The black beams and the fist shattered three clones, piercing through the spot where Wei’en had been.

’Hm? Black hair, red pupils...’

A flicker of doubt crossed Henrik’s mind. He felt like he had seen this appearance somewhere before.

’Who was that again?’

Before he could remember, five malicious voices began chanting a strange melody in his ear: "Mens, Di."

"GHYAAAA—"

Henrik’s eyes, rolled back into his head, were filled with bloodlust and frenzied killing intent. "Die! Dark Mirage Cannon!"

Five more vortexes of flesh appeared on his body—his chest and limbs. Along with the one on his head, six terrifying maws spewed six black beams, bombarding the Rune Array’s protective shield and leaving six clean holes.

[Your phantom clone’s Charm Spell has successfully hit Henrik Dimit. Duration: 20 seconds. Evaluation: This Magic... is worthy of Olanier! Special Reward: Survival Points +10, Resilience Level +1, Spirit Level +1.]

With Wei’en’s current Spirit Level as high as 5,500, his phantom clone’s Charm Spell could affect any Extraordinary with a Spirit Level below 20,000.

’Twenty seconds, huh?’

Wei’en noted the prompt. His figure had already materialized on the ship’s figurehead, right next to Hassge First Officer. He glanced toward the crow’s nest.

’Tsk, so the clones aren’t affected by Magic Potions?’

"The captain’s gone mad! Yair, reinforce the runes—" Before he could finish, Hassge First Officer heard the new voice. He jolted, turning his head to look. "You?!"

"Weren’t you looking to kill me? Here I am." A smile tugged at the corner of Wei’en’s mouth, adding a layer of eerie charm to Marco’s handsome face.

"Magic—Yair, disable..."

"Nico, Ruke."

"Mens, Di."

Hassge First Officer’s voice trailed off. His eyes stared blankly at the figurehead as the runes on his mechanical legs lit up. Two searing beams of fire shot out, carving toward the figurehead beneath them.

SCREECH—

"Let’s have you quiet down first. Disabling magic? I can’t have that!"

Wei’en left eight more phantom clones to control Hassge First Officer and flashed into the midst of the pirates, observing their panicked and bewildered state.

"He’s over here!"

"Damn it, he’s a Wizard! Hurry, activate the anti-magic runes! Sever the connection to the Extraordinary elements!"

"Kill him—"

BANG, BANG...

Flintlocks fired and swords flashed. Dozens of pirates, surging with Extraordinary Power, charged toward him.

’Disable the elements?’

Wei’en chuckled. He wasn’t a pure Elemental Mage from the Spiritual Mystery School. He was a Secret Art Mage from the Ghost Soul School, and he wasn’t limited to just Element Magic!

"Jia, Lier, Kings."

Before the runes could activate, Wei’en cast a Spirit shield on himself. He then teleported to the railing on the ship’s side, his eyes reflecting the entire chaotic scene aboard the Storm Hunter.

The eight phantom clones he had left behind began casting Charm Spells on the pirates.

Several Charm Spells struck the pirates who possessed Extraordinary Power, plunging them into an Illusion Realm. With expressions that were savage, mocking, or exhilarated, they began to furiously attack their fellow pirates.

"Die, you damned brat! Kill!"

"Toford, no! It’s me, S—AAAAH—"

"...Damn it, they’ve gone insane!"

"Quick, destroy those phantoms! It’s their magic that’s doing this!"

’Hm?’

Wei’en took in the entire scene on the Storm Hunter: Captain Henrik, lost in a frenzy; Hassge First Officer, using his mechanical limbs to destroy the ship’s bow; the Extraordinary pirates, attacking everyone around them; and the weak and cowardly, wailing in despair as they scattered. Every death that occurred added another splash of crimson to the chaotic tableau.

He couldn’t help but recall his first meeting with Xiaoxi, and the Gonzalez words that severed head had spoken: Apu, Luno, Rexi...

"Chaos, despair, death..."

"GHYAA—I’LL KILL YOU!!"

A colossal, piercing shriek echoed across the cloud-covered sea. Hundreds of columns of water erupted from around the Storm Hunter, their force buffeting the nearby Ronan until it rocked violently.

Beneath the churning waves, countless hazy points of light began to glow. They were a vivid, multicolored swarm, pulsing with madness and bloodlust, as if drawn by the scent of blood from the ship.

"Oh? Awake already?"

Wei’en watched the approaching Henrik, then glanced at the chaos among the pirates. "Then let’s end this..."

As his words faded, his figure reappeared amid the chaotic swarm of pirates. He raised a hand, sweeping it in a wide arc, not targeting anyone in particular, but encompassing them all.

"Ghost!"

The progenitor ghost that had been awaiting his command floated forward. It gazed down at the crowd below and intoned emotionlessly, "Deep, Roko, Mens!"

A Rune Array shimmering with a deathly gray light materialized on the deck. A dark, deep vortex slowly appeared, and from its depths, countless withered arms shot out to grasp the pirates’ ankles. Strange, shrill whispers coalesced into a single phrase in Gonzalez: "Death embraces you!"

"Ble, Franco, Ah Wa!"

Another massive Rune Array formed in the sky above the Storm Hunter. A vortex of gray mist churned the dark clouds, emanating the terrifying, deathly aura of the deceased. A bone-white claw, large as a mountain, emerged from the vortex. Its four fingers slowly descended, their immense power threatening to tear the entire Storm Hunter in two.

CRACK!

The bone claw descended upon the Rune Array’s protective shield. After a delay of less than a second, the shield shattered completely. The claw continued downward with undiminished force, crushing the pirates’ bodies and smashing them flat.

It left four neat craters in the deck before slowly retracting. A voice echoed, "A gift from the king of the World of the Dead. You’re welcome—"
