Chapter 1001 - 773: The Unexpected Visitors (Part 2)
Soon, they saw six men in dark suits step through the door.
The men were spaced apart, some widely and some narrowly, seemingly not a part of the same group, yet all engaging in quiet conversation with appropriate social smiles.
However, the moment they entered the conference room, their expressions uniformly turned stern.
A director who had previously appeared in Boss Wang’s office was guiding these six men but was squeezed aside by Boss Wang with a look.
Boss Wang leaned forward slightly, shook hands with each of the newly arrived men in turn, and whispered something, causing their faces to regain their socially appropriate smiles.
Subsequently, Boss Wang stepped aside and gestured for them to sit at the front row of the conference table.
"Oh..." Mo Kai, beside Nan Zhubin, suddenly spoke up, "The seating arrangement..."
There’s a slight issue.
Nan Zhubin had no memory of these six men; judging from the employees’ reactions onsite, the six men were clearly not part of the company’s leadership or shareholders.
Yet, the oldest-looking man among them just sat down and actually shared the central position with Boss Wang instead of letting Boss Wang sit directly in the center.
"Interesting." Chonghui spoke up as well, "From Boss Wang’s body language earlier, although he’s maintaining his composure, he’s overly polite, even showing signs of ’defense’."
"Defense" is an instinctive human reaction when faced with threats.
"Will it affect us?" Mo Kai asked.

After settling the newly arrived men, Boss Wang displayed a relieved expression, as if all preparations were finally complete, his cheeks slightly relaxed.
But in just a second, his face was again masked with a stiff smile as he turned to the stage.

"Hello—hello, hello."
Boss Wang’s voice echoed through the amplifier.
The start of the guidance conference abruptly followed after this small accident.
"Dear colleagues, dear brothers and sisters of the company. Good morning everyone."
Though the voice came on suddenly, the employees in the conference room had developed almost instinctual reactions. Whatever their previous reactions, they quickly pulled themselves together.
Members of the EAP Project Team also ceased their discussion, exchanged glances briefly, and refocused their attention on the upcoming psychological guidance process, starting their preparations.
Boss Wang’s voice filled the room:
"Many thanks to everyone for finding time out of your busy schedules to attend our guidance conference..."
Mo Kai couldn’t help but whisper to Nan Zhubin, "Is it appropriate for him to say this to his own employees?"
Nan Zhubin didn’t answer, but Chonghui laughed softly beside, "I feel like it’s more meant for those people in the front row."
Mo Kai softly exclaimed, "Well... that still doesn’t feel right. Those in the first row appear to be some prominent outsiders, right? Regardless of why they are attending this conference, shouldn’t there be an introduction for them first?"
As per regular conference procedures, introducing attending leaders would certainly occur, allowing them to receive applause and respect.
"This conference doesn’t have a host either, and Boss Wang personally kicked it off... Could he have forgotten?"
Boss Wang isn’t a professional host, it’s possible he forgot this segment; yet considering Boss Wang’s experience attending numerous meetings and his level of attention towards these men, it seems unlikely he forgot the introductions.
Even the employees at this moment occasionally cast curious glances at the unfamiliar men in the first row.
But before they could think much more, Boss Wang on stage made a surprising announcement.
"Firstly, I need to solemnly apologize to everyone."
They watched as Boss Wang bowed, catching everyone’s attention.
"You all know—the company is currently in a critical development phase, with various tasks advancing rapidly."
"The entire leadership, including myself, has been occupied with connecting various aspects, perfecting internal management, and coordinating inter-departmental liaisons."
"As a result, though the business has thrived, we’ve neglected everyone’s psychological state. This oversight is mine, as well as my responsibility, and here, I extend my sincerest apologies to each hardworking colleague."
At this point, everyone, whether sincerely or just for appearance, couldn’t help but applaud.
Clap clap clap—
As the applause gradually subsided, Boss Wang paused briefly.
He adopted a stern expression, "Such oversight is unacceptable."
"Since the establishment of Tongping Software, we have consistently prioritized the growth and welfare of every colleague—every brother and sister, never ignoring everyone’s contributions and dedication, regardless of the developmental phase."
Boss Wang used intonation changes to control his speaking pace.
"During this period, everyone, day and night, devoted themselves wholly, quietly contributing to the stable development of the company, bearing immense work pressure, and facing—" Boss Wang gestured expansively, "—anxiety brought by various uncertainties."
He retracted his gesturing hand, pressing it to his chest, "I’ve seen it, remembered it."
"From Tongping Software’s inception, I, Old Wang, have consistently upheld one point—employees are the company’s most valuable asset."
"Without everyone’s concerted efforts, the company wouldn’t have the foundation of development it has today."
"The company has always endeavored to create a more stable, more comfortable work environment for everyone, and has continually emphasized every colleague’s physical and mental well-being."
"Therefore, we specially spent heavily to hire a professional team led by a psychology professor from Beidu Normal University, hoping to truly assist everyone, to relieve psychological pressure and release negative emotions, so everyone can move forward lightly, to overcome challenges alongside the company."
At this point, Boss Wang again displayed his stiff smile while pointing towards Nan Zhubin.
The gaze within the conference room—including those of the people in the first row—instantly shifted to Nan Zhubin.
Nan Zhubin responded with a graceful smile.
"Over the past month or so, everyone’s already experienced the assistance from our professional team. And today, the same expert teachers will again deliver lectures for us."
Boss Wang’s tone carried expectation: "Prior to the conference, I’ve earnestly requested our team of expert teachers to give their full effort in helping everyone alleviate trauma, release emotions, adjust mindset."
"I know everyone harbors many feelings, and today’s conference provides an opportunity for release."
"I hope everyone actively cooperates with the expert teachers’ work."
"Speak candidly about heartfelt words; articulate demands transparently. The company consistently opens its arms, willing to listen to everyone’s voices and will strive utmostly to address rational demands, without failing your trust and dedication."
"And before the expert teachers take the stage, as the company’s head, I assure everyone—once the company overcomes this crucial phase and stabilizes its scale, everyone’s salary and benefits will tangibly improve, and work will become more stable."
"The company and everyone are one, we are a big family. Only by working together can we reach better days together."
"I firmly believe, as long as our hearts align, our strengths unify, jointly collaborating to overcome obstacles, nothing is insurmountable; the future is bound to get increasingly better and will not let down the contributions and dedication of any colleague."
Once Boss Wang finished, he swiftly glanced at the formally dressed men sitting at the front row.
Then quickly retrieved his gaze, looking towards Nan Zhubin, deliberately raising his tone: "Having said so much—now, let’s welcome our psychology expert teacher to the stage to deliver the lecture."
"A round of applause, please!"
Scattered applause followed Boss Wang’s words.
