Chapter 6, Episode 29 [Tongue Warfare] Part 1

When Ryo Trun was enjoying an elegant moment in a cramped room with no windows, Roberto Beltran and the legislators, who together make up a total of twenty members of the House of Lords, had a fierce tongue battle in the hall known as the Grand Chamber, which is located at the far back of the first floor of the House of Lords.

"Lord Roberto Beltran. So you're not going to accuse Baron Shiba of the barbarbaric acts committed in this private war with the Earl of Salzberg, or to hold him responsible for the death of your father and your brother?

One of the judges absurds his voice.

Included there are surprises and fears.

Of course, Roberto isn't horrible.

Sure, as a samurai, Roberto standing in front of you is an isolated being, but this is the place for the House of Lords to question him.

It's subtly different to be exact, but in brief, it could be called a trial.

But either way, this is not the place to be by force.

The fear of a man, was it caused by the fact that Roberto would not try to blame Liang Zhen, something he himself could not understand?

Blood ties are one of the most valued elements in the aristocratic society of the Kingdom of Roselia.

The child is required to be absolutely obedient to his father, and no child is killed by his parents and does not swear vengeance

Is it like an enemy idea from the Edo period?

From the modern way of thinking, I would say it smells old and anachronistic.

But that was the common sense of society in the earth world. At least on the surface.

Or maybe I could say pre-construction.

Well, I can't take that for granted either.

Apart from kinship, there are many elements necessary for nobility to be aristocratic.

The flourishing of households and houses would be of particular significance.

Is it possible to preserve the family name that a line that nobility cannot give way to in the true sense?

Conversely, other than that, it is surprisingly accommodating.

Honor and morality would be second to third in front of the ultimate aim of preserving the family name.

However, that doesn't mean you never care.

At least, if it were more circumstantially advantageous to use Pre-Construction, they would not hesitate to shake Pre-Construction as a truthful argument.

As a weapon to hunt down enemies.

That's why we can't understand Roberto's words if we try them.

(Well, you can't possibly understand how I feel about these guys...)

Roberto is also unwilling to disagree with the opinion that children are to be obeyed by their parents.

But I also think it's wrong that a child has to tolerate all of his or her parents' actions.

At least I don't think I have to keep my promises until I've been treated like a slave.

Because even slaves have the right to disobey even in exchange for whips.

"I'll ask you again. Lord Roberto Beltran. You admit this private war caused by Baron Chai... is that what you're saying?

A recurring question.

To be honest, I said, "Ugh! After shouting, I just want to slap five or six shots of my fist in the face with a man's soaked face.

Anyway, Roberto's fist is a weapon he worked out on the battlefield.

Its killing power is no different than that of a fist or a spear.

There is no doubt that it will be like a watermelon beaten to the ground by a single blow, such as a nobleman who has never been on the battlefield to Loc.

(I'm sure I'll feel clearer...)

If this interrogation were Roberto's own personal matter, he might not have put up with it.

Somehow, you have to deal with such a fool.

It can be taken for granted that stress occurs, and Roberto cannot originally be described as a patient person.

But at least not now.

(It's not easy to have the Lord...)

Roberto had never imagined that the day would come when he would serve people.

Even when the Earl of Salzberg had taken all kinds of care of him, I never thought of him as a master.

I did feel obliged.

The surroundings didn't look very good, but I'm sure they felt familiar to the extent that they called the Earl of Salzberg a jerk.

But it was the realization that it was only a reciprocal deal in exchange for my own force.

But Roberto has a master now.

A man who burns to the ambition and ideals he deserves to give his life.

If you are in a land world with lots of early marriages, you are a young lord of such age that it is not surprising that you were a son when you were poor.

Some people will find it difficult to do it.

But that was the end of the story for Roberto.

Because we were able to get around to our husbands who thought the samurai deserved to risk their lives.

So Roberto says the same word again.

Even if you know it doesn't make sense.

A blue and white moon plugs in through the window of the dean's office set on the second floor of the House of Lords.

Time was already hanging out near midnight.

The room is filled with executives of the House of Lords, beginning with the Marquis of Halcyon, the head of the House of Lords.

Is it confusion and agitation that floats in their faces sitting on the couch?

And the same can be said of the Lord of this room, the Marquis of Halcyon.

No, I put my elbows on the clerk's desk, and on the face placed over my combined hands, in addition to them, there was a mixture of distinct irritating colors.

"This is just a little bit of an uninteresting development... Dean."

With that said, Count Eisenbach, who is Vice Dean of the House of Lords, sighs.

In fact, it is certain that quite unexpected developments continue.

Anyway, the interrogation itself was prolonged, and it should be over today, because it was carried over to tomorrow.

It would be unusual for stories already concluded on the House of Lords to extend so far to marriage.

And above all, the problem was that the witnesses were showing a non-cooperative attitude against expectations.

"Signis Galveira to Roberto Beltran... I did hear they were two co-benders, but I didn't know it was that much..."

Despite the considerable pressure exerted by the judges and prosecutors on the side of the House of Lords, Roberto did not bend his opinion at all.

No, that's not just Roberto.

The other witnesses are the same.

"No, more problematic than that is Mrs. Yulia's. I can't believe he's defending Baron Funashi in plain sight while his husband is murdered... It's just rumored to be a boulder [poisonous woman], and it's thick on the surface."

One endorsement after the other comes from the surroundings to the word.

With regard to Roberto and Signis' testimony, the possibility of defending Ryojin Mitsuzai had been eliminated among the House of Lords.

Either way, the treatment of Roberto and Signis in both houses was never good.

No, when it comes to Signis, you can even say it's ugly.

Either way, proud of all that martial arts, you two are still single.

There's a healthy man who wants to go past the middle of the thirty.

Of course, Roberto is not in a position to succeed the housekeeper, even if he is the son of a genuine wife, and he is a common son when it comes to Signis.

From an aristocratic society that values blood, it can never be described as a good property.

But that's only a story if you didn't have the out-of-the-box bravery of two people.

If he was so magnificent as to be called [the double-blade of the Earl of Salzberg's family], many noblemen would have begged his daughter's son-in-law.

If we don't even get the cross spears in both houses...

Naturally, they would have had a grudge against their own family.

The general idea is that families can forgive each other for their mistakes, but some things are unforgivable because blood is connected.

Of course, they are undesirable scandals for nobles.

So both the Baron Beltran and Baron Garveira were desperately trying to hide those rumors.

But for humans with more than a certain power, the efforts of both households mean nothing.

So everyone in this room understands Roberto and the others' position.

Naturally, it was within the limits of the assumptions for the House of Lords to possibly shelter Ryo Mitsuji, who reached out to them who were in such a predicament.

But Yulia Salzberg is different.

It was rumored that there were [poisonous women] and [barbarians], but there was no certainty between her husband, the Earl of Salzberg, and Lady Yulia.

In fact, it could be said that it was quite painful if we put it to the House of Lords that Lady Julia exposed Count Salzberg's injustice and disloyalty to the Kingdom.

In other words, it could justify the true claim of Ryo Misaki that it was decided for the order and prosperity of the Kingdom of Roselia.

"But... more than taking the form of interrogation..."

Viscount Therese, one of the executives, opens his mouth hesitantly.

In fact, it is unacceptable to blame the witnesses for not disputing your son Ryo Shiba.

Because the House of Lords' hearings only mark impartial neutrality.

But everyone here understands that it's just pre-construction.

"Sure...... but the original plan is going crazy as it is"

What I want is a testimony that your son Ryo Shiba has privately lost the Earl of Salzberg and the ten northern families that follow it.

As long as you have that word, the story will be easy.

The question is, how do we get that word?

That's when I heard a modest knock on the door of the room.

"What?

Count Eisenbach, Vice Dean, asks.

"I'm afraid so. I'd like to report to you as soon as possible."

I perceived that voice to be the secretary with the dean, and Count Eisenbach turned his gaze to the Lord of the room.

If it was meant to be, I just want to yell at you to give up the place.

But I guess it's really urgent that you come to the report despite ordering people to pay.

So when he nodded small to Count Eisenbach's gaze, the Marquis of Halcyon opened his mouth broadly.
