinned. "Bring two of them over to my car. I’m starving. We can eat together."

"Is eating all you think about!" Vine scowled at him. "Look at the mess your teammates have gotten into!"

Chastised, the young dogs all straightened their backs and stood obediently, hiding their Yuanbao autographs behind them.

They didn’t really believe Yuanbao was a female anyway, but they thought it would be nice to keep the photos as collectibles.

Leo knew Vine could keep the young dogs in line, so he didn’t argue the point. "I’m recovering," he said. "My energy consumption is high, so what’s wrong with being hungry and wanting to eat?"

With that, he let his head loll to the side listlessly and gave Gu Ning a pitiful look, his eyes practically screaming, ’Please feed me.’

The young dogs gave Leo odd looks. ’Why does it look like the boss is wagging his tail?’
