So, there’s an intruder at the Sector Security. It really does sound like a serious issue.
But in this instant, she couldn’t help but feel a bit deflated.
To be fair, for most of her life, Akiza had been an introverted girl. She rarely opened her heart to anyone, even to the very few she trusted, and hardly ever shared her true feelings.
But today, she had finally mustered the courage to say something heartfelt to someone. The atmosphere had just built up... only for this person to suddenly interrupt and tell her to stop talking, claiming there was an intruder.
Akiza was momentarily a little frustrated, but she couldn’t really argue—the presence of an intruder was indeed an emergency.
Still, she couldn’t help but think: Had this guy just been zoning out from the very start and not listening to anything she’d said?

Currently, the Sector Security was his domain. Anyone with malicious intent who broke in would be noticed. He could also sense the person’s power—it was unremarkable or, more accurately, only average on a supernatural level.
They weren’t some formidable Duelist with powerful dark forces—probably just a regular person who was agile or had certain special skills.
This actually made Kira more impressed.
To infiltrate the Sector Security without any supernatural powers? That took both physical skill and impressive hacking abilities.

Kira became interested, wanting to see which expert dared to trespass into his Security.

At this moment, the intruder—a sturdy man in a black suit—was bending as he moved through the labyrinthine tunnels beneath the Security.
And then, a voice suddenly boomed above him:
"Since you’re already here at the Sector Security, why not come upstairs and have a seat and a proper chat? Why sneak around down here?"
Hearing the voice, the man was startled and instinctively took two steps back, looking up.
He immediately spotted ’Director Goodwin.’ The white-haired director stood mid-air, hands behind his back, seemingly floating, looking down at him with a smile.
The man was shocked:
"Goodwin? How did you...!?"
He truly was surprised. He had thought this infiltration had been a success—he hadn’t triggered any alarms, and everything had gone perfectly.
How could he have been discovered?
Kira locked eyes with him, furrowing his brow as if recognizing the man:
"Are you... Elsworth? The Leblanc family’s caretaker for Sherry Leblanc?"
This question left the man even more shocked, at a rare loss for words.
How could he even know about Miss Sherry?
Seeing his reaction, Kira knew he’d guessed right.
Sherry Leblanc: A character introduced in late Yu-Gi-Oh! 5DS. She’s a tall, blonde, blue-eyed lady with exceptional dueling skills.
She was born into wealth, but her father discovered the Iliaster Organization’s secret manipulation of history. To silence him, the family was destroyed.
The orphaned Sherry was rescued by her loyal family caretaker, Elsworth, and wandered the world ever since.
She grew up mastering remarkable skills: elite combat prowess, hacking talents sufficient to infiltrate the Security, and—most importantly—dueling skills that were evenly matched with Yusei Fudo in their first encounter.
Her life’s sole goal was revenge: to investigate the Iliaster Organization for destroying her family, find her father’s killer, and avenge him.
"So you’ve come to the Sector Security... I see, you think there are clues about Iliaster hidden here?" Kira murmured.
Not only did this person know his identity, but even their purpose had been seen through. Elsworth was even more shocked, sensing that this man was far too dangerous.
Kira continued:
"You’re just a caretaker. If you’re here, Sherry must be too... Interesting. Though at the moment, I haven’t sensed anyone else."
"But since you embody that traditional samurai spirit, even if I asked you where your mistress was, you wouldn’t tell me honestly, right? If that’s the case... Let’s do it this way."
He slowly put on his Duel Disk.
Elsworth spoke in a deep voice:
"A duel, then?"
"Exactly. Let’s resolve things as duelists," Kira replied. "I remember you’re a duelist yourself. Your pride won’t let you refuse, will it?"
"If you win, I’ll let you go, as if you were never here. How’s that?"
Elsworth considered this.
Indeed, as a duelist, his pride wouldn’t allow him to refuse. More importantly, this might buy some time for Miss Sherry.
"Very well!"
Elsworth stepped forward, his voice grave.
"Then let me experience the skills of the Security’s director!"

"I’ll go first. Draw!"
Elsworth took the first turn.
He didn’t know much about Goodwin, nor had he heard of any legendary achievements. Still, as a duelist, Elsworth instinctively sensed the strength emanating from his opponent—this was no ordinary foe. He stayed vigilant and did his best.
"I summon ’Spirit Summit Warrior,’ in Attack Position!" (Anime Card.)
The monster Elsworth used in the anime. A swirl of starlight opens, and first a samurai blade cuts through. Radiant sparks fly as a black-armored samurai spins into being, his longblade lowered, tip gleaming.

Elsworth played another monster. A red-armored samurai slams his huge blade into the ground, sending a spray of sparks.

Another anime card. Its ATK is 0, but as long as it’s on the field, all battle damage to its controller from Warrior monsters becomes 0.

The aura of synchro lights is cleaved by twin blades. A green-armored samurai with flowing silver hair lands lightly, swords in both hands.

Elsworth answered grimly.
