Wizard: My Skills Can Infinitely Break Through

Chapter 414 - 322: Visitor in the Valley, Overview of the Eastern Territory (Part 2)

"By the time I arrived, the corruption had already been sealed by His Majesty Morning Star."

He averted his gaze. "After the matter was concluded, I didn’t return immediately. Instead, I went to visit an old friend.

"He lives nearby. I was preparing to leave today when I suddenly sensed a strong fluctuation in this direction, so I came to take a look."

Ian understood.

He knew the truth about the eruption in the Burning Canyon better than anyone.

That wasn’t an ordinary outbreak of corruption, but a Level Five Mother attempting to break its seal.

Aidele had already told him about a Morning Star descending to reinforce the seal.

"I see," Ian nodded.

The two found a flat, blue-green rock in the valley and sat facing each other.

Gaga crouched on Ian’s shoulder, its silver eyes studying Lucian with curiosity.

Lucian glanced at it, his eyes brightening slightly.

"A Shadow Night Kite that mutated from a Raven, and it’s already Tier Two? Quite rare."

"His name is Gaga." Ian rubbed the little fellow’s head. "He’s been with me for several years."

Lucian nodded, then suddenly let out a soft laugh.

"What a coincidence. I happen to have something your Summoned Demon needs."

A palm-sized cloth pouch appeared in his hand. Its mouth was slightly open, revealing several dark purple crystals inside.

It was precisely Tier Two Shadow Crystals, a great supplement for Shadow Element Magic Pets.

"I hunted a few Shadow Element Magic Beasts some years ago and saved these up."

Lucian smiled. "I never had a use for them, but today it seems I’ve met their rightful owner."

Gaga’s eyes lit up, its small claws tightening on Ian’s collar.

"Ian! Ian! That! I want it!"

Ian couldn’t help but laugh. He patted its little head and then looked at Lucian.

"Thank you, City Lord. This is quite valuable. What would you like in exchange?"

Lucian waved his hand. "Let’s not talk about an exchange. It’s rare for us to meet like this. Consider it a small gift for my presumptuous visit."

Ian didn’t take his words at face value, and an idea came to him.

’Before my breakthrough, I happened to bring a few Tier Two Purification Potions with me. They’ll be perfect for a trade.’

He took out five Crystal Bottles filled with a pale, silvery liquid.

"Tier Two Purification Potions. They’re remarkably effective against Abyss corruption below Level Three."

Lucian took a bottle, uncorked it, and sniffed. A trace of surprise flashed in his eyes.

"This is... such a dense Purification Power. Did you refine this?"

Ian nodded, not denying it.

Lucian was full of praise. "Your skill in Magic Potion Science is truly admirable."

He said no more, put away the five Potions, and handed over the Shadow Crystals.

"Five for five. A fair trade."

Ian took the pouch. Gaga eagerly stuck its head inside, snatched out a crystal, and began to lick it with relish.

The two exchanged a smile, and the atmosphere became much more harmonious.

"You haven’t been in the Eastern Territory for long, have you?" Lucian asked.

’He chose to break through to Level Three in the Wilderness, so he obviously doesn’t have the support of the Justice Clan. Perhaps I can win him over...’

Ian nodded. "Less than a year."

"Then you probably don’t know much about the Eastern Territory."

Lucian said, "Now that you’ve broken through to Level Three, you’ll be dealing with higher echelons. It’s better to know some things in advance."

He began to explain the political landscape of the Seventeen Cities of the Eastern Border.

"The Seventeen Cities of the Eastern Border are nominally managed jointly by seventeen City Lords, but in reality, they are all controlled by the great clans from behind the scenes."

"Take East City, where you’re based. The City Lord in name is Titus Justice."

"But the entirety of East City and the three surrounding cities are the actual territory of the Justice Clan."

"Among them, Silver Sail City is strategically located and a bit special. It’s the common territory of several great clans. They control more than half of the important trade routes on the outskirts of the Eastern Territory and are immensely wealthy."

"My Stormwind City is backed by the Lucian Clan. While we can’t compare to an old, established clan like Justice, we aren’t weak either."

He listed them one by one, and Ian listened attentively.

"The Seventeen Cities of the Eastern Border are merely the periphery of the Central Continent."

Lucian’s tone shifted. "As you go further inland, there are even more powerful forces.

"For example, in the Silver Moon Highlands, there’s the Silver Moon Council, presided over by a Radiant Moon Wizard. There’s also Silverpine Forest, where a Bright Sun Wizard is said to live in seclusion."

"And at the very core of the Central Continent..." He paused, his tone growing solemn.

"It is said... that there are several Level Seven True Spirit Wizards who have lived since ancient times and have been slumbering ever since.

"They are the pillars of the Wizard World and will not awaken easily."

Ian’s pupils contracted slightly.

A Level Seven True Spirit Wizard. That was a Realm he couldn’t even imagine at his current level.

"That’s still too far off for you and me," Lucian said with a smile.

"What we need to do now is to slowly comprehend the Rules. I broke through to Level Three five hundred years ago, but my understanding of the Rules... is still like trying to see flowers in a fog."

After speaking, Lucian let out a long sigh.

After Level Three, every step forward requires both time and opportunity.

Ian nodded, silently committing this information to memory.

The two chatted on and off for half a day, with Ian doing most of the listening.

"Oh, right," Lucian said suddenly. "Since fate has brought us together today, why don’t we exchange Secret Magic Marks?"

He extended his hand, and a blue flash of lightning appeared in his palm. Within the light, the complex patterns of a Rune were faintly visible.

"This is my Secret Magic Mark. If you come to Stormwind City in the future, you can use this to find me."

"If you ever need help with anything, as long as it’s within my power, I will do my best."

Ian pondered for a moment, and a silver-gray light materialized in his palm.

It was a simplified projection of the Order Divine Body, not revealing its true power, merely serving as an identifying mark.

Lucian accepted the silver-gray light and sensed it carefully for a moment. A peculiar look flashed in his eyes.

"Your Energy... is very special. It has an indescribable Sense of Order, as if... it’s specifically meant to counter something."

Ian just smiled, offering no explanation.

Lucian didn’t press the matter. Every Level Three Wizard had their own secrets.

He put the mark away and stood up.

"It’s getting late, I should be going. You’re welcome to visit Stormwind City when you have the chance."

"I will," Ian said, also rising to his feet.

Just as Lucian was about to leave, he seemed to remember something.

"Hmm... you just broke through. What are your plans now?"

Ian thought for a moment. "First, I’ll go back to handle some trivial matters. Then I’ll take some time to adjust and solidify my comprehension of the Rules."

Lucian nodded. "Then I won’t keep you. Let’s stay in touch."

As soon as his words fell, lightning flared around him, and he transformed into a streak of light that shot into the sky, quickly disappearing into the clouds.

After Lucian left, Ian dismantled the Level Three Shield Array and departed quietly with Gaga.

Along the way, he activated his Invisibility Technique, avoiding all potential passersby.

After breaking through to Level Three, his Invisibility Technique was even more refined.

It didn’t just hide his physical form; it could also perfectly conceal his aura and Energy fluctuations.

He covered the eight-thousand-li journey back in a matter of minutes.

As night fell, the silhouette of East City appeared on the horizon.

Ian arrived at Bauhinia Lane, pushed open the main gate, and was greeted by the familiar scent of medicinal herbs.

He stood in the center of the living room, gazing at the night outside the window, an unprecedented sense of peace in his heart.

"A Level Three Wizard... I did it."

Gaga flew down from his shoulder, landed on the coat rack, and yawned.

"Finally back, gaa... I’m dead tired..."

Ian chuckled, walking over to rub its little head.

"You’ve worked hard. Get a good rest tonight."

Gaga squinted its eyes and let out a contented purr.

Ian immediately connected to Aidele’s Secret Magic Mark and left a message.

Then he turned and walked toward the underground Laboratory, silently running through his plans.

’First, of course, is to inform Aidele, so I can secure better treatment.’

’Then, heal Titus... and... think about which world to choose for my second projection.’

’The Path of the Morning Star is still long, but at least I’ve taken the most crucial step.’

’And then there’s Collins. I’ll see how things go. Now that I’m a Level Three Great Wizard...’

"If you have any sense, you won’t provoke me again."

"Since you dared to provoke me... once I’ve dealt with the matters at hand, I’ll send you a little ’gift’."
