「Early morning.」

Ian walked up from the underground Laboratory into the living room, his Spiritual Power sweeping over the door.

Lucian was standing outside. Although his face was tinged with exhaustion, his eyes shone with excitement.

Ian opened the door. "City Lord Lucian, welcome back."

"Ian, my friend!"

A smile bloomed on Lucian’s face as he stepped inside, carrying the faint, lingering scent of blood.

"City Lord... perhaps you should go home and rest first? It wouldn’t be too late to make the trade tomorrow."

Ian stepped aside to let him in, his gaze sweeping over him.

Lucian’s left cuff was torn, as if grazed by some kind of Energy, and a new scar marked the back of his right hand.

But he paid it no mind. "It’s on my way, anyway. Saves me another trip."

"This expedition to the ruins... it couldn’t have been easy, could it?"

"It certainly was not."

Lucian plopped down on the sofa, took the tea Ian offered, and downed it in one gulp.

"That Half-Plane in the Land of Chaos... it was far more dangerous than we anticipated."

He set down his cup, his expression growing solemn. "We ran into a Void storm right after we entered."

"It wasn’t a natural occurrence. It felt more like someone had triggered it intentionally."

"The storm lasted for three days. It swept away several Level Two Wizards, and we couldn’t even find their bodies."

Ian’s expression turned grave. Void storms were incredibly powerful; a moment of carelessness could be fatal even for a Level Three Wizard.

"What happened then?"

"After the storm subsided, we were lucky enough to find some ruins."

Lucian’s voice was filled with emotion as he slowly recounted the tale.

"It was the Laboratory of some ancient Level Four Morning Star Wizard, abandoned for at least ten thousand years."

"But the Protective Array inside was still operational, and there were some ’Guards’."

He raised his right hand, looking at the scar on its back.

"Three Level Three Peak Void Worms were hidden deep within the ruins, guarding the core area."

"We joined forces with two other teams of Wizards. It took us two whole days to wear them down. We lost four Level Three members and seven were injured."

"Only then... did we finally open the gate to the core area."

As Lucian spoke of this, a flicker of lingering fear crossed his eyes.

"What we didn’t expect was that inside, there was a body... the body of a Level Four Morning Star Wizard."

"We have no idea how many years it had been dead, but the body was perfectly preserved, as if it were merely sleeping."

"It was there that I found the materials you wanted."

Ian’s breath caught for a moment. ’A Level Four Morning Star’s Laboratory must have more than just this.’

But Lucian seemed unwilling to elaborate, deliberately skipping over that part, and Ian didn’t press him.

Just then, Lucian took a palm-sized Jade Box from his robes and placed it on the table.

The Jade Box was Dark Silver, its surface engraved with complex Space Runes, and its edges showed faint cracks.

"This is the Void Condensed Core you wanted. It weighs over three pounds, and its quality... is close to Tier Four."

"There are also three Phase Cores, all about the same size, and the Space Rule they contain is very complete."

With that, Lucian opened the Jade Box, and the space around it distorted abruptly.

Inside the Jade Box floated a fist-sized, Dark Silver crystal.

The crystal’s surface rippled continuously like liquid mercury, and countless fine silver threads crisscrossed and interwove within it.

Beside it lay three transparent crystals, each the size of a pigeon’s egg.

Within the crystals, one could see a rotating, nebula-like structure that emitted the stable aura of the Phase Rule.

"Void Condensed Core... Phase Cores..."

Ian stared at the Jade Box, a fervent glint in his eyes. He was finally about to obtain the items he had been searching for for so long.

He quickly estimated their value. The quality of both materials was even better than they had agreed upon.

"According to our agreement and their value... I will pay with ten Tier Three Purification Potions and twenty Earth Tyrant Potions."

He took out ten Dark Silver Crystal Tubes and twenty Dark Gold Test Tubes from his Dimension Ring.

Lucian accepted them, extending his Spiritual Power to inspect them carefully.

Inside the Tier Three Purification Potions, the Power of Order Purification was as dense as liquid.

The Earth Tyrant Potions, in particular, radiated a potent bloodline fluctuation, and the faint phantoms of mountains seemed to rise and fall within them.

"Excellent! Excellent! I’ve always trusted your skill with Potions, Ian."

A satisfied smile spread across Lucian’s face as he carefully put the Potions away.

Seeing Lucian accept the Potions, Ian closed the Jade Box and stored it in his Dimension Ring.

"My thanks, City Lord."

"No need to be so polite. We both got what we wanted." Lucian stood up.

"I must return to Stormwind City to handle the aftermath. There are still things in the Half-Plane we haven’t finished moving. Let’s cooperate again when we have the chance."

Ian saw him to the door. "Of course. Stay in touch."

Once outside, Lucian transformed into a streak of blue light, soaring into the sky and vanishing deep within the clouds.

Ian stood at the door. After Lucian disappeared, he turned and returned to the underground Laboratory.

He closed the door, activated all the Protective Arrays, and then took out the Tier Three Void Condensed Core.

The fist-sized, Dark Silver crystal floated in mid-air, silver threads flowing slowly across its surface.

’Since all the materials are here, it’s time to begin.’

The three Star Orbits deep within his pupils began to spin faster, and his Order Divine Body manifested slightly.

With a flicker of his will, the Two-Realm Phase Analyzer flew out from between his eyebrows.

The walnut-sized, Dark Silver Witchcraft Tool hovered in his palm. Runes flowed across its surface, and its aura was around Tier Two Peak, approaching Tier Three.

This upgrade would be much less difficult than the initial Refining.

’Use the Void Condensed Core as the heart and the Phase Cores as the guide...’

Ian tapped his right index finger, and the Void Condensed Core slowly drifted toward the Phase Meter.

The instant the two made contact, a sizzling, grinding sound erupted!

The Runes on the Phase Meter’s surface flickered wildly, as if overloaded with Energy.

The silver threads within the Void Condensed Core began to spread outward, burrowing into the Phase Meter’s Rune Array.
