Chapter 89: Seduction Failed

Jian Yu’s wrist was distinctly damp.

She felt it. Not viscous. It wasn’t slime.

"Do you keep water in your Space Button?"

Water dripped from Xi Yu’s long, pale fingers, tracing a wet path across the back of Jian Yu’s hand.

’When did he wash his hands?’

She froze, her eyes filled with confusion.

"Baby, you’re so cute." Xi Yu couldn’t contain his affection.

His eyes were infatuated as he continued to hold her wrist, rubbing her hand against his abs.

"The Yang Zhang can store water, and the mucus has a cleaning effect. Baby is a neat freak. I remember. I didn’t forget."

Tentacles wrapped around her waist and bound her legs together, while one of her hands was pulled into the air.

Jian Yu cried out as her body stumbled, pitching toward the ground.

Xi Yu reached out and caught her in his arms.

The tentacles tightened.

Jian Yu stepped on his feet, her eyelashes trembling as she looked up.

Their bodies were pressed tightly together.

Xi Yu lowered his head and kissed her wide, round eyes. "Good girl, Baby."

He lifted her hand higher.

Jian Yu was forced onto her tiptoes, and she closed her eyes.

She blinked. A breeze blew past, making her eyelids feel cool.

The position was exhausting; she could barely stand.

Jian Yu protested in a small voice, "Let go first. This is uncomfortable."

The seduction failed.

Xi Yu’s face fell.

He was displeased with her reaction. "Are you this half-hearted when you touch Pei Yin?"

His innocent, tea-brown eyes turned lifeless.

He gripped Jian Yu’s wrist, pressing it tightly against his chest.

"Touch me again. C’mon, Baby, touch me."

His movements were guiding, leading Jian Yu’s curled fingers to touch his abs and pecs, bit by bit.

The muscles weren’t huge, but they were well-defined. His pecs were even a little soft.

They felt good to the touch. A visual feast.

Jian Yu’s fingers twitched, and using the force he was applying, she tentatively started to explore upward.

She had a thing for fair skin, and conveniently, none of the F7 guys were dark.

She had a pile of little quirks, and her appreciation for handsome men was number one.

"Feel good?" Xi Yu bent down, pinching Jian Yu’s chin, his eyes sparkling as he gazed at her.

The more excited she got, the colder and more taut her expression became. Jian Yu remained expressionless.

She secretly clenched her fists, suppressing the crazy urge for the corners of her mouth to curl up.

Xi Yu couldn’t believe he was this uncharismatic.

He consoled himself, ’It’s not that Baby isn’t reacting, it’s that I just can’t see it.’

"Baby’s too short. I couldn’t see your happy expression just now."

He noisily kissed her cheek, then gave it a gentle bite.

His voice was muffled, as if he were reminding himself, yet also a little reluctant.

"Can’t kiss her mouth. Want to kiss her mouth. Can’t. Want to."

Xi Yu’s eyes turned gloomy.

The last word was filled with soaring resentment: "Frustrating."

He buried his head in her neck, layering it with several hickeys.

Moonlight streamed in, the cool light washing over his face, making his actions look just like a Vampire feeding.

"Ngh." Jian Yu was stunned by his schizophrenic-like behavior and didn’t dare provoke him.

She pressed her lips together, only now realizing just how many sensitive spots she had on her body.

Her raised arm was starting to ache. She was tired, unable to lower herself from her tiptoes.

Jian Yu turned her head away, dodging him. "Xi Yu."

Xi Yu thought she had seen Ling Yanzhi.

Without looking up, he said in a cool, somewhat dazed voice...

"Good friends. All belong to Baby. We all love Baby."

He added, "I love Baby the most, and Baby loves me the most too."

Jian Yu snapped out of it and turned her head.

Tears welled in her eyes, blurring her vision.

In her field of view, Ling Yanzhi’s figure nearly split into a double image.

His expression was unreadable. All she could see was him leaning against a sculpted pillar, left hand in his pocket, right hand casually spinning a chief’s badge.

Her eyelashes trembled, her swollen lips pressed tight, as Jian Yu struggled to keep her big eyes open.

’This is killing me.’

’It’s not comfortable at all.’

’Xi Yu has no idea how to be gentle with a woman.’

’Time for a switch.’

Jian Yu raised her head, forcing tears to the tips of her eyelashes.

Her gaze was wet, her tear-filled eyes looking hazily in Ling Yanzhi’s direction.

She looked at him, then back at her own hand.

Her face turned bright red from the strain.

"Poor Baby." Ling Yanzhi’s lazy posture changed.

"Isn’t your arm sore, holding it up so high, Baby?"

He lifted his eyelids, his gaze light and airy.

He made no move, but his words sounded more like a hint for Xi Yu to tone it down.

The tentacle loosened, and her arm dropped.

Her wrist was caught by Xi Yu.

He rubbed it, kissed it, rubbed it again, repeating the sequence several times.

"Baby, let me rub it. You don’t need Yanyan."

Tears spun in Jian Yu’s eyes.

’My foolproof trick... Ling Yanzhi isn’t falling for it anymore.’

’Has the passion faded, or are his bros more important than his girlfriend?’

Jian Yu’s lips moved, her eyes unconsciously showing a hint of grievance.

"Baby, still looking?"

Ling Yanzhi straightened up, raising his right eyebrow. His voice was magnetic and lazy, with a slight upward lilt.

He strode forward with a confident gait, his long legs exuding tension and power.

Droplets of water, deliberately left undried, rolled down the tips of his crimson hair and traced a path across his sharply defined features.

His collar was open, and the droplets slid down his delicate collarbones. His Adam’s apple bobbed, and his pale pink lips curved into a smile.

His hair was damp, the bangs across his forehead messy. The upward tilt of his eyes held a bewitching allure in the steamy air.

A white towel dabbed at his slightly long hair.

He advanced step by step, his voice an enticing lure. "Is this what you were talking about, Baby?"

’What were his lips murmuring about?’ Jian Yu stared at him, transfixed.

Beads of water, slightly red collarbones, moist lips.

’Hmm, one thing’s missing.’

The two were on the same wavelength.

Ling Yanzhi, deep in thought, touched the corner of his own lips.

He pushed Xi Yu’s head to the side.

Ling Yanzhi tossed the towel aside.

He cupped the back of Jian Yu’s head, using a bit of force to tilt her chin up.

He lowered his head for a shallow kiss, grinding slowly, lips pressed against hers as their breathing grew heavy.

Jian Yu swallowed, her expression dazed.

She feigned a retreat, her eyes clear and timid.

In the midst of their warm breaths, control was gradually lost.

A whimper escaped her throat. Jian Yu’s body went limp, collapsing into Xi Yu’s arms.

She couldn’t see Xi Yu’s eyes.

Her pupils reflected nothing but the possessiveness swirling in Ling Yanzhi’s gaze, a look that threatened to drown a person.

A savage, out-of-control streak was mixed in with the madness.

The Red Snake slithered onto his shoulder, hissing, "[Yanyan, Lin Yu is about to come in.]"

A contented sigh escaped his throat. Ling Yanzhi glanced down at his low-collared shirt.

The Red Snake slithered away and returned carrying a cool, black trench coat in its coils.

He deftly slipped on the coat and opened the access permissions.

The moment he straightened his back, the hem of the trench coat flared out slightly, following the arc of his turning arm.

Jian Yu squinted, resting her head languidly on Xi Yu’s shoulder.

’So handsome.’

During all this, she noticed that Xi Yu and Ling Yanzhi didn’t exchange a single look.

But the tentacles seemed to receive a signal, retracting quickly back into his body.

Xi Yu, as if sensing someone was coming, wrapped his arms around her waist and legs and lifted her up horizontally.

He was back to normal.

There was no rhyme or reason to his episodes.

Jian Yu gave a lazy yawn.

Her eyelids drooped. She took out a book to dig into.

’If you don’t pay attention in class, you have to make up for it after.’

Fortunately, Professor Lin’s class was all theoretical knowledge.

And so, the scene that greeted Lin Yu when he walked in was Jian Yu nestled obediently in Xi Yu’s arms, reading a book.

Under the light, her fingers, as they turned the pages, glowed with a pale, lustrous sheen.

Her profile was cool and tranquil—a top student and a top beauty.

Jian Yu looked up, her eyelids lifting lazily. "Good evening, Senior Lin Yu."

Her greetings were always very standard: "Good morning," "Good evening," "Good afternoon," "Have you eaten?" "Want to eat together?"

That was it.

Lin Yu was used to it. He smiled and nodded. "Good evening, Jian."
