"Ethan..." Bella didn’t want to leave any negative impression on the child.

Ethan pressed his lips into a straight line and lowered his head, saying nothing.

The atmosphere was a bit awkward; the two assistants ate their food in silence, saying nothing more.

Director Ford and Sharon exchanged a glance and also said nothing more.

Bella reached out to ruffle the child’s hair and said, "Ethan, not everything happens for a single reason, you know?"

"I know." Ethan mumbled a response, understanding was one thing, but favoritism was another.

"Your sister isn’t that fragile." Bella smiled, "Eat something, you hardly ate anything just now."

"Okay." Ethan obediently picked up some food and started eating.

On the other side, Damian had already given Talia a skewer of grilled squid first before he took a clean plate to load the rest of the squid, then placed the eggplant and crucian carp on it before bringing them back.

"Wow, it smells so good." Clearly, it was the same seasoning, but the things Damian grilled seemed much more fragrant, and the colors looked more delicious too.

"It’s really tasty." The little girl followed closely beside Damian, holding a skewer of squid. Bella watched and felt like her daughter was being lured away, feeling a bit sour and jealous inside.

The little girl was quite perceptive, immediately offering the squid in her hand, "Mommy, eat."

Bella was instantly healed, taking a little bite for courtesy, "Thank you, Talia."

"You’re welcome." The little girl smiled and ran back to Damian’s side, holding up the squid, "Daddy, eat too."

Damian took a bite right where Bella had eaten.

He bit down in the same spot she had eaten from, and even looked at her intentionally while doing so, what was that all about!

Meeting his gaze, Bella’s face heated up a bit, and she quickly turned away, lowering her head to avoid showing her blushing face.

A glint of amusement flickered in Damian’s eyes as he gave the little girl a thumbs up.

The little girl winked at him, everything understood without words. She felt proud of herself for helping her daddy pursue her mommy.

After everyone finished lunch, drinking quite a bit of beer and basking in the sun, they all felt a bit lazy.

"Everyone should take a nap in the tents." Sharon suggested, "It’s not hot here, so even without air conditioning, sleeping should be quite comfortable."

"We have four tents, enough for all of us to sleep." Director Ford immediately said, "I’ll share a tent with Sharon."

Sharon was a bit embarrassed, "I’ll be with Bella..."

"Maybe President Sinclair has something to discuss with Bella, it might not be convenient for you to be with her." Director Ford immediately stood up and pulled Sharon away.

Sharon went along hesitantly, heading to the tent closest to the sunflower field.

The two assistants sensibly stood up, "Ah, so sleepy, we’ll go nap too. President Sinclair, Ms. Acker, good afternoon." Before the words were fully spoken, the two of them dashed off to the farthest tent as if they had oil under their feet.

Bella also stood up, smiling slightly, "President Sinclair, good afternoon. Talia, Ethan, we..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Talia immediately grabbed Ethan’s hand, acting cute and stubborn, "Uncle, you said you’d teach Talia to play the violin, didn’t you? Let’s go learn." With that, she started to drag Ethan away.

Ethan didn’t move his feet, so she puffed up her cheeks, looking as if she was about to cry.

"Don’t cry, don’t cry, Uncle will take you to play the violin." Ethan had no choice.

"Yay! Let’s go!" The little girl was instantly happy, sneaking another wink at Damian.
