Yomigaeri no Maou

Lesson Six, Giant.

Running through the woods as they slid through the trees.

Lulu's physical abilities, enhanced by magic, had given him a speed comparable to that of a wolf running through the woods.

The dark magic light that twists and shines on the legs is as beautiful as it was when you were the Demon King.

Nor can the animals and demons of the forest be indifferent to Lulu, the intruder who suddenly appeared in the forest.

Every time Lulu walks by, he moves those ears tingly and attacks them with his face.

But he can't even react to Lulu's too fast, and consequently leaves him behind Lulu.

It was the ruins of the ancient demons that Gran and Yumis had said that such a lull was now on its way.

Apparently it is also in a relatively deep position in the forest near the village, and only about the hunters of the village know its detailed location. Its ruins.

However, its very existence seems to be famous both in the village and among those entering the forest, and the villagers, in fact, all knew it.

I would have liked to have asked in detail where the place was and figured out the exact location before heading there, but things compete for a moment.

I didn't have time to do that.

Fortunately, we know more or less the direction we heard yesterday in a conversation between the two adventurers and the villagers, and Lulu also has a high sensing ability bottomed up by magic in the first place.

Thanks to this, I was able to reliably grasp small clues such as Gran and Yumis and the magic and signs of Rusty and the smell of Rusty.

Lulu's legs don't stop.

Friends of the first (human) tribe who were reborn.

You can't just scatter that life.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

Lucky or unlucky, Lulu was surprised at the place near the ruins that Lulu had finally reached with his thoughts, not only Gran, but also Rusty and Mi, and even Yuri.

Seeing, Rusty and the others looked so shuddered that they were frightened, hugged and speechless.

"You, why are you here! What happened to Yumis!?

Gran's fury echoes.

He was sheltering the Rustys on its back with a great sword.

His back, with its muscular bones, is reliable to see, and I can feel the force that seems to protect him from any being.

But even if he did, there might be a bad minute being, the one who made him think so, right in front of him.

Rusty and the others are trembling, and in the forefront of the Gran that shelters them, there are several magical conductor machines standing in the modern era that are supposed to be almost out of sight, pointing their red, radiant, inorganic eyes at the Grans.

"I'm here to help! Yumis has boundaries in the village!

That's what Lulu says, we get next to Gran.

Gran turned a surprising eye to Lulu like that,

"Huh!? What are you talking about? I guess I can't help it!? There's nothing I can do about it now that I'm here... you hide behind me too!!

Saying, Gran points the Great Sword at the Magic Guiding Machines.

If we were in the middle of a fight, we might not have had time to have this conversation.

But strangely, the Magic Conducting Machine seemed to just stare at this one without moving, which is why we could afford to be having a conversation.

The design of the Magic Instruction Machine in front of me, in a nutshell, is a giant, said atmosphere, roughly human, and its body is thick and large.

They each possess a weapon in their hands that they said was a sword or axe, the size of which would be huge, and in one swing humans and others would be easily converted into meat chunks.

Is the size of the body, more or less, three meters?

It is also troublesome that most of its giants are made up of rocks and look terribly firm.

One big red glowing eye is on the area that hits your face.

Looking at the overall characteristics, Lulu hit that the magic guiding machine was a mass-produced "rock giant (Lupes Gigantes)" in the early days of the war.

Indeed, the performance itself should not have been so high, it should have been one of the simple magic conductor machines to make.

However, because it is so, I remember that mass production was easy and difficult to break, so it was commonly used for civil work.

The castle where Lulu once lived was also built with a large number of rock giants (Lupes Gigantes) put in, somewhat emotional.

Lulu fights such a rock giant (Lupes Gigantes) but thinks about the reason for this situation that hasn't hit him.

Not to mention for civil work, they were rarely converted to combat in emergencies, and almost all rock giants (Rupez Gigantes) were used for combat by the time the war against the people (Humans) was coming to an end.

Therefore, that attack target should basically be set on a people (human), but the fact that it's not coming at us now indicates that something else is being set.

Yumis let him go, that bee-shaped magic conductor machine that was flying in the sky, "The Magic Cannon Bee (Canon Apis)" was clearly aimed at people, but what the hell is it...

I feel like there's something there that serves as a behavioral principle.

Lulu tells Gran, thinking about it.

"I'll be fine, Gran will protect Rusty and the others."

"So you can't admit that! When you do something, I don't want to explain that to your parents! Mostly, this time, it's me and Yumis. Shut up and be protected!

Gran says that like he screams.

I guess you feel responsible.

Gran and Yumis accidentally entered the ruins, but this happened for them.

That's why I don't want to do the damage caused by it.

It is a well-understood logic.

But Lulu approaches the rock giant (Lupes Gigantes) step by step, without daring to respond to Gran's plea.

If we got close enough around, it was to see if that demon-guiding machine would act, or if it wouldn't even act close enough.

"Hey!"

Gran screams, but in front of Rusty and the others on his back, he can't even move.

I don't know when the rock giant (Lupes Gigantes) will hit me.

That's why Gran was eating a stall here, even though he was barely active as a rock giant (Rupez Gigantes).

Originally, Yumis was supposed to come back with a tie of arms, but for some reason, Gran had lost any other action he could take because Lulu had come.

Rusty looked at Lulu and shouted at Lulu, trembling as he couldn't stand the danger of his childhood friend going to the boulder.

"Lulu! Tell him not to!

But if that's enough to stop it, I haven't been in this behavior since the beginning.

When it comes to what Lulu is doing this for in the first place, it's because Lulu is the only one who knows how to stop the Magic Conducting Machine.

I just taught the Grans how to do that, and there's nothing I can do about it unless I know how to handle the central device that would be in the ruins.

That is not what we can do overnight, and therefore we cannot leave it to them.

So Lulu said, having understood that was just a restful word.

"It's okay, you guys stay there and be protected by Gran! I... have to deal with these guys."

Approaching the Magic Conducting Machine.

I don't know where the boundaries were, but the rock giants (Lupes Gigantes) match the standards of their eyes to Lulu, run that immobile giant, and come at Lulu.

Is it the type that strikes me when I get closer than a certain distance?

Having so confirmed, Lulu, at one end, at a distance, descends until the rock giant (Lupes Gigantes) is no longer attacking him.

There was, of course, the possibility of coming after me everywhere, but in reality, it didn't.

At a certain distance or more, the rock giant (Rupez Gigantes) gets quiet as soon as possible and gets back to where he was at the beginning.

And it was understandable that the starting point for that constant distance did not come from the rock giant (Rupez Gigantes), but seemed to come from the ruins, by continuing to approach or distance it several times.

I looked at it from behind and Gran seemed to understand it the same way, and I lifted my guard.

"... apparently, you have to get close to the ruins to attack them...?

"Looks like it. It's just that the bee-shaped magic machine that flew into the village came at me with or without me. Maybe there's a different purpose over there and over here."

Lulu responds to Gran.

Grant tilted his neck,

"What is it, what is it?"

"Can you imagine more or less? It is clear that this rock giant is protecting the ruins. It would be natural for that bee to think so, too."

"Then how did you get away from here?

"Isn't that bee a lot more alert than this giant?

"Oh...... I see. If I think about it, will I be satisfied? However, there would still be a problem. Why are these guys protecting this place?

That was certainly doubtful.

Lulu doesn't know this ruin.

The exterior of the ruins is a small circular flat building, far-sighted but with stairs visible a little bit from the entrance.

The collapsed stone overlaps in front of that staircase, so that part was not originally exposed and probably hidden.

The stairs seem to go down, so perhaps beyond that, we can see that it leads to the basement, but I don't remember Lulu building such a building.

I didn't even realize the use, nor did I remember at the time of the war anything like placing rock giants (Lupes Gigantes) or demon gun bees (Canon Apis) for security.

Inevitably, this was made after Lulu died as the Demon King, but I can't imagine why.

Did the Ancient Demons survive unexpectedly long?

I couldn't help but notice the contents of the ruins.

So, Lulu said.

"That's going into the ruins now to find out..."

But that dialogue is immediately denied to Gran.

"Hey. That's no good. unacceptable."

It was a natural dialogue.

Adults stop kids from trying to be impotent.

Extremely natural.

But by reason, Lulu should be more right.

"We have to hurry or we're in danger. I'm guessing that bee-shaped demon-guiding machine's got a couple of escapes, huh?

Yes, it should be a prerequisite to stop that operation faster than you know how far the action area of the Magic Cannon Bee (Canon Apis) is.

I don't tip for that, and I'm pretty sure something equivalent is in the ruins, so it was supposed to be true that we needed to look into the ruins quickly.

"That's right...... in the first place, you're a child. Do you understand that? You have the power to fight? Wouldn't you?

But of course, for Gran, Lulu was a child, no matter what he thought.

It was his reasoning that he couldn't possibly do that to that child, and that he couldn't fit in with dangerous eyes.

I wonder how much earlier it just seemed to be an extension of the glitch, just because I was able to check the range of action of the rock giant (Rupez Gigantes), and that just repeatedly approached and left.

In fact, what I was doing is roughly equal to that.

For Gran, Lulu is just a fast-paced kid right now.

And that's a well understood story for Lulu too, and I didn't think I could handle explaining it in words.

So, Lulu said.

"I mean, you're sure I'm strong enough, aren't you?

"Well, to the entity, yes..."

"Then look at me"

"Ah...?... Ooh, whoa! Stop fooling around!

Then, shortly after Gran stops, Lulu goes towards the rock giant (Lupes Gigantes).

And as it was, he wrapped his magic around his fist and hit the rock giant (Lupes Gigantes).

Try Gran, it would have been an incredible behavior.

A seven-year-old is hit by a three-meter rock giant with his bare hands.

I don't care what you think. Nothing but suicide.

More incredible for Gran, though, would be that the chest of a united rock giant (Lupes Gigantes) whose fist blow hit him was crushed by fine rock fragments.

Lulu doesn't even look to the rock giant (Lupes Gigantes) who collapsed as he did, but heads to the other rock giants (Lupes Gigantes) and destroys them one after the other.

"Dude...... what the heck, that guy!

Try Gran, there was nothing else like that.

"Wow..."

"Lulu, you were so strong"

"I can't believe it..."

I also heard the surprise voices of Rusty and the others.

Every time Lulu waves his fist, the shattering rock giants (Lupes Gigantes).

It was as if Lulu's little body were playing, beating the giants, kicking them up, and giving them back to just a chunk of rock.

Do all that, you can still afford it.

That's what Gran felt.

By the time I realized that way, all the rock giants (Lupes Gigantes) that were around had turned into rock chips, and there was nothing left to run in unison.

That's it, Lulu says, looking back at Gran.

"Is there going to be a problem with your strength?

"... no. I can't tell you that."

"Then can I come inside?

That's what Lulu says and stares at Gran.

Gran answered Lulu's question with a sigh.

"Ok...... But hey, the ruins can be a pretty big discovery. If you look at the magic machine just now, you'll see. So if you go in there alone, it's going to be some trouble later."

"When I say...?

"It would be desirable for me and Yumis to go with you. But there is a problem with the bee-type magic machine. So, you, if you can find a way to stop that machine, just come back. And if the ruins had been any further than that, don't go in the back for now. Wait, or come back to the village at one end. I mean stop going too deep. And then again, advice, I've heard that if it's not a magic machine, but the magic dolls (golems) that are left in the ruins are not manipulated by creatures, they've been running on orders from some kind of device. Guess from the fact that multiple Magic Conducting Machines were acting according to the same purpose, this time it's probably something like that. In that case, they'll stop if they mess with the device or destroy it. So break it when you find it. And wait there. If not, don't go too deep. Wait for us to come. This is the lowest line I can compromise. And I'm sending these guys to the village.... Is that all right?

Gran looked at Rusty and said so.

As for Lulu, I just need to be able to stop the Magic Conducting Machine for now, so I snort.

If you can, I'd like to look around every corner and look for clues to the Ancient Demons, but I'd also like to avoid wasting time here and getting into trouble.

"Okay. That's fine.... Then ask Rusty and the others....... Rusty, Mi, Yuri. Take care and go home, okay?

That said, all three of them are honest things,

"Whoa! Watch out for you, too! I know you can't get to the boulder."

"Rusty is rare and spoiled...... Lulu. Don't push it. I know it's not as reckless as Rusty's, so you might not have to say this."

"Lulu, I'm sorry. Me, I tried to stop Rusty and Mi... and we ended up annoying each other. I'll thank you next time."

That's what I said, Gran took me and headed to the village.

Lulu once again looks at the ruins.

Materials are not unusual.

At the time he was Lulu's demon king, he was shaped very differently from a well built building.

Since Lulu's defeat to the brave, it doesn't seem incorrect to see that it was made at a time not so long ago.

"... I hope we don't have a trap or something. No, the rock giants (Lupes Gigantes) were the trap..."

So Lulu went into the ruins.
