Chapter 135: Plan
’So, what’s exactly happening here? Is it all about the war’
Tyler thought to himself as he walked inside the city. This city was quite big, so it took him hours to move around.
This city had a population of nearly sixty thousand. Out of that, only five percent were old people.
Everyone else was either a teenager, a child, or middle-aged.
Tyler didn’t try to ask any questions. He could see many soldiers from the watchtower keeping an eye on him.
After all, he had been moving around quite a lot, without any purpose. This was bound to make them suspicious.
So if he started asking questions, they would become even more suspicious.
Tyler wasn’t interested in learning about this city either.
Although he hadn’t done extensive research, he knew a few things about the Purple Cloud Country.
Unlike Red Hog Country, this place had a high number of cultivators with D- and B-grade Inherent Techniques.
This was also the reason why Purple Cloud Country was more powerful than other countries.
It found the Mid-Grade Spirit Vein first and quickly took it over.
If the other countries hadn’t realized that the land belonged to all three countries collectively, the Purple Cloud Country would’ve cemented its status in the world.
Everywhere he walked, he could find Apprentices and Warriors, and even Masters.
Normally, Masters would be considered the trump card, but here, they could be found on any roadside.
’With this kind of difference, Red Hogg Country might never close the gap with the Purple Cloud Country.’
’Unless someone from this country goes above Death Rebirth Realm. But this also means their cost of living has been increasing every year.’
’If I open and expand the food company, I might be able to earn a lot of profit.’
’Considering the country is pouring so much money into this war, I believe that war has expanded more than just the Spirit Vein.’
’I need to investigate this situation, but I can’t reveal myself.’
He thought to himself before finding a hotel. He booked a room for three days.
"If you just hide within the town, you can easily escape from those cultivators’ sight."
Jenny’s voice rang in his head.
"Jenny, do you remember Porty?"
Tyler asked in a low voice.
"Who?"
Jenny sounded confused.
"He is the boy who tried to challenge Heaven with the power of Mephisto. In the end, he turned his resentment into bloodline."
Xue’s voice rang in both of their heads before she continued.
"Oh! I see! You mean someone will find out about the tower through special means?"
Tyler nodded.
"I encountered a Dragon Trial from the Spirit Realm in the Lower Realm when I was only at the Mana Condensation Realm."
"My parents have already reached the Immortal Realm. There is also an appearance of Heavenly Flame in Lower Realm."
"Don’t you think it is too much of a coincidence that I encounter so many unimaginable things?"
"Is it really that unrealistic?" Jenny sounded suspicious.
"Yes, Jenny! Think about my background! It doesn’t come from God Realm. Even my original technique would barely make it into the Immortal Realm."
"Then, there is a lack of talent. I started with no special physique or even bloodline. What I’ve is something I acquired later."
"In other words, there are bound to be impressive people in my rise."
"If even one of them learns about a Spatial Treasure that can hide my aura completely, they will get greedy."
Tyler stretched his arms and fell on the bed. As his back landed, he spoke.
"So, I can’t be careless. Carelessness brings tragedy. It’s better to take it slow than rush to the end."
He slowly closed his eyes before opening one of his eyes. He turned his gaze towards the door.
From near the table, a large amount of purple gas began leaking out. In less than ten seconds, the entire room was filled with this gas.
In an instant, the door was open automatically as two people burst inside. They wore a special mask while Tyler had already closed both of his eyes.
These two people immediately surrounded Tyler. One of them closed his eyes for a moment and opened them.
He looked at his partner and nodded.
His partner then moved his hand towards Tyler’s head.
Just before his hand touched his skin, Tyler caught his hand, yanked him close, and smacked him on the back of his neck.
In an instant, that man lost consciousness and fell.
The other immediately tried to run away, only for Tyler to strike him with his leg.
Crack!
The man felt his bones breaking as he fell to the ground.
Because of the mask, his sound didn’t come out. Tyler yanked him by the back of his neck as he passed out.
"If I hadn’t reached the Seven Star Mortal Body Realm, this gas would’ve affected me."
"But for them to put sleeping gas in this specific room feels a bit strange. Teacher, I need your help."
Without any hesitation, Tyler asked for help.
"Let me do it!"
Jenny’s voice rang from the tower as she appeared out of his body. She was wearing red pants and a yellow tank top.
Because of the dress, her body looked extremely hot.
His reaction didn’t escape her eyes. She smirked and turned her attention towards those two people.
Just like Xue, she started reading their memories without even touching them.
"Tsk! Tsk! Within a decade, they have installed sleeping gas and made the doors automatic in all the hotels in this city."
"Not just this city but also every other city. You don’t have to investigate anything. I have all the information about them."
Hearing that, Tyler quickly asked her about the information, but she did two things before telling him anything.
First, she erased the memories of Tyler beating them.
Then, she made new memories of them reading Tyler’s memories and finding nothing suspicious.
She even made him a proper identity.
He was the son of the Hidden Family Head, and his name was Shiro.
Hidden Families were families with barely any contact with the other families and the country.
But these families also hold the highest level of strength. Shiro, being one of the top-tier geniuses in his family, was sent out to experience the world.
Because he had lived a very spoiled life, his parents wanted him to grow up into a better leader while also improving to the Soul Sublimation Realm.
They didn’t send any guardian, but Jenny did add something else.
After doing that, they sent them out and closed the door.
Two of them finally woke up outside the room, feeling a bit confused.
But with those memories in their mind, they quickly realized what they needed to do.
"Hmm! What kind of memories did you install in his mind?"
Tyler curiously asked as he sat on the bed.
Jenny sat next to him and explained.
"Nothing too crazy! Just a young master of a Hidden Family who has come out to gain experience."
"Just to make them believe in this story, I added a self-destruction command to his mind."
"After telling them everything, that guy will self-destruct. It will act as a warning to not interfere with your next goal."
Hearing that, Tyler couldn’t help but chuckle.
"If you hadn’t done that, I would’ve spent several days evading their search while also trying to gather as much information as possible."
"Jenny, do you have any technique that can rewrite others’ memories?"
If it were just learning information through others’ souls, he could do that. He had learned a technique from Xue after all.
But he didn’t know how to create an illusion or even extra memories in others’ minds.
Jenny shook her head.
"This has nothing to do with technique. Once you learn the mysteries of the souls, you will be able to do just this."
Hearing that, Tyler didn’t feel sad. Instead, he changed the conversation.
"So, what about this country’s situation? What do I need to do to get there?"
Jenny folded her arms and coldly replied.
"It’s simple. Join the army! If you can kill nearly five hundred people from the enemy team, you can present one request to the commander stationed there."
"With his/her agreement, you can use the Mid-Grade Spirit Vein to improve your cultivation."
"By the way, that’s why I made your identity as a young master from Hidden Families."
"They don’t lack resources, but they need a powerful and knowledgeable leader. So, they send you to not only improve your strength but also your intelligence."
Jenny rolled her eyes as she continued.
"If those people aren’t idiots, they will come up with the same explanation."
"In other words, as long as you don’t reveal the Spirit Flame, you can do whatever you want. It’s best if you use your swordsmanship."
"It will further establish your reputation in this country and among the higher-ups."
Hearing that, Tyler nodded.
"Alright! I’ll follow your plan."
