What Do You Mean There Are Other Transmigrators In My Harem Fantasy?

Chapter 1481: Anyone Not Good Enough, Please Leave

The Chancellor told me that she would teach me more about chantless magic the next time and more advanced magic as well so I went for my next class.

I checked my schedule to see that my next class was supposed to be Pyromancy which was located in a specific group of buildings that was dedicated to elemental studies.

From what I could see on the map, there was also an island that was dedicated to practical lessons for elemental magic practice but I guess for the first lessons, they would want us to be concentrating on theory instead to figure out how good of a mage we are.

The classes were split according to your proficiency so I joined the class meant for tier two Pyromancy students.

I used the teleportation array to get there and I found myself standing in front of a set of impressive looking buildings that were arranged in a rectangular area.

Not gonna lie though... I actually would rather fly here than use those teleportation arrays...

I kind of want to feel the wind in my hair and see the entire school from above instead of just zipping across the campus like this.

Oh well... I’ll get that flying permit next year and after that, I’ll be able to fly around as much as I want~

I found my way to my class, using the signs around the building that pointed me to the lecture hall labelled ’Intermediate Pyromancy’ beside the door.

The hall was relatively big and the place was filled with quite a lot of students when I walked in.

The moment I stepped in, I felt a ton of eyes shift towards me as the students in the hall beheld me, the weird Meslatar who had arrived to class while carrying a big egg.

No doubt they must be wondering why they were stuck with a weird student like me.

Before I could wonder where I should sit, I felt a presence beside me and turned to see who it was.

I almost jumped in surprise when I saw it was Katsuki standing there.

"Katsuki? What are you doing here?"

"Mistress... I am also here to learn Pyromancy, Mistress."

Oh... Oh right...

I actually forgot that Katsuki was proficient in Pyromancy at the same tier I was... That’s embarrassing...

I guess I’ll at least have her in this class so that’s better than me being the only one here by myself.

"Shall we find a seat then?" I suggested.

"Of course, Mistress."

I stepped inside the hall with Katsuki in tow, looking for somewhere that we could claim as our seat since it looked like this place operated on a free seating arrangement.

And just like what you might expect from students, the seats at the back have already been taken up while the seats at the front were quite empty.

Still, there were a couple of students who took the front seats, most of them sitting by themselves.

Honestly, I was kind of expecting the opposite to happen here since you would definitely need to do your absolute best here if you want to advance, so sitting at the back and slacking in class isn’t going to do you any favours here.

The school isn’t interested in keeping any failures after all.

I took one of the seats near the front with Katsuki, both of us settling into the seat side by side while waiting for the teacher to arrive.

In the meantime, I heard whispers coming from behind us as the students started murmuring amongst themselves.

"Why is she carrying a rock?"

"I heard it’s supposed to be an egg..."

"So she’s the one?"

"Yeah... Don’t even look at her..."

"She looks pretty though?"

"She beat up a couple of seniors for looking at her, don’t do it bro, it’s not worth it..."

Hey, while it’s true I beat up a couple of seniors, they started it! It’s not like I just went to beat them up simply because they looked at me, ok?! Get your facts straight!

I wanted to turn around just to see who was talking all that crap when the door slid open and who I assume to be the professor of this class came floating in.

I assumed they were the professor since they had an azure coloured robe wrapped around their shoulders and they were a Fuelite.

Their body was made out of literal fire and I can only assume that the Fuelite was a male since they adopted masculine features with broad shoulders and a muscular chest with a rather masculine face.

Even though they were made of fire, it looked more like it was a person that was lit on fire rather than a fire in the shape of a person since I could see the dark shadows of a humanoid body underneath the flames.

I guess that’s how Fuelites function?

The Fuelite floated to the front of the room before turning to face us, his fiery eyes taking a moment to scan the room.

I noted that he narrowed his eyes at the people seated at the back with a slight hint of disapproval before he scanned the students at the front, his gaze pausing for a moment longer on me before he spoke up.

"I am Professor Igria. And before anyone asks... No, I am not related to the Chair of our Pyromancy department, Professor Ignia. Again, we are not related so do not mistake us for that."

I’m guessing the Head of the Pyromancy department was also a Fuelite and their names certainly are quite similar...

Also, his voice sounds pretty smooth as well. I was honestly expecting his voice to be deep and cackling or something.

He then raises his arm, prompting fire to appear around him before lighting up the other magic lamps in the room with a fiery, orange glow, basking the entire room with the warmth from the flames.

"Welcome to Intermediate Pyromancy Class. All of you are here because you have at least mastered the basics of Pyromancy and you are seeking to advance even further in your proficiency in it. If that is not your goal, please leave the class right now and do yourself a favour by removing your name from this class. For the first week, we accept class withdrawals without penalty. Once this week passes, whatever class you are in will be what you will be tested on. And if you are not prepared to excel, then you will fail."

Whispers came from behind me but the professor did not wait as he flared up a large ball of fire in front of him, letting it suspend itself in front of us.

But even with its size, the heat radiating off from the fireball seemed quite mild despite that.

I leaned forward to inspect the fire, wondering just what kind of magic he cast to create it while I looked up at it with interest.

Beside me, Katsuki seemed to have the same idea as well since she also tilted her head slightly while watching the flames closely.

The Professor floated towards the seats and started pointing at the students seated behind us, "You and you. You as well. The three girls over there... The one by the corner and the three of you who have been trying to eat snacks behind your robes... All of you, out of my class right now and withdraw your names from being in this class."

There was a pause before one of the students that had been called out leapt to his feet and cried out indignantly.

"What?! Why?! What did we do?!"

The professor gestured towards the students he had pointed out, "All of you showed fear of fire. You, especially, even recoiled back when the fire appeared. A Pyromancer who is afraid of fire will never be able to advance in Pyromancy. I am doing all of you a favour right now by letting you leave instead of wasting time here."

The student who had protested didn’t seem convinced as he started walking towards the professor.

"That’s not fair! I... We were just surprised because it appeared so suddenly! We were scared of its sudden appearance than the fire itself!!"

The professor gave him a look before reaching out his hand, prompting a small ball of fire to appear above his palm.

He held it there for a moment before doing an underarm throw to toss the fireball at the guy.

The student let out a shout of alarm and scurried back from the ball, letting it hit the ground where it burst into embers before being snuffed out.

"Are you crazy?!" The student shouted.

The professor said nothing and created another fireball, this time tossing it towards me instead.

I was going to catch it instinctively but Katsuki moved before I could, my maid shifting herself in its path and snatching it out of the air.

Even though I say snatch... It wasn’t like she grabbed it out of the air but more like she used her own Pyromancy to take control over the fireball and let it float in between her hands before she snuffed it out. It’s like she already knows she won’t get burned.

The professor nodded at her before turning back to the students, "Please leave. Now."

The students quietly gathered their things and started filing out of the class after that.

Hmm... I somehow have a feeling that my teachers in this academy might be really interesting~

I’m already quite looking forward to it, to be honest~
