Chapter 400 - 177: Doorman of the Undead World

And it was far clearer than the last time he’d converted a Liaison Officer. He could even perceive the Skeleton Giant Beast’s current movements.

It seemed to have entered a place full of liquid, swimming up, down, left, and right. Its surrounding tentacles were constantly prodding about, bringing things back to stuff into its mouth...

’Is it eating?’

’No, is it devouring other Undead Creatures?’

Wei’en let out a soft chuckle. "...I didn’t expect it to be so adaptable."

It seemed the Skeleton Giant Beast had already grasped the law of survival in the Undead World, eagerly starting to increase its strength the moment it arrived.

He wondered if he’d be able to summon this Skeleton Giant Beast in the future with an Undead Summoning Spell. If he could... he’d be rich!

Wei’en wiped the non-existent drool from the corner of his mouth. As he watched the sea gradually calm, the voice he’d heard just now echoed in his mind again.

’A Doorman?’

’It seems some people from the Ghost Soul School know of his existence?’

"Looks like once I have some free time, I’ll have to reconsider the Research Center’s invitation."

From the information he had gathered so far, the Ghost Soul School, as well as the other four Wizard Schools, were more powerful than most other factions.

From what he knew, there were several legendary-rank Wizards within the Ghost Soul School alone, not to mention the other Great Mages.

Then, lost in thought, Wei’en took out the Golden Key and returned to the Clown Theater.

In any case, he had gained a lot this time.

Clelia and the others were still sitting at the dining table. When they saw him appear, their faces lit up. "What’s it like outside?"

"It’s all clear now," Wei’en said, grabbing another Blue Marlin and stuffing it into his mouth. He looked at Ronan. "Prepare to set sail."

They had to get away from here before the other ships arrived.

"Aye, Captain!"

Ronan was so excited he nearly jumped. The Red-haired Captain had turned a terrifying crisis into a victory. What could possibly stop him in the future?

He quickly ran to the nearby resting area and called everyone out.

"Velen, hurry up! Bring everyone out! The Captain has taken care of things outside! We’re setting sail immediately!"

"Taken care of?"

Velen and the others were stunned for a moment, then burst into ecstatic joy.

"Long live the Captain!"

At this moment, no one doubted the Red-haired Captain’s abilities any longer. Even Ronan resolved to cling tightly to the Captain’s coattails from now on.

’The Ronan?’

’To hell with that.’

’From this day on, I’m the Second Officer of the Red Hair!’

Clelia glanced at the pirates, who were in an uproar, and asked softly, "How did you do it?"

The cataclysmic, horrifying scene outside had left a deep impression on her, especially that enormous monster. It wasn’t something just anyone could deal with.

Not even Menor!

Wei’en gave a vague reply, "The Alchemy Array probably had some kind of flaw."

"Oh~"

Clelia gave him a charming look and didn’t press the matter further.

Having been active in the Extraordinary World across various city-states for years, she had seen too many Extraordinaries. She knew full well that no one with Extraordinary Power was ever simple. It was perfectly normal to have a few unknown secrets.

Of course, she was no exception!

Wei’en knew she didn’t believe him. After quickly finishing the Blue Marlin in his hand, he led everyone back to the Ronan.

At the same time, he didn’t forget to use his Deception talent to erase the pirates’ memories.

If it weren’t for the emergency, and the fact that Ronan and his men were proving quite useful, he would never have revealed the existence of the theater.

For the time being, at least, the Clown Theater remained his greatest secret.

"Weigh anchor! Full steam ahead!"

After getting his bearings, Ronan steered the Steamship south.

An hour later, several three-masted sailing ships arrived in the waters where Dakman Island had been.

Everyone stared, wide-eyed, at the sea where only some shattered rock and floating planks remained. They couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

"What... what just happened here..."

"Where’s Dakman Island?"

"Dakman Island is gone?!"

"Who did this?"

Cries of shock and disbelief echoed across the sea. After a long moment, a sailor shouted, "I think I saw a Steamship leaving here just now?"

"Yeah, I saw it too."

"Looked like the Ronan, didn’t it?"

"It was... him?!"

Among these ships that had sailed the seas for years, there was no shortage of well-informed people. They quickly made the connection to the Red-haired Captain who had killed Henrik.

"Quick, spread the word! Say that as the Red-haired Captain of the Ronan was leaving, the entirety of Dakman Island was destroyed."

"The Red-haired Captain is suspected of destroying Dakman Island!"

The news spread like wildfire, as if they had uncovered some earth-shattering secret.

...

...

Meanwhile, fifteen hundred kilometers north of Dakman Island, a white Five-Masted Sailing Ship with gold inlay sailed south.

An old man with graying hair, a powerful build, and a resolute, stern face was on the foredeck, clad in a suit of white and gold armor and practicing basic movements with a Two-Handed Greatsword.

Now chopping, now sweeping, he swung the Two-Handed Greatsword in an impenetrable flurry.

"Asimio, have you confirmed the heretic’s location?"

"Lord Huberto, we’ve confirmed he’s near Dakman Island!"

"Full speed ahead!"

As he finished speaking, Huberto sheathed the Two-Handed Greatsword in the scabbard on his back.

For some reason, as he thought about the wanted Mutated Mage, a strange sense of foreboding washed over him.

’He’s just a Mutated Mage, at the level of a Great Mage at most.’

’How could this be?’

’Or is the great Dawn summoning me to that kingdom?’

’Heh, I’m getting old...’

「Meanwhile, south of Dakman Island.」

"Report!!"

Hearing the shout, Yuan unhesitatingly threw his cards into the deck. He even slyly shuffled them a few times to mix them up and said with a chuckle, "This hand doesn’t count."

"Damn it, you cheated!"

Black Jack, his face covered in paper strips and holding a good hand, glared angrily at Yuan.

"Official business comes first," Yuan said with a shrug.

Seeing his shameless act, Black Jack exasperatedly threw down his cards. He looked at the nervous subordinate and grunted, "You’d better have good news, or else..."

"First Officer, a message just came in! It says the Red-Haired Captain destroyed all of Dakman Island!"

"What?!"
