Why don't you build a village on top of the world tree

Episode 43: Skyscraper Corridor/North Stop

In the winter, we came to the clouds to free ourselves from the clutter of weather.

The purpose is the construction of the Heavenly Tower Corridor.

Only in winter and the direct sunlight is somewhat soft and does not hinder the work.

The road stretches from Takakus to the south, in the direction of the trunk of the world tree. It was a lot easier to walk because we built roads and material storage last year. It is huge that cliff ascent and descent can also be done on the slopes.

Proceed barely through the berth built last year and join a group of artisans from the city of Kattella on the way.

The foreman, who leads the craftsmen of the city of Kattella, points to the south and reports to me.

"I've even been to the trunk, but there was no place roughed up by demon worms. We'll get right to work on it."

"That's good. It saves me time and helps. We're building a stop this time, so time is running out."

Even when it comes to stops, the scale is completely different from those stops there.

Not only does it need to be a transportation hub on the north side of the world tree, but it also needs to be kept defensive because it is a location with no cities or towns nearby.

It's much bigger than what we designed at the design competition at the stop, hosted by Yoinsley, and it's going to be made about the size of a small village without food production facilities.

Even when attacked by a demonic worm, a caged castle will be possible until reinforcements rush, so to speak, to build something like a fort.

Necessary amenities include stops for boarding coyote cars, stables for resting coyotes, living spaces where devil bug hunters are stationed, and storage spaces for food and arrows. There will also be a minimum need for a guest friendly dining room, etc.

Moreover, it is assumed that the users are aiming for the skyscraper Takakus on the north side of the world tree. Because the number of guests is expected to be quite high, the entire facility was designed to a large extent.

Things will change in the future if the cities of Kattera and other cities on the north cross the bridge to the Yunnan no tier, which can be connected to the Heavenly Tower Corridor, but we will still be ahead of us.

It is like making one village by summer, so there was a risk that the construction period would be insufficient.

We arrive at the site and head to the materials storage area to confirm the building materials that the vendor has carried over a year from last year.

"The Mermies ask me to set up a tent while I check the materials. Katella, the city group needs to see if there's anything wrong with the base of the stop."

Based on the degree of deterioration of the underlying parts prepared within the last year, we will examine the intensity of the annual sun in this place and the resulting ease of deterioration. I don't think it would deviate so much from the results of my regular observations, but I'd like to make sure the last confirmation is more than going into construction from now on.

In addition to the wood of the world tree, the material storage area houses the corners of the blue beetle, which is the Devil's Bug armor and boasts the highest hardness in the current situation. It's a user-friendly blue beetle crust because of its blue gloss and processing difficulty, but I decided to try it out by coming up with a corner instead of reinforcement.

The blue beetle crust is undergoing research on the processing method of steaming with acetic acid devised in Beautellarm, and as a result of endurance testing, it seems that after processing, even wild exposure can be maintained for fifty years, for more than two hundred years if not touching the air by applying wax or trapping it in liquefied yarn, etc., theoretically.

By the way, I had the corners of this blue beetle processed in the city of Cuttera.

By now, Yoinsley, Beauterrum, Aquas and the three skyscrapers should be building big stops as well, and they will be the leading buildings in each region. It's a landmark in the Heavenly Hall Corridor.

In other words, we cannot beat each region technically or culturally.

"Let me show you. I mean the North Side!

Well, I checked the materials, and shall we move on to construction?

I'll call the Mermies, who are resting after setting up the tent, and have them bring out the materials they're going to use today.

In the meantime, the Kattella city group, who had finished checking the foundations, came and gave us a report on the current situation.

There seems to be no contradiction with the regular data. They also make few changes each year, as the no-layer on the cloud is not affected by the weather.

"I hear you do something funny, is that the corner of the blue beetle, that one?

The foreman of the city of Cuttera asks with an interesting look at the blue horn that has been brought out of the material storage area.

What Melmie and the others brought out of the material storage is blue beetle horns and liquefied threads, snowworm hair, beaant crustaceans, and molds.

Cover the corners of the blue beetle in place of reinforcement with a liquefied yarn mixed with the crusted crust of the beaant that gives the hair and strength of the snowworm with long, soundproofing properties of the fibres.

It is resistant to sunlight and thanks to the corners of the blue beetle it combines high rigidity with the elasticity of the liquefied yarn to absorb sound, impact, on top of being able to make an overall uniform and long member. The exterior is close to white gemstone and luxurious, and can be painted.

The only downside is the high value. Especially hard to get snowworm hair.

Most commonly, snowstorms blow in winter on the north side, making it easier to hunt snowworms than elsewhere. The necessary portion of this construction was easily gathered because hunting was carried out throughout the north side through a network of demonic bug hunters built in the former Cyrillic commotion.

For the record, hunting snowworms is only one purpose, and the original purpose may be to collect data when carrying out wide-area dispatches of food and warbug hunters in emergency situations. Find out if the Heavenly Tower Corridor stops can quickly communicate information to respond to a demonic bug attack.

Such poor snowworms, who were then hunted, are quickly transformed into building materials for the stops by being haired. Your death will not be in vain.

"Cuttera, the city set up a pillar within the present."

Copy that.

This stop has a larger number of columns to withstand even when attacked by heavyweight demon bugs. The surroundings are also designed to be surrounded by walls to earn distance to the building itself and to be able to respond with bows and arrows.

Between the walls and the building there is a garden, and we plan to be careful not to feel the narrowness by planting shrubs to prevent us from seeing the walls directly from inside the building.

Well, shall we proceed with the gunning?

The stop was completed by the time winter passed to spring and the spring was halfway through.

The walls are applied to Ishigaki style, which was developed as a changed version of brick-style cosmetic lacquering.

The stone walls deliberately attached to the slope are high, roughly four meters. The slope was daring to be made loose, so that the demon worm could easily rise along the way.

"Good safety check. Shall I shoot you in the face? Shoot me at the same time as the signal."

Instruct the Billows and Devil Bug Hunters called from Takakus with their flags and have the arrows unleashed simultaneously.

The arrows unleashed by the exceptionally skilled Devil Bug Hunters jumped out of the narrow space opened at the bottom of the Ishigaki Wall and flew far.

If this were the case, the devious demon worm attempted to climb the stone walls would expose its soft abdomen to the demon worm hunter who had refrained behind it and would be safely removed.

The inclination of the stone walls is tightened at once from the middle, with the top almost perpendicular and painted separately with white lacquer.

Because the paint is divided into the same colors even from the back of the stone walls, even if you don't know the whole picture of the demon bug outside, it's a mechanism to see how far up it is coming.

"Feels like I tried to aim, how was it?

I tried shooting it after the construction, but I want to hear the opinions of others.

Upon being questioned, Billows nodded satisfactorily.

"Vision is secured, and there's no problem. At first, I thought the trees planted in the garden would get in the way, but unless they were taller than that, they wouldn't seem to block sight."

"Even at first sight, no one shot through the wall, and you can keep it running."

In some cases, I was just thinking about training, and I appreciate the ink.

Between the walls and the building there is a garden, made to entertain the eyes of the guests at the coyote stop.

The shrubs planted in this garden entertained the eyes of the guests and made sense to conceal the slightly boneless stone wall-style color lacquer at the bottom of the walls in the sight, but another was planting the kind where the leaves emitted fragrances, also with the meaning of deluding the smell of the coyotes.

Coyotes are stinking animals. Incense trees were planted as a precaution because the smell would cage more than a fence around the stop.

Tree height is about a meter low. Normally the height does not hide the narrows opened in the stone walls, which also act as ventilation holes.

Thank the Billows and the Devil Bug Hunters, and I look back at the building.

There is an arcade-shaped stop using the newly developed Blue Beetle angular muscle liquefied yarn. Entering through the entrance opened in the four corners of the stone walls, the coyote cars enter the stops according to their destination, picking up the guests and leaving. The white influence stone-like pattern found in the blue beetle angular muscle liquefied yarn was elegant, which was luxurious combined with the black painted plug roof. The direct sunlight of the no-layer on the cloud is also blocked by the plug roof, so there is no glare.

I'm headed to the spiral staircase behind the stop.

The sculpture of the sculptures of the sculptures of the sculptures of the sculptures of the sculptures of the sculptures of the sculptures, often using the soft curves for which Mermie was in charge, goes up the spiral staircase to the second floor, which serves as an anti-slip.

The second floor overlooking Ishigaki Wall is a dining room, guestrooms, etc. It is mainly a place used by the user, and only the stops and this second floor are the spaces into which other than those concerned enter.

At this foot, the Demon Bug Hunter has a living space on the ground floor, where he can jump out to the stop at any time to launch an attack on the Demon Bug over the Ishigaki Wall, as well as intercept the Demon Bug outside on the third floor where he can come and go directly from the ground floor.

The walls made of blue beetle angular muscle liquefaction yarn are very thick and sturdy, and even under the thrust of demonic worms, they are not frightened. In addition, columns of world wood with excellent strength are sometimes placed in a multi-eyed position, which makes them more resistant to shocks from all directions.

However, with more columns, the space becomes narrow for that matter as well. It is self-evident that there is a difference in the available area between four and five columns of uniform thickness in the same area.

Even if we are trying to save space in spiral staircases and so on, this problem really surfaces.

The upstairs space I looked over also still had prominent columns.

Separating all of this from the lack of design options, I reversed the fact that it is a traffic (c) node (b) on the north side of the world tree, and tailored it to a message board that sticks out local information from all over the north side.

Among the craftsmen of the Tacax and the city of Kattella, the artisans, who are recognized for their sculptural arms, line up decorated columns with bulletin boards. The idea is for customers to get information on where they're going.

Not a single bulletin board has been used yet. I can't help but act as a stop.
