Who Let Him Cultivate?! (WX)

Chapter 1316: The Heavenly Emperor Descends

When Shi Wumian drew close enough to make out the Cultivation World, a sense of foreboding welled up within him. It’s too big. That celestial body before my eyes is too massive. It’s a perfect cube.

Stars are as insignificant as dust before it. Such a celestial body shouldn't exist naturally in the cosmos. The Cultivation World completely defies my understanding.

When he heard the command ship’s successive distress calls and pleas for help, he no longer hesitated, ordering the remaining warships to flee immediately. This is no wonderful world with bountiful spirit stones—it’s a devil realm teeming with monsters and fiends!

But how could the Fusion cultivators forming the first line of defense possibly give Shi Wumian a chance to escape?

“You think you can leave after coming to our Cultivation World?!”

“All of you shall remain!”

The Fusion cultivators were riled up at the sight of Shi Wumian’s fleet.

Officially, they had been stationed here for over half a year, waiting for Shi Wumian’s assault, yet he had used something akin to spatial spells to send his forces directly inside the Cultivation World. What was the point of them standing guard here then?!

Personally, their friends had been showing off captives and spoils over quantum communicators, while they had gained nothing despite being on the front lines.

Furthermore, some of them had broken through to Fusion Stage during the war preparation period, all for the sake of resisting the Zhutian Civilization and rendering meritorious service.

“Shrinking Earth To Inches!”

“Close Horizon From Cliff!”

“Divine Foot!”

“Boat, come!”

“Senior Brother Lu, let me hitch a ride!”

The Fusion cultivators unleashed every technique at their disposal, dishing out all kinds of spells and magical treasures. If they let Shi Wumian’s fleet escape, they could never show their faces again.

The Transcendent Tribulation cultivators of the second defense line chuckled at the sight, reminded of their younger selves. They had long passed the age of enjoying the spotlight and decided to let the young ones have their moment.

“Quick, open the wormhole!” Shi Wumian shouted frantically.

The technician was drenched in sweat. “Commander Shi, our spaceship needs to be fixed in position before we can open a wormhole.”

“Then stop the ship right now and build the wormhole!”

The fleet halted. Receiving the command, the five hundred warships generated infrasonic resonance, and a barely perceptible wormhole appeared.

“Faster, faster!” Shi Wumian noticed the cultivators closing in, as though they were teleporting.

“Report, wormhole construction is complete!”

“Don’t dream of escaping! Heaven-Flipping Seal!” A brilliant golden Heaven-Flipping Seal illuminated the dark cosmos, brimming with Buddha-nature.

A split second before the Fusion cultivators arrived, the warships swarmed into the wormhole. The Heaven-Flipping Seal missed, and the wormhole entrance vanished into the vast expanse of the cosmos.

“We’ve finally escaped.” Having narrowly escaped, Shi Wumian felt himself going limp, as if all his bones had been removed.

Just then, an alarm blared, jolting him. “What’s happening?”

Before any subordinate could answer, the alarm said it all. “Alert. Alert. Unknown spatial fluctuations detected.”

The wormhole that had just closed reopened. One after another, terrifying cultivators who had traversed the starry sky poured out, wielding primitive weapons. They rubbed their hands in anticipation. Their menacing gazes were full of excitement.

Shi Wumian’s eyes widened. They actually caught up?

The warriors who understood spatial technology were even more terrified. The better they understood it, the more they grasped how terrifying these people were. Traversing space with one’s body is one thing, but these people can tear wormholes apart with their bare hands! What in the world are those humanoid lifeforms?!

Their weapons were all primitive—hammers, axes, swords, and sabers—yet the abilities they showcased were heaven defying.

“Fight them with everything we have!” Shi Wumian was enraged. He had never been so humiliated. They all say that one shouldn’t pursue a cornered foe, lest they be driven into biting back. Today, I’ll show these humanoid lifeforms the terror of the Zhutian Fleet!

The five fleets of a thousand warships sent into the Cultivation World are ordinary warships with standard armaments. My five hundred warships here are the main force!

“Activate plasma-cutting warships!”

A red light ray appeared between two warships. It was the plasma-cutting line, a brand-new weapon developed after the Heavenly Emperor took over the Zhutian Civilization.

In the past, the Zhutian Civilization’s star-destroying weapons had destroyed stellar cores and planetary structures, causing them to collapse under their own gravity. But the plasma-cutting line could slice a planet cleanly in two.

Its only drawback was its immense energy consumption, but now that things had come to this, energy was the least of their concerns.

“What was that?” A Fusion cultivator charged first and was struck by the plasma-cutting line. The extremely thin red light ray passed through him. He felt nothing and was perplexed. “What kind of attack was that?”

Shi Wumian guffawed. Aboriginals be aboriginals. They think they can take any attack head-on with their tough bodies. Anyone cut by the plasma will be left with an exceptionally clean cut, so smooth that they won’t even realize their head has been severed from their body.

The cultivator turned his head and noticed his companions’ stares. “Why are you all looking at me like that?”

A companion pointed at his head. “Your hair has been sliced off.”

“What?” The cultivator touched his head. Indeed. It was as if someone had taken giant scissors and randomly snipped the hair around his neck.

“Damn it. You extraterrestrial people are so vicious! How dare you humiliate me like this?! Nether World Ghost Fire!” Ghostly green flames materialized out of thin air, resembling scattered starlight.

Shi Wumian was stunned. We are in a vacuum. Where did the flames come from?!

The Nether World Ghost Fire clung to the warships. As they were essentially spheres of flesh, they ignited instantly upon contact, burning like ghost ships.

“Sixteen-Foot Golden Body.” Shi Chan of the Hanging Monastery jumped down from Lu Yang’s wupeng boat and manifested the Sixteen-Foot Golden Body, barreling through warships like a bowling ball toppling pins.

“Mountain-Suppressing Great Hand Seal!”

“Heaven-Earth Staff!”

“Immobilization Talisman!”

Shi Wumian had thought that with his prized fleet fighting to the death, they could at least drag these aboriginals down with them. However, the moment they clashed, he understood why Fleets One through Five had screamed for him to flee.

These aboriginals are practically monsters wearing human skin! No attack can harm them! Plasma-cutting lines, infrasonic wave attacks, nanomachine clouds, gravitational wave bombs... everything is utterly useless!

It was a completely one-sided slaughter. The cultivators were initially excited, but soon grew bored. The warships burst at the slightest touch, posing no challenge. They even had to be careful not to damage the spoils and captives. We have prepared for the war for over half a year, yet this is all the enemy amounts to?

Shi Chan ripped apart the command ship and prepared to capture Shi Wumian alive.

Suddenly, a golden light streaked from afar. A golden deity bathed in holy radiance appeared at the center of the battlefield. Shi Chan and the others hadn’t even seen how he arrived.

A bizarre atmosphere fell over the battlefield. Both sides tacitly ceased fighting.

The golden deity didn’t deliberately exude any aura, yet his every movement radiated boundless might, proclaiming his identity as the sovereign of the cosmos.

The Heavenly Emperor surveyed the battlefield and shook his head inwardly. I still came too late. The Biluo Heaven Fleet has already gone to war with the Cultivation World, but it isn’t too late yet.

Shi Wumian was overjoyed at seeing a new hope and was beside himself with excitement. Before the Heavenly Emperor could speak, Shi Wumian yelled, “His Majesty the Heavenly Emperor has come to lead the campaign in person!

"Surrender at once!”

The fleet remnants had been on the verge of surrender, but when they saw the Heavenly Emperor descend, their fighting spirit reignited. They launched a new assault while chanting, “His Majesty the Heavenly Emperor is leading the campaign in person!”

A question mark popped out of the Heavenly Emperor’s head. Shi Wumian, I should have come and slapped you to death the first chance I got!
