Chapter 1442: Could He Have Heart Disease?
After speaking, he hung up the phone.
Knox Simmons was stunned for a few seconds, a bitter smile forming at the corner of his lips.
No matter how composed and calm Scarlett Yates tried to sound, what did it matter?

He still heard a trace of tension and worry in her voice.
Even though she left home in a fit of pique, she still cared about Matthew Saxon. As soon as she heard something happened to him, she immediately got nervous.
--
Saint Mercy Hospital.
Scarlett Yates hurriedly made her way over. When she reached the place she had agreed to meet with Knox Simmons, she saw him sitting on a bench outside the hospital corridor, propping his chin with one hand and rubbing his forehead with the other, occasionally craning his neck to look at the room across the way.
Even though the roomâs door was closed and he couldnât actually see anything, he kept looking up intently.
No one knew what he was thinking, but he seemed deeply absorbed until Scarlett Yates walked up to him and called his name, which made him suddenly turn his head as if startled.
"Scarlett, youâre here." Knox Simmons stared blankly at her for a few seconds before standing up.
"How is he?"
Scarlett Yates also glanced at the tightly closed door. Her tone sounded very calm, no different from usual.
But no matter how well she hid it, a hint of worry still seeped through.
Knox Simmons shook his head: "We still donât know yet. He just got brought in, and the doctors are still examining him."
Earlier, he hadnât said much over the phone and didnât specify Matthew Saxonâs condition. Scarlett Yates felt a rush of urgency and didnât ask further questions, coming over in a hurry.
Now that they were face to face and Scarlett Yates couldnât see Matthew, she asked Knox about the specifics of what happened.
If things were really as Knox Simmons described, Scarlett Yates found it a bit hard to believe.
Matthew Saxon wasnât someone weak and frail, so how could Knox send him to the hospital with just one punch?
Seeing her inquire about Matthew Saxonâs condition as soon as she arrived, as if she hadnât noticed the injuries on his face, Knox Simmons felt even more disappointed and dejected.
He had a feeling that now that Scarlett Yates was here, she probably wouldnât leave.
"I really just punched him once, and then he fell to the ground." Knox Simmons recounted the entire sequence of events for her, seeing Scarlett Yates half-believe him, he emphasized again, "Scarlett, Iâm not lying to you. Thatâs exactly how it happened. I havenât told a single lie."
Scarlett Yates was silent for a while, frowned, her eyes still showing a hint of surprise: "Where did you punch him?"
Knox Simmons also furrowed his brows, a surge of irritation rising in him, feeling that the whole thing just didnât make sense: "In usual fights, itâs like this too and nothing ever happened. My chest took several of his punches, and Iâm fine, arenât I?"
"Could it be..." His frown deepened as he thought for a moment, a thought suddenly flashing through his mind, "Scarlett, do you think Matthew might have a heart condition?"
"No way." Scarlett Yates immediately dismissed the idea, "If he had a heart condition, would he dare to fight with you? Besides, you both have known each other since childhood. Does he look like someone with a heart condition?"
Knox Simmons actually took a moment to think back seriously, then shook his head, also finding his idea quite ridiculous.
A physique like Matthew Saxonâs, it was as if he were made of steel. How could he possibly have a heart condition?
