"Didn’t you refuse?"

"Well, our dean personally called and hoped I’d participate. With such enthusiasm, how could I refuse? Right, big brother?"

Zhou Chengchen said this, playfully blinking her eyes, as if trying to make her words more believable.

Zhou Qi was momentarily thrown off, unsure whether to believe her or not, and just glancing at Zhou Chengchen suspiciously: "Really?"

"Really!"

Zhou Chengchen nodded vigorously, continuing to add credibility.

Her words were nine parts true and one part false; the college wanting her to join was true, the dean calling her was true, but she still hadn’t planned to participate, merely finding a random excuse.

"Brother, do well in the competition. Don’t let down your sister’s painstaking efforts. Win a championship for me to see."

Zhou Qi rolled his eyes at her, but his words were certain: "Absolutely."

With a flight scheduled for the evening after tomorrow, Zhou Chengchen had her things packed. After some thought, before sleeping, she sent Xiao Rou a message, telling her she’d be leaving the day after tomorrow, hoping to meet once more tomorrow.

Xiao Rou replied immediately, and they agreed to meet at noon at the entrance of Xiao Rou’s school.

Zhou Chengchen got up early, exercised a bit in the neighborhood, then ate breakfast with her parents, laughing and chatting all the while. Zhou Qi watched her, feeling she wasn’t truly affected, but still sensed something was off.

Yet there really wasn’t anything evident from Zhou Chengchen, as if everything was fine.

She leisurely set out at ten-thirty and reached Xiao Rou’s school entrance before eleven-thirty. Xiao Rou was already there.

"Cheng Chen."

"Aren’t you on vacation? Why are you still at school? Do you like university life that much?"

Xiao Rou smiled: "Well, it’s for my internship. My internship is working as a counselor at the school."

Zhou Chengchen wasn’t too familiar with the domestic school’s mechanisms, casually nodding her head, and Xiao Rou had already linked arms with her: "I’m not hungry yet, are you?"

"Not hungry."

"Then let me show you around the school, then we’ll grab lunch. Let me tell you, there’s a grilled fish place here that’s super delicious, you’ll love it."

"Alright, you decide."

Xiao Rou’s school was quite decent, just surrounded by Q University and K University, both top universities nationally and globally ranked, making it seem somewhat inferior.

The campus scenery was quite nice, and after a stroll, they left from the other gate, heading straight to the grilled fish restaurant.

The area around schools always had various delicious and affordable foods.

"By the way, Cheng Chen, Q University is just next door. Do you want to take a look?"

Xiao Rou asked cautiously, just because she’d noticed Zhou Chengchen glanced multiple times at Q University’s gate, deciding to test the waters with a question.

Q University... Zhou Chengchen didn’t really feel much for it, but it held a special place.

After a few seconds of silence, Zhou Chengchen nodded: "Sure."

The grilled fish tasted good, and both girls ate until full, then crossed the street and directly entered Q University.

Xiao Rou was clearly familiar with the place, even if not her school, she introduced it as if it were.

"Wow, no wonder it’s your boyfriend’s university, you’re so familiar."

Zhou Chengchen teased ambiguously, making Xiao Rou blush instantly.

Though it was vacation time, many stayed at Q University, so the campus didn’t feel deserted. After walking a while, Zhou Chengchen suddenly paused.
