Chapter 2 Episode 31

Different Worlds Summon Day 176 [Showdown] Part 3:

Finally the sun rises on the seventh day of the covenant I made with Princess Lupis.

Liang Zhenda stood on the banks of the Tabe River and turned her gaze to the brilliant spear tip on the opposite bank.

At the end of his gaze, he can see the first formation led by Elena crossing the River Tebe.

"You didn't have anything..."

"Oh. I thought it was a night raid too... what Gerhardt didn't mean to attack me..."

To Sarah's question, Ryo Jan answered with her neck tilted.

The plan was for a squad led by the Duke of Gerhardt to attack after defeating Kale's army.

However, the enemy's main unit did not show itself, and reinforcements led by Princess Lupis received their intended arrival date.

Last night, on the last day of the deadline, it was empty even though I guarded in a strict manner considering the possibility of a night raid by the enemy team.

"Didn't Ryo Shin's rumors work?

"Sure, I'm effective, but I can't put an enemy soldier to zero. If you quote a lot, you should be able to scrape about 30%."

As Sarah pointed out, the rumors that did shine true upset the peasants.

But there is no way Gerhardt could have conscripted any peasants at all.

Threaten by force.

Fish with gold.

If these powers are exercised after the command, even if they are reluctant, the peasants respond to conscription.

Of course, the number will be reduced, but there is no way that no one was gathered at all at zero.

Liang Zhen was not in doubt about the effect of his ploy, but at the same time was not overconfident.

"Still no movement on Iraklion?

"Yes, reconnaissance units are watching. If the enemy has any movement, the news should be forthcoming."

"If you're going to launch an attack on the way across the river, it's time to leave Iraklion or you won't make it..."

To Sarah's answer, Ryo Jan slapped her neck.

"When that happens... doesn't the enemy want a showdown on the plains?

"It's a showdown...?

Between Ryojinda, who lines the banks of the River Tebe, and Iraklion, home to the Duke of Gerhardt, there is a forest zone and plain sandwiched.

In particular, the plain boasts a considerable area, and the barn zone, which draws in tributaries of the River Tebe for wheat and other production, spreads.

Iraklion is a fairly wealthy territory among the Kingdom of Rosalia.

But its wealthy land, too, once a battlefield, turns everything into ashes.

Yet if we analyze the current situation, the Duke of Gerhardt's aim will be a showdown.

If you're going to miss the crossing, which is a great opportunity to attack, Gerhardt's aim is unthinkable.

Plains are not generally a fool because they are good for commanding large armies, but they cause great damage in terms of running the Kingdom of Roselia in the future.

It's a story that I find quite uncomfortable as Liang Zhen.

(How frigid? Or you get the feeling of a chig hug... it's like someone's manipulating this fight behind you...)

Liang Zhen felt some manipulation as she sorted out the situation.

(But... it doesn't feel like I'm trying to make Gerhard win... no, it feels like I'm trying to make him lose the other way around... what's going on?

"Master Ryo?

Sarah called out as she peered into Ryo True's face.

"Oh... sorry, just a thought..."

"No, if I disturb you, will you take your seat off?

"Hey, don't worry about it because it's a little something... more than that, Sarah doesn't think about the possibility of a cage fight?

Liang Zhen changed the subject so that Sarah's words could be distracted.

(Now I don't need to think about it...? If we're not at a disadvantage, we'd better leave it alone...)

Hiding the fact that such a loss account is working in her chest, Liang Zhen asks Sarah.

"Is it Cage Castle Battle? … I think it's very unlikely"

Liang Zhen smiled unexpectedly when she heard Sarah's answer.

Liang Zhen, by the way, did not consider at all the possibility of Gerhardt caging in Iraklion.

Because, given the size of the city in Iraq, it was clear that there was no food left to sustain tens of thousands of other citizens.

In other words, gathering troops doesn't have the strength to sustain it.

Liang Zhen watched that a half moon would be a good place to hold it.

"It will be difficult to prevent Princess Lupis' army from caging in Iraklion alone, and if we put in Iraklion the number of troops that we can defend, we can see that the food runs out in just over January."

At the end of the day, it is shortened and lengthened in the belt.

Caged castles are difficult without gathering up to maximum strength.

But if we collect them, we won't have enough food.

In the end, the only way Gerhard can choose is to hit Princess Lupis with maximum force for a short period of time.

Especially since it's the same thing as Princess Lupis.

Liang Zhen nodded deeply at Sarah's answer.

I can tell you that the tactical eyes of the Malfist sisters have been quite polished in the last few months.

That is a great pleasure for Ryo Trun.

Because he's more likely to survive.

"Master Ryo Shin! Dear Elena, 3,000 knights have been crossed."

"Okay. Mr. Elena will lead you to my tent, and the rest will be assigned a tent to rest."

Upon giving instructions to the knight who came to report, Ryo Jan returns to his tent with Sarah.

Because it's all going to be real.

"That's a big deal... I can't believe you've secured so much bridge head protection..."

Elena put her admirable words to Ryo True.

"It's no big deal."

"You don't like humility sometimes, do you? At least I can't make it. Her Royal Highness will be surprised."

To Liang Zhen, who shrugs her shoulders and replies humbly, Elena relentlessly let her praise.

"As far as I'm concerned, I'm afraid they're going to reprimand me..."

Elena looks strange when she hears Ryo True's words.

As far as Elena can see, I don't see room for reprimand in Ryo True's accomplishments.

But Liang Zhen cared about something.

About Mikhail Bannersh.

Liang Zhen reported everything to Elena without hiding it.

Because I thought hiding it at all would create suspicion.

"Yes... Mikhail..."

"Yeah, I haven't even been able to confirm if he was killed in action, but at least nobody saw him after the reconnaissance mission. Including his body... Well, it's clear that I ignore orders, because Mikhail is near Princess Lupis..."

A sigh of sorrow leaks from Elena's mouth.

(That's right... this could be a bit of a problem for sure...)

Liang Zhen did not hide the report about Mikhail, so she grasped Liang Zhen's concerns accurately.

Mikhail is Ryo Trun's subordinate, but at the same time he was a patron.

This is a really necessary role in entrusting important roles to newcomers like Liang Zhen.

As Princess Lupis, who keeps the soldiers, you can't be betrayed on the way.

That is why among Princess Lupis' ministers, Meltina was followed by Mikhail, a man of great loyalty.

That's all Mikhail was trusted by Princess Lupis.

Though that's what he deserved in ignoring orders, he died under Liang Zhen's command.

Life and death are unknown, but they are not the first to live under the circumstances I have heard.

Then, from Princess Lupis' point of view, her loyal minister dies because of Liang Zhen.

That's also better if you still understand that he died in the war.

Worst case scenario, I can even think Ryo Jin killed him with his hands around the back.

"I think you're thinking too much?

Elena was stuck with the answer to Ryo True's question.

It's easy to laugh off if you think too much.

But think realistically, Ryo True concerns can never be overthought.

"No... but you can't just not report it, can you?

"That's right... well, that's why I told Elena first"

If Ryo set Mikhail in a trap, the 1,500 knights here would never accept Ryo's true command.

If you try Elena, it seems to me that Liangzhen built Bridgetop and held up to the arrival of reinforcements is in itself a testament to Liangzhen's innocence.

But whether Princess Lupis is convinced with it is a bet.

Liang Zhen and Elena both have shallow relationships with Princess Lupis.

Moreover, it is between the princess and her subordinate.

It may be said that there are no other contacts in attendance at meetings, etc.

Just as Princess Lupis sent Mikhail as a patron, Liang Zhen doesn't trust Princess Lupis either.

"Well that's good... you'll have to report it from me..."

Elena made up her mind to wear it.

No matter how much honesty you swing, it sounds like a lie if the parties say so.

But if Elena explains the situation, she won't make an emotional decision with Princess Lupis.

"Excuse me, Mr. Elena. Please."

Liang Zhen quickly creases Elena's intentions, leaving everything to her.

"It's okay, I don't want you crushing me here... hey. Please give priority to the reorganization of the formation. It's a job someone has to do anyway… I'll have a good conversation by dinner tonight"

Elena assigned the job to Liang Zhen.

To Princess Lupis, Liang Zhen makes a reason not to go to report directly.

It is not Dade who has been around for many years about the position of general of the Kingdom of Roselia.

"Ok...... then"

Elena sighs deeply as she bows her head and sees Ryo True behind her as she leaves the tent.

"Come on... I wonder how you reported it... no, once more to Mertina than directly to Princess Lupis..."

It has nothing to do with the war directly, but if you misrespond here and have a weird mistrust in Princess Lupis, it can also affect Liang Zhen's command.

"I knew it would be better if I reported it to Mertina..."

That said, Elena headed to the pier to pick up Mertina, who was due to arrive in the second inning.

"Ugh..."

A voice that could neither sigh nor mourn leaked out of Meltina's mouth.

"So, Ryo, I'm not saying it's your mistake."

"No, I understand that... only..."

"Only what?

Elena also becomes more vocal in Mertina's unsweetened reply.

"No, Mikhail was a man who served from a young age as the princess's guardian knight... to be honest, he's more connected to the princess than I am..."

Elena's complexion changes to Mertina's words.

Because Liang Zhen's concerns are unfolding as they were.

"I knew Liang Zhen would suspect you?

"No, I don't think so... Describe the situation and Princess Lupis will not hit your temple with her anger even if she is saddened..."

Meltina immediately denied Elena's concerns.

Even as Meltina, Ryo can't really reinforce her distrust of Princess Lupis right now.

Because all of the princess's advantages are due to Liang Shiba's true ruse.

"Then would it be better if I left the report to you than I did?

"Yes, I will report this matter to Your Highness."

Meltina nodded at Elena's inquiry.

Later in the night, all the 23,000 soldiers led by Princess Lupis ended the river crossing on the River Thebe.

The tent of the formations is added by Ryo Trun's command and embraces the new inhabitants.

Princess Lupis was among those newly built tents.

"... Mikhail..."

Mikhail's name leaks from her mouth, where the royal family laid back on a crude cot to sleep.

"Mikhail... you didn't protect me till hours..."

A childhood memory of spending time with Mikhail comes to mind behind Princess Lupis' brain when she hears Mikhail's life and death are unknown from Meltina.

Princess Lupis had zero tears fallen from her eyes when she was a pearl.

After receiving a report from Meltina, Princess Lupis contained a desperate and overflowing passion.

Liang Zhen's responsibility as a princess refused to be blamed.

There is nothing wrong with Liang Zhen's command if he sees it fairly as king.

What is to blame is Mikhail for ignoring orders and causing as much as 500 damage.

I understand that.

On the head.

But the part of the mind as a person denies its rational judgment.

As a result, Princess Lupis cut up the dinner early and caged it in her own tent.

Because I realized that if I stayed there, I might be scattered to Ryo Trun.

"Ah... Mikhail... I told you you'd make me your daughter-in-law..."

A knight cannot marry a royal princess, Princess Lupis, and she herself did not really want it.

Promise close to childhood play.

But the memories that are usually driven to the corner of my head and I can't remember are also the ones that come up one after the other in these situations.

"I told you you would protect me all the time..."

For Princess Lupis, alongside Meltina, Mikhail is the most loyal and trustworthy minister.

He was also the one who advanced to confront General Hodrum's dictatorship.

If Meltina, the same woman, is a sister, Mikhail can also be considered close to her brother and father to Princess Lupis.

The grief of losing it may be deeper than it was when Falst II, the real parent, collapsed.

It was not alienation, but because it was a relationship between the king and the princess before he was a father and daughter, he was unable to cultivate the affection of his flesh parents inside.

"Ho. You seem pretty sad as I thought. His Highness Lupis."

Suddenly there was a man's voice from behind Princess Lupis.

"Who!? Assassin?!... There's no one here! Somebody!"

Princess Lupis shouts in a flash of judgment.

It's unclear how he got into the tent, but there must be a guardian around him.

I should have jumped in as soon as I heard her scream.

But no matter how long you wait, there's no way a guard knight will jump in through the entrance to the tent.

"It's no use, Your Highness. My magic trick is giving you a little sleep."

Listening to the man, Princess Lupis' brain begins to grasp the situation.

She pulled out the sword that was standing on her bet.

"You're not an assassin... what's the purpose?

I also find the words and actions to be tighugly, but Princess Lupis was serious.

No assassin can speak like this.

But it doesn't necessarily mean you won't do yourself harm.

She wasn't willing to loosen her guard until the man's purpose was clear.

"Purpose...... that's right. Sure, we don't have time for this, so why don't we just talk about it... Zubari, I came here to make a deal with you."

Princess Lupis' nervousness eases when she hears the man's words.

"What do you mean? Who are you in the first place? How did you get here?

To Princess Lupis's inquiry, the man reveals his hidden face in the hood.

"I'm late for my application. My name is Sudo, Sudo Akibu."

That said Sudo bows his head.

That was a sign of no hostility.
