Time passed slowly for Grey on his magic ship. Before he knew it, the night had gone by, and morning had arrived.

The cool air from the still and black Dead Sea drifted toward the harbor where Grey’s magic ship gently swayed.

However, with a barrier of spirit energy covering the magic ship, Grey neither felt the cold breeze nor smelled the stench carried by the sea air.

His eyes were wide open as he muttered some incomprehensible words to himself. A few moments later, Grey raised his head slightly and looked toward the sky, where the sun was slowly rising from the horizon.

"It’s already... morning." Grey said softly as he watched the sun rise from beneath the horizon, casting a warm glow over the earth.

It was only during times like this that the sun could be seen clearly in the sky.

At other times, the sky would be completely dark, and rays of light would hardly be able to pass through the thick clouds. Yet, no matter how cloudy the sky became, only the visage of the Hand of God could still be seen clearly.

It was as if...

Even the clouds were afraid of blocking the Hand of God.

Hence, even though they covered the sun and prevented its light from reaching the earth, they would still make way for the Hand of God, leaving its terrifying silhouette clearly visible in the sky.

Grey endured the feeling of sunlight on his skin for a while before his eyes furrowed into a slight frown. His gaze seemed to pierce through the distance, and before long, a soft voice rang out.

"Senior... I-is that... Are you there?"

A gentle voice stuttered softly.

Grey did not frown because he was unaware of her presence. He frowned because it was only now that she had finally decided to make a move.

Grey had noticed her presence long before the sun had risen.

However, she had only come out now, when the sun had already climbed high into the sky and would soon be covered by the clouds once again.

The owner of this gentle voice was the young woman whom Grey had used to escape from the middle-aged man in the Spirit Core Formation realm.

She was about the same age as Grey if only one year or two younger. Moreover, he did not know her name and only addressed her as ’the girl.’ However, the girl knew his name as she mentioned it when she spoke again.

"Senior Grey... Are you awake?"

Her stuttering had stopped, but the hesitation in her voice could still be clearly heard.

Grey thought for a few seconds before finally standing up.

On the slightly damp harbor, which smelled of death and decay, a young girl dressed in dark blue robes could be seen standing.

Her expression was filled with hesitation, and her hair was tied behind her head. Although she was not actively circulating her cultivation base, the spirit energy within her body circulated naturally out of instinct.

Hence, a thin barrier that could barely be seen with the naked eye formed around her body. The barrier covered her completely and prevented the salty sea breeze from blowing against her.

The girl waited for a few more seconds before the small figure of Grey finally appeared on the stern of the magic ship.

His expression was calm, and his eyes were filled with indifference.

Seeing him appear like this, the young girl became even more hesitant, and the sea breeze around them began to stir slightly.

"What do you want?"

His voice was cold and contained a slight charm that inexplicably enchanted the young girl.

Her hesitation instantly changed into a dazed expression as she stared blankly at Grey. It took her several seconds before she finally regained her senses and replied.

"Ehh, my master... The elder of the Second Sequence summons you to her abode on the mountain."

She snapped out of her daze and hurriedly spoke.

Onboard the magic ship, Grey’s eyes narrowed slightly as a crease appeared on his forehead.

"Summoning me...? Why is she summoning me?"

Grey muttered in a voice that only he could hear.

Since he was inside the barrier of spirit energy, neither the young girl nor anyone else nearby would be able to hear his words.

But Grey had already apologized for his past behavior, and he did not pursue the matter any further.

When he had coincidentally met the young girl at the medicinal shop, he had apologized to her and then left.

She also did not seem to hold a grudge against him. At the time, she had been in a flustered state, and Grey had thought that the matter had already ended.

Therefore, he had not given it any further thought.

"She cannot be summoning me because of that matter anymore. Some time has already passed since it happened. It must be for another reason."

Grey thought seriously for a moment before finally nodding toward the young girl.

As a disciple of the Sect, and not even an inner circle disciple, he could not reject the order even if he wanted to.

An elder held an extremely high position within the Sect, and they only followed the decree of the Sect Master.

The Sequence Elders were even more special.

Within the Sequence, their orders were no different from those of the Sect Master himself. Even the Sect Master’s authority might not necessarily be enough to interfere with the commands of a Sequence Elder.

In short, Grey had no other choice but to obey the summons.

’And I just got my magic ship and wanted to lay low yesterday.’

Grey sighed inwardly as he walked down from the magic ship and stepped onto the harbor.

With a slight wave of his hand, the magic ship immediately rose from the water.

Its enormous body rapidly shrank until it became small enough to fit inside a bottle.

Which it did soon after.

The young girl’s expression did not change much when she witnessed this scene. She had already seen this scene countless times before and also had a magic ship, so she was not too surprised by its transformation.

However, when Grey approached her and she could finally see his features clearly, her cheeks gradually became a little flustered.

She quickly lowered her head, seemingly afraid that Grey would notice the slight change in her expression.

Grey, however, paid no attention to her reaction.

He simply glanced at her indifferently before turning his gaze toward the distant mountain.

"Let’s go."

His calm voice caused the young girl to raise her head.
