"Y-you.... You want me to exterminate the whole village?" – asked Orion.

"Yeb." – replied Phantasia.

"That is your test."

"Just slaughter everybody in there."

"It is a commoner village, the resistance you should encounter there should be extremely minimal, nothing too hard for current you."

"...But... Why?" – asked Orion.

"..."

*Inhale*

"Don’t ask me stupid questions, girl." – said Phantasia as he took off his disguised form, causing the stolen flesh and horns to just disappear while Phantasia equipped his regular equipped at the same time.

"If you looked into me, you should know what kind of piece of shit I’m. What kind of shit I’m doing and what not." – said Phantasia as he put one of his claws below Orion’s chin.

"Don’t act cute or anything like that."

"We are still not allies or anything like that."

"That is why we need to obtain each other trust." – said Phantasia as he removed his claw as started walking around Orion, alarming the woman somewhat.

"In our team, the trust is most important factor."

"It isn’t power or status."

"It is trust."

"Got it?"

"I can make you strong."

"I can give you my trust."

"I CAN MAKE YOU INTO THE RANKER!"

"Heck! Maybe even somebody on par with master ranker."

"But first thing first."

"I want you to see you do THAT with your own hands."

"Murder every single person in that village."

"They are just bunch of innocent people and what not."

"Honestly speaking, their deaths would have no fucking meaning at all."

"What I want you to do is simple."

"Slaughter every single person there."

"Be it children or elderly."

"If you like, we can just make a contract where you will get paid for just doing that and you won’t need to join my team."

(Is he fucking crazy or stupid?!) – thought confused Orion.

(I mean, killing a village that is... What?)

(I just don’t get it.)

(He wants me just do that in order to prove myself?) – thought Orion as she looked down from the top of the cliff, gazing at the village.

"..."

Phantasia started slowly walking away, alarming Orion who could heard his footsteps moving further and further away.

"..."

"WAIT!" – shouted Orion.

"..." – Phantasia stopped in tracks without turning around or even saying anything.

"I will do it." – said Orion.

"I just have to kill everybody in the village... Is that correct?" – asked Orion... As Phantasia who still had his back against Orion had massive inhuman grin on his face after hearing Orion’s reply.

"Contract?" – asked Phantasia calmly.

"No." – said Orion as she approached the cliff.

"I will manage without it." – said Orion as she jumped down and began running straight towards the village while the darkness of the night helped her stay hidden.

And as she ran, Phantasia approached the cliff himself and observed the woman ran towards the village, entering the forest and then slowly approaching the forest.

"..."

(Well then, let’s see if you will do it or not.) – thought Phantasia as Orion took out her bow and short sword, before then running up the small wall surrounding the village.

"..."

(Oh god... I’m really doing that.) – thought Orion as she activated stealth skill and went over the wall.

(This honestly feels stupid.) – thought Orion as she gotten inside of the village and quickly realized that the defenses that the village had was barely anything.

(It feels like I’m... Fucking playing a role of a puppet.)

(How is that any different from working for those guilds?) – thought Orion as she noticed a village guard walking around... Giving the woman a chance to quickly assassinate the man with her machete.

"..." – but the woman hesitated, causing her chance to slip away as the man walked away.

"..."

(FUCK! WHAT ARE YOU THIINKING ABOUT?!)

(This isn’t the same!)

(I’m the one in charge! I’m the one with ability to choose!)

(I’M DOING THS OUT OF FREE FUCKING WILL!)

(Still, I just met the guy the other day!)

Orion was about to give up and just walk away, not willing to be a "pet" of anybody.

But then she also remembered it.

The humiliation.

The anger.

The tournament.

The suffering that was caused by the guilds.

"No." – said Orion as she held her bow in pure anger.

(I don’t care if I will fucking have to freaking bark on somebody command.)

(I don’t fucking care if I will be working with the devil.) – thought Orion as she pulled her string and aimed it at the villager was walking around drunk.

(I will not allow anybody else to walk on me like that.)

(EVER FUCKING AGAIN!) – thought Orion as she let go of her arrow, causing it to fly and pierce right through the head of the drunk man... Killing him right on the spot.

And right after that, Orion shown no mercy.

She began her hunt.

Murdering villagers left and right.

Ripping them apart with her machete... While using the bow and arrow to shot down anybody who tried to run away or raise the alarm.

And at one point, Orion encountered a family, a wife, a husband and the child....

But she still did the deed and murdered them in cold blood.

"..."

"Nice." – said Phantasia as he was using telescope to observe the brutal slaughter.

(It was 50/50.) – thought Phantasia.

(Orion... She... Well, there is no use beating around the bush.)

(She was about to snap.)

(I could tell how much pissed off she was.)

(How annoyed she was that she was such "nobody".)

(The guilds and their stupid business made that woman straight up filled that woman’s rage meter to the max.)

(However the is a problem.)

(She is nobody.)

(And she was fully aware about it.)

(She is fully aware of this fact and that she really have no physical way to even fight back or be annoying to them.)

(And that only pissed her off even further.)

(She already reached the breaking point... And the only real thing that was holding her back from just popping it up?)

(Simple.)

(Reason.)

(That was the only reason why she didn’t went completely mad.)

"And all she needed to break it was simple."

"A simple push."

"In form of a path." – said Phantasia to himself as he Orion was not stopping her rampage, to the point where she even started setting houses on fire in order to cut off people’s escape routes.

(She had no choice.)

(She had straight up no possibility to fight back or anything like that.)

(But what if she was given a chance?)

(What if a pathway would appear before her.)

(It would be obviously a pathway with some level of pain and what not.)

(She would knew about the side effects and what not by taking the selected path.... But at the same time.)

(She would obtain what she would want.)

(And it would go either 2 ways.)

(First, she would walk away.)

(She had some level of self-control and what not, while also not being some dumb idiot that cannot see the facts.)

"Or the second way it would go would be this."

"She would let it all go."

"And she would snap properly."

(And from the looks of things, she chose to snap.)

"Modin." – said Phantasia as one of the homunculus soldiers approached Phantasia.

"Yes master?" – asked the homunculus named Modin.

"Take the others and help her out in dealing with anybody who escapes the village." – said Phantasia.

"Only those who had escaped."

"Leave the ones who are still inside to her."

"Understood." – said Modin as she alongside her sister quickly jumped down the hill and ran towards village.

"..."

(Oh, this is interesting.) – thought Phantasia with the massive grim on his face.

(I thought it would be bit annoying or boring for bit longer, especially when she hesitated at first... But she quickly given up.)

(She chosen slaughter.)

(She knows that they are innocent.)

(She knows their deaths have no meaning at all.)

(And yet, she is doing that.)

(All in order to obtain the power.)

(Bitch.)

(In a way.)

(But at same time, she is willing to be a bitch in order to fucking bring chaos and destruction to those who dare to fuck with her.)

(And that what makes her scary.)

(She is willing to become my bitch in order to become a monster.)

(Even though it may be annoying, or maybe straight up making her boiling with rage... She is dead set on obtaining the power I’m offering.)

(She doesn’t care what sort of devil she will be making deal with.

"Ah... This s beyond fucking perfect."

(I think I found the best possible person that I can use as my weapon.)

The hunt continued for some time.

However, there was really no point in explaining what happed.

Since in the village, there was only two things present.

Flames.

And corpses.

"Well done, girl." – said Phantasia while clapping his hands as he walked into the burning village where Orion was standing in the middle of destroyed settlement.

"You passed the test with flying colors."

"..."

"So."

"What is the reward you want?"

"Some stuff I can make for you?"

"Or the deal with the devil?"

"..."

"Give me the motherfucking devil." – said Orion as she turned towards Phantasia.

"You son of a bitch."
