Chapter 2, Episode 14

Day 119 of Summoning the Other World [The Shaken One] Part 3:

"What the hell is going on!

Lord Gerhardt could not hide his frustration.

This was due to unpleasant reports over the course of a few days to ourselves, which should be absolutely advantageous.

"Oh... that's..."

"What is that!? Don't tell me!"

In fact, I had no idea of the details of what was happening to Lord Gerhardt.

All that was brought to them was the fact that the bystanders who promised help said that more than one person had fallen back to Princess Lupis' side in the course of a few days here.

It is only the aristocracy with its considerable territory that has turned back.

All of them have drawn to the aristocracy under considerable favourable conditions.

Moreover, the only condition I sought was not to move the soldiers and support for Princess Ladine, this is all.

The risks to the nobles are limitless, and the benefits have increased.

The bystander aristocrats who lived the days of misadventure belonged to the aristocracy through an avalanche.

Of course I am not willing to keep my promises to those who have fallen back on Lord Gerhardt.

If calculated accurately in the first place, nearly half of the kingdom would be spent on increments of the promised territory alone.

It's only natural to realize that it can't happen if you think about it.

"There are only two things I know. That the nobles who promised help have pledged allegiance to one princess after another. And..."

Here the proximity cut off the words.

Because I knew the Lord would be angry if I said the following words:

But at the same time, I was made to understand that even if I kept my mouth shut, I would not like to see the same result after years of experience.

The proximity fulfilled his duty, ready for the thunder of the Lord to fall.

"There are people in the fallen aristocracy who are showing us a very tough attitude..."

"What do you mean? Tough posture?... even the defense of the territory has been consolidated?

Lord Gerhardt asked, as he made a fool of himself somewhere.

"That's... it looks like you've assembled the soldiers of the realm and entered the king's capital..."

"What!

Lord Gerhardt could not hide his surprise.

This is a story we can never overlook.

Lord Gerhardt doesn't have much trouble falling back from the aristocracy to the princess.

But when nobility enters the king's capital, the situation changes completely.

Fall back from the faction.

They tend to think it's going to be a big battle down, but the truth is, it's not.

Because people who turn back at this time of year are extremely averse to losing money.

People who do not contribute to factions at all to the habit of receiving food from factions.

In this case, for example, princess flags are mostly uncooperative, such as flying soldiers and not providing military funding.

Less so far.

And it was only because we knew it that Lord Gerhardt did not seek undue cooperation in soliciting bystander nobility.

Because I knew I had no choice but to ask.

That is why Lord Gerhardt feels a sense of crisis.

Because the decision to cage in territory and just show the princess a form of cooperation came off brilliantly.

"What does that mean... that you truly belonged to the princess? No. Who the hell is that in the first place?

"It appears that the small aristocrats around it, led by Counts Bergston and Zeleif, have entered the castle.

"Nooooooo... you Count Bergston! Are you willing to defy me everywhere...... no wait? A princess? You belonged to a princess, not a knight?

Lord Gerhardt noticed something he had overlooked because of his wolf at unexpected news.

"Yes, I've also been curious and confirmed many times that I'm not a knight...... I definitely belong to a princess......"

Seems like the same thing at first glance, but the truth is, it's completely different.

The Knights are undoubtedly the supporting mothers of the princess.

But the reason the Knights support the princess is not because she is a princess, nor because she has served as the leader of the Kingsguard Knights for the past few years.

It is because General Hodrum, the head of the Knights, established Princess Lupis.

With the exception of the terminal junior knights, such as those who are purely sworn allegiance to Princess Lupis, there are only so many others left to count, Mertina, deputy head of the Kingsguard Knights.

Most of the intermediate and higher knights who hold the troops are captured by General Hodrum's faction, which translates into speech as it is.

Princess Lupis is only a knighthood ornament.

But what happens when a few nobles turn to Princess Lapis' support?

The aristocracy has its strength according to the size of its possession.

Intermediate aristocrats, such as Count Bergston, have roughly 1,000 troops.

When the neighboring aristocracy helps the princesses to both Counts of Bergston Zeleif, the princess will add nearly 4,000 troops as a force of war.

Of course Lord Gerhardt, the head of the aristocracy, currently has an estimated 40,000 troops.

After conscripting peasants without further ado from their territory, hiring mercenaries should result in an approximate troop strength of over 60,000.

General Hodrum currently holds approximately 15,000 troops.

Less than 20,000 princess reinforcements combined with General Hodrum's soldiers.

Lord Gerhardt is still in a favorable situation, but what bothers me is to say that the fallen aristocrats belonged to the princess.

Lord Gerhardt pulled himself out of the side room, resting his hips deeply in the chair and spreading his thoughts.

(Princess Lupis...... are you willing to regain real power from Hodrum?

The matter came to Lord Gerhardt.

Bergston Zeleif, seeing the actions of both counts, that is the only way to analyze it.

And deny the idea yourself.

(No... I can't. Princess Lupis can't do that...)

Lord Gerhardt had questioned Princess Lupis' abilities.

Princess Lupis is 22 now.

I'm never saying I'm incompetent because I've been head of the Kingsguard Knights for about five years.

However, there is a proviso that it is limited to the military.

That would be natural, too.

Because she has never participated in national politics yet.

Whatever her qualities, there's no way she can do anything she's never experienced.

This will change the story again if we are also near the side of the Wise, but only Meltina, the Deputy Commander of the Kingsguard Knights, will be named as near the Princess.

Besides, Gerhard himself understands well that force is not a very wise working person anyway.

In other words, it may be said that it is impossible in itself to maintain the Kingdom of Roselia under the princess's own power.

(It would have been different again if Princess Lupis had at least mastered either military or political... well that's why Hodrum also held Princess Lupis. To strengthen their own power.

Lord Gerhardt understood to take the idea of Hodrum, a human being of his own kind.

(It's no later than three years before Hodrum abandons the princess... and then will she be killed or shut down, or else even let Hodrum's wife. Either way, I guess it won't be a busy thing.

Lord Gerhardt himself was not very concerned with the throne.

Because it's more of a fruitful personality than a name.

In comparison, General Hodrum is a character that takes both name and fruit.

Now I could see that I wanted a name any day, even if I was patient only with the fruit.

His name is the King.

(Well, if I win, I'll have to die, so it's the same thing for Princess Lupis...)

Princess Lapis was nothing but a disturber for Gerhardt, who already had a new divinity to say Princess Ladine.

It is visible that if there are two human beings who should succeed to the throne, they will once again be sparks of battle.

Even so, in fact, Lord Gerhardt had considerable doubts about the majesty of Princess Ladine, whom he himself owns.

I do have the same silver hair as the late king, and I don't look anything like him at all.

We have also brought the king's will, so we can't decide it's fake.

But Lord Gerhardt himself is a fighter who won the political battle, so he feels something manipulative about the current situation.

A child of the former king is found before the king dies and his heir is placed on the throne.

You may say that the timing is too good.

Still, I held Princess Ladine because I really needed a god to draw royal blood to counter General Hodrum.

If you go to war with the Knights who hold Princess Lapis without taking charge of the Divine, you will be dressed with the stigma of a rebel.

In that case, there can be a betrayer among the aristocrats who are the keepers.

Gerhard himself thinks it's stupid, but a great name is something he really needs in battle.

Even if that's the big deal of lying.

(Well, good. Even a fake princess would be real if she admitted it... and a fake would be easier to dispose of later.

There's a grin on Gerhardt's face that I've thought about so far.

It is only pure war power differences that pose problems, beyond what we call princesses together.

And so far, the aristocracy was originally more advantageous on the number, and the uptake of bystanders is going well.

The advantages of the aristocracy do not move where they are somewhat shredded by princesses.

(The question is why did the princess suddenly move... I don't even think that deputy commander's wisdom. Anybody got an adjunct?

I don't mind ignoring it because there has been no change in favorable circumstances, but sudden princess insinuations are never the preferred course of action for Gerhardt either.

"Somebody!

Finally, the idea came together, Gerhardt called for a side to refrain from in the next room.

"Are you calling for me?

"Mm-hmm. I'm concerned about the princess trend.

"Do you want to let go of the intermediate?

"Mm-hmm. You can spend as much money as you want. Hire those with the best Ude.

The proximity gave a slightly surprising look.

Because I understood that my own husband was never a generous man.

"And let them investigate if there are any cutters near the princess... kill them immediately if they are!

Lord Gerhardt never made a sweet decision, having risen to the point of winning numerous political battles so far.

Because he put power in his hands by removing obstacles before him.

"Yes, I did.

The man nearby leaves the room when he bows his head respectfully.

"Just kill whoever gets in the way, no matter who it is!

Lord Gerhardt was prepared to use any hand.

To be the ruler of this country.
