Chapter 180 - 118: A Gentleman Can Be Bullied (2)
Ye Jingshuang gave a wry smile and glanced back at Luo Qingyi.
Luo Qingyi understood her meaning. With a flick of her hand, she threw the person she was holding over to her.
Ye Jingshuang caught him casually. After she struck a few of his acupoints with her fingers, the man slowly regained consciousness.
He looked around, still disoriented, when he spotted Qi Kai. His eyes immediately lit up. Just as he was about to speak, he saw the murderous intent in Qi Kai’s gaze.
His heart skipped a beat, and he swallowed the words he had been about to say.
He looked around with a bewildered expression.
"Where is this?"
"Hm?"
Ye Jingshuang glanced at him and pointed at Qi Kai.
"Your young master is right in front of you. What are you asking?"
"Ah? So he’s the young master you were talking about."
Mo Tingzhi nodded hastily. He looked at Qi Kai and declared loudly:
"Young Master, Young Master, I am Mo Tingzhi of Qianliu Manor! I am your vanguard.
"I would charge into the fray for you, dying a hundred deaths with no regrets.
"Just the other day, I even captured the daughter of the Cangzhou Prefecture magistrate for you, intending to bring her here to marry you.
"So we could use the power of the Cangzhou Prefecture magistrate to soar to new heights!
"Now that I’ve fallen into their hands, Young Master, you must save me!!"
He spoke glibly and with incredible speed, yet every single word was perfectly clear.
After listening to him, Ye Jingshuang was both shocked and furious, so angry she could only grit her teeth.
"What nonsense are you spouting?
"What do you mean, ’the young master I was talking about’? Do I need to tell you who your own young master is?"
"Hahaha, where did this little wench find such an actor? He doesn’t even have his story straight and is just spouting nonsense."
"Is she trying to fool us, treating us like idiots?"
"If you’re going to hire an actor, why not get one from a real troupe? This guy clearly sucks..."
The men behind Qi Kai immediately started jeering.
Ye Jingshuang’s expression darkened. She hadn’t expected Mo Tingzhi and Qi Kai to be so perfectly in sync.
With their coordinated act, she was the one who ended up looking like the villain.
’This... what on earth am I supposed to do?’
The surrounding curses and taunts fell upon her ears, each word like a knife stabbing at her heart.
Just as she was at a loss, a hand patted her on the shoulder.
She turned to see Jiang Ran had come to her side.
"Brother Jiang..."
Ye Jingshuang said softly.
Jiang Ran just smiled and grabbed Mo Tingzhi.
"I’ll give you one chance. Speak."
Mo Tingzhi’s heart trembled. He felt like he couldn’t control his own jaw as his teeth chattered uncontrollably.
He quickly swallowed hard.
"What you taught me, I’ve already..."
Before he could finish, Jiang Ran had already pressed a hand to his face. With a casual twist, there was a sharp CRACK.
The man’s head had been turned a full one hundred and eighty degrees.
Qi Kai’s eyelids twitched.
"You... You’re silencing him by killing him?!"
Jiang Ran smiled.
"Mo Tingzhi of Qianliu Manor, returned to the Young Manor Lord."
As his voice fell, he casually flung the body. Mo Tingzhi’s corpse shot straight toward Qi Kai.
Qi Kai’s expression sank slightly, but he didn’t hesitate. He pushed his hands forward, intending to catch Mo Tingzhi’s body.
In the next moment, however, he felt an immense, unstoppable force contained within the corpse.
With two sickening CRACKS, both of Qi Kai’s arms were broken. The body then slammed into Qi Kai’s chest and abdomen.
PUFF! A mouthful of blood sprayed out as Qi Kai was sent flying into the crowd behind him.
There were still a few fools behind him who, not knowing any better, reached out to stop Qi Kai.
However, the moment they touched Qi Kai’s body, they too were sent flying, spitting blood.
Qi Kai barreled through them all like this, finally slamming viciously into the main gate of Red Maple Manor.
BOOM!
The gate was instantly smashed open. Qi Kai’s momentum didn’t lessen as he was plastered against the spirit screen wall.
Half of his body was embedded in the wall, the other half left outside. Cracks spread out from him across the spirit screen like a spider’s web.
Everyone present was dumbfounded.
It wasn’t just Luo Zhenxie and his men. Aside from Ye Jingshuang, Li Tianxin, and their group, even the people from the Liuyun Sword Sect and the Cyan Pine Sword Sect were all staring, dumbfounded.
’Such power from a single throw?’
’Just who is this person?’
Luo Zhenxie’s jaw dropped. He stared blankly for a moment before coming to his senses. He looked at Jiang Ran, about to speak.
However, Jiang Ran’s figure just flashed, a trail of afterimages dragging behind him. He reached out and seized Luo Zhenxie by the throat.
"What... what are you doing?"
Jiang Ran’s grip was loose, allowing Luo Zhenxie to still speak.
Jiang Ran just smiled and pointed a finger at Ye Jingshuang.
"Who is she?"
"I don’t know..."
SLAP!
The words had barely left his mouth when a crisp smack echoed, and a heavy slap landed on his face.
Luo Zhenxie was completely stunned by the blow. He couldn’t help but glare furiously at Jiang Ran.
"You dare hit me?"
SLAP!
Those four words earned him another heavy slap.
Jiang Ran pointed at Ye Jingshuang again.
"Who is she?"
"You’re trying to beat a confession..."
SLAP!
SLAP!
SLAP!
This time, Jiang Ran delivered three heavy slaps in a row. Luo Zhenxie didn’t even have a chance to speak; he just opened his mouth and spat out a mouthful of teeth.
He could no longer speak clearly.
"Out... outwageouth..."
Seeing this, Jiang Ran nodded. He casually grabbed one of Luo Zhenxie’s arms, ran his hand down from the shoulder to the fingertips, and took hold of his little finger.
Luo Zhenxie’s pupils contracted violently.
"What are you going to do..."
Jiang Ran pressed his thumb against the pad of Luo Zhenxie’s pinky. He pushed down hard, and with a SNAP...
...the top joint of his little finger broke.
Luo Zhenxie immediately let out a bloodcurdling scream!
The agony was unbearable, a pain that felt directly linked to his heart.
Jiang Ran, however, spoke softly:
