Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree

The prices of magic metals are very expensive, and the individual needs of general wizards are not very high.

Apart from groups like Mechanical Wizards and Alchemists, most wizards buy only small amounts that are sufficient for their use.

But Duke is different; he needs as much magic metal as possible, accepting all that comes.

Even with his current income, he cannot afford to buy magic metals in large quantities.

Strictly speaking, the body of the summoned demon god is not entirely composed of magic metals, but is ordinary yellow sand mixed with magic metals.

If the 300-plus meters body of the demon god were to be entirely made up of magic metals, tens of thousands of tons would not be enough.

In Duke’s yellow sand crystals, only two to three thousand tons of yellow sand have absorbed magic metals, while the rest is ordinary yellow sand, far from enough to fully construct the body of the demon god.

And if ordinary yellow sand is used as the sacrificial material, the summoned projection clone of the demon god is likely to be not very powerful.

The higher the quality of the sacrificial material, the stronger the summoned projection of the demon god.

The spiritual power growth from natural meditation alone is very little, almost negligible.

Duke also finds that his spiritual power growth seems to have reached a bottleneck; without the skill tree, he might not even be able to increase his spiritual power by one point in a year.

The skill tree can increase spiritual power growth by enhancing Level 2 Magic levels and also through free attribute points.

Duke also understands he has reached the limit of a Level 2 Mage; without relying on external factors, it’s hard to significantly increase his spiritual power.

This is the limitation of life level, like an ant can never possess the power to lift an elephant, no matter how hard it tries to train, it cannot break through the limitation of its life level.

If Duke wants to continue increasing spiritual power through meditation, he must improve his life level, which means he needs to advance to a Level 3 Mage.

Advancing to Level 3 Mage requires the ability to comprehend rules and to mobilize rule power.

This generally needs to be done on the Wizard Plane, to receive the Plane Will’s attention and blessing upon advancing, helping the wizard take that step.

"I still need to get the Key of Rules..." Duke muses silently.

Over the past few years, he has been attempting to comprehend light attribute rule power by communicating with the God of Light’s Divine Status.

However, it turns out to be complex in practice, far from as simple as he imagined.

Although Divine Status is the condensation of rules, it does not serve the function of opening a channel like the Key of Rules.

If comprehending rules is like the most basic math learning of addition and subtraction, then Divine Status can be seen as a comprehensive advanced mathematics textbook.

Duke cannot understand at all, let alone use Divine Status to comprehend rule power.

For him, a more simple and uncomplicated Key of Rules proves to be more useful.

But after a year, there’s still no news.

Duke can only pin his hopes on the channels at Six-Ring Tower, even if there is no direct purchasing channel, perhaps he can catch an opportunity through some information.

Many subsidiary planes under the management of Six-Ring Tower are being developed, and many resource-exploiting planes are active.

The highest governing organization on Six-Ring Tower’s side is the Wizard Council, whose members are six Six-Ring Wizards, led by Albert as the speaker.

Other Wizard Organizations and Wizard Clans, although possessing Six-Ring Wizards, cannot compare with Six-Ring Tower.

Six-Ring Tower internally divides into multiple departments, such as Plane Resource Development, Plane Conquest and Strategy, Arcane Research and Knowledge Management, Magic and Alchemy Technology, Diplomacy and Intelligence, Internal Affairs and Human Resources, Order and Enforcement, Special Operations.

Each department is further divided into many smaller department structures, with extremely complex internal hierarchy.

All these departments are managed by the Wizard Council.

Duke currently does not belong to any department, as he is not yet holding a position in any department, just a regular trainee at Six-Ring Tower.
