Chapter 1039 - 791: Leg (Part 3)
Another group was formed by all the students from the academy who came to intern at Jingwei, and Nan Zhubin was added to it. The current message is from this group.
[Has anyone reached the entrance? Let’s gather at the entrance of the outpatient building first, don’t go in one by one.]
[Arrived, arrived, gathering at the entrance.]
[Who hasn’t arrived yet? We counted here and seem to be missing one.]
[Seems like it’s a freshman brother?]
Looks like they were made to wait.
Nan Zhubin hurried towards the outpatient building.
Standing at the entrance of the mental health center was a line of fifteen people, no more, no less, gathered in threes and twos, and among them, there was only one boy.
Some were looking down at their phones, some were flipping through the folders in their hands, some were chatting softly with each other.
Some showed a bit of nervousness, some carried a hint of expectation, and others were visibly impatient.
[I’ve arrived, I see you all.]
Nan Zhubin sent this in the group.
As they all spotted Nan Zhubin, the nervousness on their faces eased, expectations changed in kind, and impatience vanished without a trace.
The lone male seemed relieved, quickly walking over to Nan Zhubin before the other girls had decided what to do.
He started a conversation very familiarly: "You’re Nan Zhubin, right? Are you a freshman brother? Did you come straight from graduation?"
"Yes." Nan Zhubin began the small talk, "But I guess... I’ve worked for two years."
The other girls, shy about speaking up, perked up their ears.
"Oh, no wonder you seem so mature in your temperament." The familiar senior laughed, "Why did you come in your freshman year? Don’t you have classes?"
"My professor asked me to come, granted me leave." Nan Zhubin replied truthfully.
"Oh, I see." The familiar senior said, "Maybe your professor has other plans for you, that’s how it is with graduates..."
The words were suddenly interrupted.
His attention was suddenly drawn by something.
At eight o’clock in the morning, the outpatient building had sparse foot traffic, making everyone in sight stand out.
Not far off, a short-haired girl was getting out of a car, revealing a long, fair leg clad in knee socks.
It was late summer, still hot, and even the hospital saw short skirts and stockings. This girl went a step further, wearing a sailor outfit, drawing eyes with her lively, youthful temperament.
Nan Zhubin glanced at the girl, then at the familiar senior.
Following the direction of the senior’s gaze, Nan Zhubin guessed his attention was fixated on the patch of bare thigh between the short skirt hem and long knee socks.
Was this called the "absolute territory"?
"Senior?" Nan Zhubin waved a hand.
"Ah? Oh..." The other came back to reality, but his eyes still strayed in that direction from time to time.
The girl walked closer, and you could start hearing the sound of her leather boots on the ground, each step felt like a thump on the heart of the familiar senior.
Though speaking with Nan Zhubin, his body unconsciously leaned towards the direction of the sailor outfit girl, subtly using Nan Zhubin’s body as a cover.
But suddenly—
The familiar senior’s expression froze.
Because the girl came too close.
Close enough for the details of her legs to become clear.
The exposed thighs were covered with dense scratch marks. A quick count showed nearly ten on each side.
Some were old, turned into dark lines; some were new, carrying light scabs; a few seemed to have formed in the last few days, with skin around slightly red and swollen, as if something was about to erupt.
These scratches were scattered, densely packed, like some alternative striped socks.
"Senior?" Nan Zhubin called again.
The familiar senior’s gaze recoiled as if electrified.
