Chapter 1037 - 791: Leg
The issue of treatment that Bai Qinghua was worried about might be a big burden for other people.
But for Nan Zhubin, it was something he could consider.
On one side were massive numbers of counseling sessions and an unrealistic counseling fee, and on the other side was...
Eh? What was on the other side again?
"I’ll go," Nan Zhubin said.
Bai Qinghua nodded as if this were entirely expected. He knew his disciple’s preferences very well.
This conversation was really just to explain the situation out of respect for his student’s wishes, to go through the motions.
"Alright then. I’ll handle the specific handover with them. You’ll probably have to be on post this week, join the group together with the interns from second- and third-year grad cohorts."
Nan Zhubin was a bit surprised. "That fast?"
"They’re really short on people," Bai Qinghua sighed.

In early September in Beidu, the sky got light early.
Students with backpacks or shoulder bags spilled out of the dorm area in twos and threes, either walking, riding bicycles, or, for the flashier ones, motorcycles, hurrying toward their classrooms.
But for the graduate students at the Psychology College, this week was still leisurely. Since there were no classes, most of the time was taken up by various lectures and salons, so the first-year grad students could totally sleep until they woke up naturally, and use their time after getting up to wander around the campus and its surroundings and socialize.
The first small professional meeting of the semester was arranged in a small classroom on the third floor of the Psychology College.
People came in one after another until more than half the seats were taken.
Beidu Normal University had a strong faculty and took in many graduate students for its majors; just one class could fill up most of a classroom.
Sitting in the front row by the window were a few girls, their heads lowered as they chattered softly about something, occasionally looking up to scan the other classmates in the room.
Especially the few rare boys in a psychology major class at a normal university.
"Have you heard?" A girl wearing round-framed glasses lowered her voice, but her eyes were bright. "There’s a super amazing guy in our class this year."
In every little social circle, there’s always that newsfeed type who keeps constant tabs on all kinds of school information.
"What guy?" The girl with a low ponytail next to her leaned in at those words.
"His entrance exam score is super high, first in the major," the round-glasses girl said. Just this bit of news wasn’t actually that shocking.
After all, anyone who could get into Beidu Normal University was already a top-tier exam demon from across the country.
Being first in the unified exams within your class might be worth a few comments, but it definitely wasn’t awe-inspiring.
But the round-glasses girl went on to add, "Not just first in our cohort—he’s first in the history of the program. Like, if you pull the data from previous years and compare, he’s still the highest one."
"I heard he lost less than ten points on his major courses, and his total score is over 470!"
Top students don’t get shocked by scores. But if a score is insanely high, top students don’t just get shocked anymore.
The girls around her all widened their eyes at the same time. "For real?"
"Why would I lie to you?!" The round-glasses girl sounded a bit offended.
"No, it’s just... over 470... Did he treat the grad entrance exam like the college entrance exam?"
"And that’s not all." The round-glasses girl’s face flushed right after. "This history-first... is supposedly super handsome!"
"My roommate got in by recommendation, and during registration she was helping out with the student affairs office. When that history-first guy came, she saw him. She said..."
At this point, the round-glasses girl suddenly seemed short of breath and paused.
The circle of girls around her all unconsciously leaned forward.
"She said he’s that kind of celebrity-level handsome! The kind who could get into an arts college on his face alone!"
They clearly hadn’t even seen him in person yet, but the little group was already letting out barely-contained squeals.
But right after, the low-ponytail girl instinctively glanced around the classroom.
There were seven or eight boys in the room—some with their heads down playing on their phones, some flipping through the enrollment handbook, some chatting with the person next to them.
As for their looks... one or two were on the delicate side, but they were still quite a distance from what the round-glasses girl had described.
"I don’t see him," the low ponytail said. "Has that guy you’re talking about even shown up?"
The round-framed glasses girl also looked around. "Looks like... he’s not here yet?"
"What about your roommate? Get her over here to gossip with us!"
"My roommate’s not in our major," the round-glasses girl said regretfully.
"Wait, I think there are people from our own undergrad in our class too," the round-glasses girl added. The semester hadn’t been going on for long, but she’d been very socially active.
Scanning the room, the round-glasses girl quickly spotted her target.
"Hey, Bag!"
The grad student group was very diverse. There were fresh undergrads rolling straight into grad school, there were people who’d worked for a while and were coming back for a second or third shot, and there were even people in their thirties who simply wanted to broaden their lives.
The way everyone dressed was equally varied, especially among the girls. Some just wore shirts and shorts, some wore camisole mini dresses, and those with more of a flair would pull out JK uniforms, qipaos, and so on.
The "Little Bag" the round-glasses girl called out to was sitting not far from them, wearing a black bodycon dress that hugged her curves, her hair permed into big waves draped over her shoulders. Even in such a diverse environment, her look was uniquely eye-catching.
"Bag, this year, isn’t there someone called... Nan, Nan Zhubin!" The round-glasses girl worked hard to recall more details. "I heard he joined a lab group before summer break and showed up in our college building several times. Have you ever run into him?"
