Chapter 79: 2 Love Letters from a Pervert
Yin Jiu was so excited when it got back that it spent the whole day running wild and howling with glee.
But the next day, its world came crashing down.
Pei Yin had gotten a taste, too.
Yin Jiu was indignant. ’Why is he holding our baby?’
This time, Sheng Yue didn’t correct its pet name for Jian Yu.
He stood silently on the rooftop of the auditorium, his gaze following the two people below.
He knew Xi Yu and Ling Yanzhi had to transport a second batch of Alien Beasts and couldn’t come to see Jian Yu off.
He had thought it would be Shen Gu and Lin Yu today, and that he would see them maintaining their distance, politely escorting her to her classroom.
But he never expected to stumble upon such a searing sight.
Yin Jiu was still immersed in the revelry of the previous night.
It was perched on Sheng Yue’s shoulder. ’Baby’s dressed so cute today. Pink really suits her. She looks so soft and smells so sweet, and her bed smells sweet, too.’
Sheng Yue’s gaze pierced through the layers of leaves, landing involuntarily on Jian Yu.
Chains jingled at her wrists, neck, and ankles, and from an ornament on her dress.
All these places were tainted with Pei Yin’s presence.
The bracelet, the choker, and the matching accessory on her dress—it was obvious they were Pei Yin’s handiwork.
Yin Jiu hadn’t forgotten Pei Yin’s previous declaration. ’How can anyone be so shameless!’
It whimpered and banged its head in frustration.
Too slow again.
’Who knows what happened last night.’
’Master, you’re definitely too thin-skinned. You’re not as slick with your words as he is, and you’re not nearly as shameless.’
Yin Jiu urged him on again.
’Baby is obviously a good girl. She doesn’t know how to refuse; she’s too embarrassed to. Why don’t we make a move too? She can’t refuse one person, or two, or three, so we have a great chance of becoming the fourth!’
The front of his white uniform was dented from Yin Jiu’s head-butting. Sheng Yue raised a hand and pressed down on its round head.
He watched quietly as Jian Yu hugged Pei Yin’s neck, sitting on his arm with a docile, dazed expression.
He couldn’t tell what they said to each other, but Jian Yu averted her gaze and lowered her head.
Her arms were wrapped so tightly around him that she could only pull back a tiny distance.
Yin Jiu couldn’t help but chime in, ’Baby looks so pitiful.’
It chattered on. ’They’re just bullying her and throwing their weight around, not giving baby any choice at all. If I were baby, I would definitely choose only Master.’
Sheng Yue lowered his gaze, his fists clenching tight.
A scene he kept replaying surfaced in his mind once more.
The image of Jian Yu’s delicate, crimson-flushed face from last night flashed before his eyes.
He remembered her dazed, entranced expression, the brokenness and vulnerability in her whimpers, her long lashes wet and clumped together, and the way her slender, soft waist trembled beneath his palm.
Even the faint blush spreading from the corners of her eyes was like cherry wine, her orchid-like scent tinged with its aroma, scalding his fingertips.
Yin Jiu exclaimed, ’Baby’s looking over here!’
Yin Jiu wanted to say they had a telepathic connection, but its good-for-nothing master used Instant Teleportation to hide behind a nearby wall.
Jian Yu looked up.
She glanced back toward the auditorium, puzzled.
Her body had undergone many changes ever since she gained control of the Hidden Beast Aura.
Her hearing and sight had improved, and she could now quickly sense when she was being watched from the shadows.
"No one. Just a couple of white crows passing by." Pei Yin knew Sheng Yue had been standing right there a moment ago.
As long as they didn’t deliberately conceal their auras, they could basically sense each other the moment they were nearby.
’Did he forget to conceal himself, or did Sheng Yue let me sense him on purpose?’
Pei Yin didn’t want to dwell on the question.
You never know how good it is until you get a taste. He regretted ever pretending otherwise.
He hoped Sheng Yue would stick to his principles, though. He’d even be happy to cheer him on.
He gave Jian Yu’s hand a little squeeze, then held it and began to stroke it.
Pei Yin changed the subject. "Didn’t you just have Professor Lin’s class yesterday?"
Jian Yu snapped out of her daze, her fingers curling slightly. "The schedule changed. Professor Lin has something to do next week."
She avoided his gaze.
Pei Yin’s beauty was almost aggressive. When his teal eyes fixed on someone, he was like a predator sizing up its prey—his gaze gleaming and full of predatory intensity.
Pei Yin bounced her lightly in his arms, listening to the chime of the bells she wore.
He was reluctant to let her go. "I’ll come pick you up after class."
"Okay." Jian Yu instinctively held on to him tighter until her feet were planted firmly on the ground.
The adornments were a bit heavy, and she stumbled, grabbing onto Pei Yin’s arm to steady herself.
Xi Yu had picked out her clothes and shoes, while the jewelry was what Pei Yin had taken off himself and put on her.
Neither of them seemed to understand the concept of boundaries. They had managed the entire process, stopping just short of stripping her bare.
Ling Yanzhi, who was in a bad mood, had listlessly taken her hair and started weaving it into a new braid he had learned.
Yang Zhang had tried to copy him, but halfway through, its tentacles began to twitch uncontrollably as if shocked.
Jian Yu felt disheartened.
’It seems adding one more person wouldn’t disrupt their rhythm at all.’
They were so rational, so composed, that it made her want to shatter their calm.
Jian Yu didn’t like dealing with a lot of strangers, but in her mind, love was supposed to be a passionate, earth-shattering affair, not something quiet and mundane.
"What, are you disappointed that it wasn’t Ling Yanzhi?" Pei Yin wasn’t one to take things lying down.
He grabbed her, and in a blur of afterimages, they were at a corner.
Her back was slammed against the wall, her hands forced up above her head.
Jian Yu’s listless spirit perked up, and she put on a show of feeble resistance.
"If you reject me, then you have to reject them tonight, too."
Jian Yu’s gaze froze. "Can I refuse?"
"No." Pei Yin lowered his head, looking directly into her eyes.
"Since you can’t refuse them, you can only accept me. Don’t play favorites, okay? Baby."
The man’s teal eyes were stunning. The outer corners of his eyes naturally drooped, forming a gentle curve.
When the tips of his eyes lifted as he looked at someone, they unconsciously radiated a captivating, sexual tension.
"Whatever Baby wants, I’ll give it to you. I promise I’ll cherish you more than they do."
A flicker of emotion crossed Jian Yu’s eyes.
She hesitated, wondering if she should add some fuel to the fire.
His words weren’t as rough as his actions. He didn’t lose control like Xi Yu, nor did he possess the casual cruelty Ling Yanzhi sometimes displayed.
After a few seconds of thought, a series of cold words escaped Jian Yu’s pretty lips.
"In that case, can you help me pursue Chairman Sheng?"
Pei Yin leaned in, a faint minty scent wafting over her.
He suddenly let out a laugh, a low chuckle that rumbled deep in his throat and sent a chill down her spine.
"If you don’t want to end up as a specimen, I suggest you pursue me first, Baby."
Jian Yu’s eyes widened, a blush tinting her gaze as a watery mist gathered on her lashes.
"Mmph..."
Their warm breaths intertwined, the touch of their mouths shockingly hot.
In the lingering kiss, the red mole on the tip of his nose gradually blurred in her vision.
A hand brushed the side of her neck. Her consciousness dissolved into a hazy cloud, and her body went limp, sliding down powerlessly.
Her flushed cheeks were puffed out and her long, thick lashes trembled, stirring a sense of tenderness in Pei Yin.
He caught her by the waist, pulling her halfway into his embrace. His heart hammered in his chest like a drum.
"I could just kiss you to death," he murmured. "You never say a single thing I want to hear."
Pei Yin gently pinched her cheek. "Don’t run off after class. You hear me?"
"I... I heard you," Jian Yu panted. She blinked, and a tear rolled down her cheek.
Pei Yin raised his hand, but after a moment’s thought, he lowered his head and kissed the tear away instead.
’Salty.’
"Sheng Yue likes talkative types. Like Yin Jiu."
Pei Yin looked her up and down.
"Only I would put up with a quiet little blockhead like you."
Jian Yu resisted the urge to roll her eyes.
’I don’t believe you,’ she thought.
She entered the classroom just as the bell rang.
She hadn’t been sitting for long when a second love letter arrived.
Her fingertip hooked the red chain at her chest; before Shen Gu could get a clear look, Jian Yu immediately stored it in her Space Ring.
