Xiao Rou wiped her sweat hard, bowing her head and silently eating.

Most girls have a strange phenomenon; whenever they are in a bad mood, they seem to love venting through binge eating or shopping sprees.

Zhou Chengchen was no exception. After coming out of the French restaurant, she dragged Xiao Rou to a nearby shopping center, ignoring the price, regardless of whether things were useful or not, buying anything that caught her fancy.

Soon, the two girls had a bunch of stuff piled up in their hands, and after getting tired of shopping, they found a milk tea shop to rest. Zhou Chengchen’s mood had eased significantly.

Xiao Rou looked at the chaotic heap, convinced that the person opposite her likely no longer remembered what she had bought.

"Cheng Chen, is that enough? Shall we go back?"

Xiao Rou checked the time; it was already late, and if they stayed longer, the shopping center would close.

Zhou Chengchen nodded, and they finished their milk tea before heading out to hail their respective rides home.

Zhou Chengchen didn’t tell Xi Siyan about what happened today, but Xi Siyan found out anyway.

After all, when parents are invited, she might not say anything, but Qi Cheng, as the mother, still talked about it.

No matter how much the two siblings bicker, Zhou Qi, who always protects his sister at critical moments, informed Xi Siyan as soon as he got the news.

Zhou Chengchen’s phone died shortly after she answered Xi Siyan’s call.

Returning home, after showering, she dumped out all the chaotic things she bought, without the energy to tidy up, and then took her phone to charge and turn on.

The screen lit up, and several messages and missed calls from Xi Siyan popped up, leaving Zhou Chengchen stunned; she was about to call back when the phone rang again.

Zhou Chengchen’s mood had improved a lot. Seeing Xi Siyan’s phone, she smiled and answered: "Xi."

There was no sound from the other side, only silence.

Zhou Chengchen frowned, took down the phone to ensure the call was connected, and called again: "Xi?"

"Hmm."

Finally, someone spoke this time.

Though simple, Zhou Chengchen sensed the gloom in his tone, and her tone softened: "What’s up?"

There was silence again; two seconds later, Xi Siyan spoke: "Tomorrow, want to go see a movie?"

Zhou Chengchen didn’t expect Xi Siyan to come out with such a sentence suddenly, and she blurted out without thinking: "Sure, sure."

"Then tomorrow at 2 PM, Universal Cinema?"

"Okay, okay."

No more words were needed; both parties hung up, and Zhou Chengchen held the phone, stunned for two seconds.

Watching a movie... Is this the rhythm of a date?

She instantly felt even better; though now being alone with Xi Siyan wasn’t difficult, even an extra second was delightful. Such alone times never got tiresome.

Looking again at all the things bought today, Zhou Chengchen had the mood to organize them.

Her purchases were quite random—small accessories, clothes, shoes, bags, and such.

Zhou Chengchen picked out a newly bought outfit from the pile, removed the tags, and rushed downstairs hugging it.

It’s a date, after all; it deserves some careful consideration.

Laundry, drying, neatly hung by the bedside.

The next day, Zhou Chengchen woke up a bit late and went straight to lunch. Zhou Qi, after finishing a game, came downstairs only to see Zhou Chengchen already sitting at the dining table.

"Hey, in a good mood, new clothes?"
