We Live in Dragon’s Peak

Warrior's Trial

About Luiseine and Lyla, about Priscia and Niemia. Other than that, I was finally freed by the fact that it was time for a joint breakfast.

Mistral and Mr. Cornelia were out of the house at some point, and when me and Mr. Askles went outside, we all already had fun eating.

"This isn't right, we talked too much. I'm sure there's only room for you now. Son-in-law, let's hurry."

Mistral village meals are basically taken jointly. That said, I'm not properly prepared for the number of people, but I prepare many different dishes and take whatever I want from them, in the form of. So sometimes when you are late for meal time, there is only excess or very little left if you do poorly.

Me and Mr. Askles, who are late for breakfast time, rush to the joint kitchen in the long house.

But that's where the tragedy happened.

"Are you finally out? Work."

Zan caught me. [M]

"Yes? What's a job? Or let me have dinner."

Grabbed by the root and lifted like a cat, I stare resentfully at Zan's face, which had reached the same height.

"I'm late for time. It's your fault. Mr. Askles, I'll take this one."

"With that said, you were going to implement it early this year due to the impact of people's flying dragon hunting. I have no choice."

In an exchange of mysterious conversations, Mr. Askles abandons me and walks to the long house.

Yeah, I'm hungry on top of not knowing what's going on. I'd like you to at least have breakfast before I do. I sent the gaze to Zan, but it ignores me.

"Neemia, I want you to take us where we just talked."

"Okay."

Zan, who has no idea what my gaze looks like, grabs Niemia and gives her some instructions.

Neemia seems to understand, too, and when she rang a proper one, it became huge.

"Neemia, help me. At least after dinner."

"You can't. Suddenly."

"Gu"

Neemia traitor. You listen to Zan more than I ask. [M]

"I don't have a choice. If you don't, you won't get a snack."

What's my relationship with Neemia, losing the desire for a snack?

Unable to grasp the situation at all, I am transported by Zan to Niemia's back.

"I'm coming, too."

"We can't leave Ernea and Louiseine alone."

"Priscia goes too"

I don't know, everything seems to have been going on. For the sake of his work, Zan has acquiesced that Luiseine and Lyla and Priscia will accompany him.

"Don't be alarmed. Go away."

Mistral drops him off as he strokes Niemia's face.

"I'm leaving the village for a little while, so let's all get along."

"We were just talking, bridesmaid training?

"Yeah, that's right. I don't know what else to do."

We look down from above Niemia's back at Mistral, who looks a little troubled.

"That one seems to come pretty spiritually. But it's about you. I guess there's nothing like escaping."

"Yeah, just in case. I'll come back with a good smile."

Looks like Zan knows about the bridesmaid training too. When he exchanges words that contain, Zan flies instructions to Niemia.

And I knew nothing, and the villagers dropped me off and went up to the sky of Dragon Peak.

"Zan knows about Mistral's bridesmaid training, too."

"Hmm, that's not such a sweet thing. I hear a lot of people give up their marriage without getting through it."

"Is bride training for the Dragon Nation that tough?

"It's not exactly bridesmaid training. Well, that sounds hard."

"What's it about?"

I asked him intrigued, but Zan just stared at me and he didn't answer.

"Elnea, you should focus on your work now."

"Yes, we just wait and believe in Mistral."

Apparently, Louiseine and Lyla know the vibe. It's a secret to me, and I wonder what other people know about training. The question is awesome, but maybe another question is more problematic now.

Well, then, what's my job now?

I'm also concerned about Mistral, but I need to look at the work I can give myself.

On the back of Niemia, who flies gracefully through the sky of Dragon Peak, I stare at Zan and Luiseine.

No way. You're not saying this is a secret either, are you?

Shut up and stare back at me. I'm stuck in everyone's eyes.

He said he was a warrior's escort.

"Yeah, what does that mean?

Ask back to Priscia, who moved to my lap. But Priscia didn't seem to understand the meaning of the words she said. Luiseine and Lyla laugh at the way she tilts her little neck with me.

"Today, people from the Dragon Nation who want to be warriors during Dragon Peak will be gathered and put to the test."

"But it's dangerous, so they're going to get escorts out of each village. Elnea, you look like an escort."

"Huh!? I wonder if it's on me."

During this time, I just entered Dragon Peak. I've had scattered eyes on solo journeys, and of all the warriors in the Mistral village, I'm probably not the strong one. I've never played a game, so it's my feeling watching a warrior fight. Do I serve as an escort for the Dragon Clan who wants to be a warrior?

"There is a slight misunderstanding"

Zan adds a supplement to me, who was blue-faced after Luiseine and Lyla explained.

"I'm the one in charge of the escort out of the village. Watch your back while you take part in half the trials. I think he's going to be an escort for the women."

"That means"

"Take part in the trials to become a dragon warrior."

"I'll be your escort."

"We will also take part in the trials, so if you don't, you will protect us."

You've got a lot of work to do.

Gu, what a trial.

It's really dangerous outside the village of Dragon Peak. Strong demons come out, and even warcraft are trekking. The dragons are nesting everywhere, and some dragons attack relentlessly if they enter the territory. The trials of those who aspire to be warriors in such a dangerous world cannot be easy.

Yet while participating in the trial, I have to escort other warriors and protect Luiseine and Lyla even more.

How challenging a trial is that?

Zan puts his hand on my shoulder, stunned with his mouth wide open.

"Sometimes you learn to protect someone, by coaching them. You already have the strength to walk on Dragon Peak alone. Be aware of that."

I know what Zan is saying. What I'm missing now is confidence and self-awareness.

He inherited the Dragon Treasure Ball from Mr. Zildo and inherited the Dragon King. It's a great title for the Eight Dragon Kings. And it has gained just enough dragon power to match it, and it has also been recognized by the dragon people.

But I don't know, sometimes I wonder.

I don't have a real sense of how amazing the title Dragon King is.

Sestalinis and the other dragon kings are very casual people, and the people in the village treat me like a kind and intimate person. Sometimes I wonder if the title of Dragon King that I hold has been decoratively given to the people of Dragon Peak for recognition.

Of course, Mr. Zildo's trial was tough, and I have the pride of inheriting the title that Mr. Zildo has cherished and continues to defend. But there are times when I feel that way.

And I've got the power, but not the actual strength, so I can hardly beat a warrior in the Dragon Nation with experience in action.

Even Luirala the Demon Clan managed to win the swordsmanship battle, and he didn't end up giving a single machete to the black-armed demon swordsman who showed up in the fountain.

There are many dragon kings besides me, and they are not the kind of people I can admire directly. Like a warrior's listeer, he has no praise and admiration from around him, no great track record, and no experience just to feel his strength.

So I couldn't really feel like I was the Dragon King, and that didn't lead to confidence, so I was doing a self-analysis.

"It's really amazing. You can be proud."

"I wonder if so."

I just don't feel like bragging, but maybe I can admit myself a little more.

I wonder if it is a prerequisite for this trial to be properly completed. You can't fail a trial and feel confident and self-conscious.

All right, I'm motivated.

"Good luck, Master Ernea"

"No, no, no. If Lyla's gonna be in the trials, you have to work hard too."

"That's right, Mr. Lyla. If you fail the trial, Elnea, I'll leave you behind."

"That's it. It's terrible, Master Louiseine."

"Good luck with Louiseine, too, to the extent you can't."

"Yes, I will do my best not to be ashamed of my position as a war witch"

"Dear Luiseine, I will ask you to return to the temple in the event of a failed trial."

"Oh well, that's troublesome"

Priscia was looking up at me as I took my gaze off Louiseine and Lyla, who were distracted by the spark.

"Protect me."

"Priscia is joining us!?

You know, Priscia just arrived at Niemia, and I thought she was going home with Niemia when she got to her destination.

"If you were me now, you'd need enough shackles to protect your little girl."

Apparently Zan has accepted it too.

I can't help it. I'm the only one. Then I'm anxious, and I'll get Ares to stick with me.

"Oosanpo Oosanpo"

"No, because it's not a walk. It's a trial."

Calling Ares, Priscia jumps happily.

Even if it's a giant Niemia's back, it's dangerous to jump, so let's quit.

I hold Priscia and Ares. [M]

And I asked Zan the rest of the questions.

"There's going to be a trial to be a warrior."

"Yes."

"He said in the village, under the influence of the people's Fei Long hunt, what do you mean?

This summer. It's about time. In the hunting grounds of the Fei Long, which stretches to the north of the capital of the Kingdom of Arms, there will be an elite Fei Long hunt, right?

But how does that affect the trial of becoming a dragon warrior?

Zan laughs bitterly at my doubts.

"A flying dragon hunt? It's a good nuisance."

Apparently, people's flying dragon hunts are not pleasantly thought of by the Dragon Nation.

"When you do the Fei Long hunt, a lot of things don't happen"

"Mmm, really?

"Think about it. If you come to a place where you usually hunt, suppose on the contrary there was an undetected person after you. Does anyone feel comfortable about it? There will be anger when there are those who have attacked."

"Yeah, you're absolutely right."

"What do you do if you get angry"

"Yeah, I think I'll take a walk to distract you."

"I asked you, I was the fool..."

"When you're angry or you can't hold your anger, you go wild. I know because I've seen people like that all my life."

Say it yourself, Lyla can get a little sloppy.

You remind me of the past, and it's getting hard.

"Lyla's right. To clear up your depression, it's quick to break out. If that's the fierce Fei Long, it's probably even worse."

Right, right? Normally it can be rampant and distracting, right?

"So far, you'll see"

Think for yourself later, Zan said nothing more.

But I just figured it out.

A flying dragon coming to fetch bait is attacked the other way around. An angry Fei Long will be raging when he returns to Dragon Peak. Some of them come to the King's Capital, but others break out on Dragon Peak.

Then Dragon Peak becomes a more dangerous place.

It may have less impact on a single warrior or someone guarded inside a village, but it's still too dangerous for a dragon tribe trying to be tested for warriors.

So before the Fei Long rumbles out in the summer, the Dragon Nation must start a warrior's trial.

I didn't know people's flying dragon hunting was affecting this place.

I still admire dragon knights. That's why I'm so proud of the people who participate in the Fei Long hunt, and I want you to do your best.

But at the same time, now that I know the tyrant, I don't think he wants the damage done to the Fei Long, and I also thought I was sorry for the inconvenience caused to those living on Dragon Peak.

Is there anything you can contribute to me now that you know about the people and Dragon Peak about their influence and relationship with each other?

And while I protect everyone, will I be able to complete the trial? [M]

With complicated thoughts and feelings, I ride on Niemia's back to where the trial will take place.

Though I feel like my future is very difficult. But before that.

"I'm hungry."

My stomach was screaming.
