Yomigaeri no Maou

Lesson 18: No Other Love, Night Conversation

"... what are you doing?

From the other side of the door of Lulu's room lit by Cadisnora's mansion, all sorts of candles, the sleepy voice of England echoed.

The banquet at the tavern, and soon after the conversation with my father, my father fell asleep, but Lulu remembered that he couldn't sleep well and just had something he wanted to do because the liquor was halfway in, so he took out the tools and told me.

He would have already been asleep, he came to see that Iris woke up to the sound of that metal bumping into each other and standing, curious.

While feeling very sorry for himself, Lulu decides to invite Iris into the room and show him the work he was doing, as it will be difficult to sleep in again once he wakes up.

Iris, who came into the room quietly, seemed to realize what Lulu had been doing when he saw a number of the items he had spread on his desk, nodding as he was convinced.

"... I see, is it a magic machine"

On Lulu's desk there are a number of parts rolling around that the average person would only see as crap.

Materials are high in metal, but there are even objects that can only be seen in ore or just stone, and I have no idea what the hell I'm trying to do.

However, it seemed only self-evident to Illis, who as an ancient demon tribe had seen and dealt with a number of magic guiding machines.

She only understood that Lulu was trying to assemble some sort of magic guide machine.

It's nothing to hide in particular, and since I discovered Illis from that ruin, I've been thinking about making and reproducing magical guidance machines.

But besides thoughts, the fact that no magic guidance machinery had developed in modern times had made Lulu hesitant to take that initiative.

Because Lulu understood as Demon King that some parts of the technology that went too far were spreading the flames of war between ancient demons and people (human beings) into mischief.

That said, I also knew the extremely convenient aspects of the Magic Conducting Machine, and that is why I also wanted to tackle any diffusion that would make life easier for those who are not weapons.

Problem is, at that time, I couldn't get through it inside, but it seems that a little research on the Magic Instruction Machine progressed as a result of the site maintenance, not the vigilant Magic Instruction Machine, which came out of that ruin where Illis slept seven years ago, was recovered by the hands of Gran and Yumis and transported to the Wang Capital.

I can only say that it is the difference between cloud mud compared to the technical abilities of the ancient demonic tribes, but still it seemed to be much easier to manufacture magic guidance machines than before.

Not popular in this village on boulders, but in a city of some size, the sight of a magic conductor machine is becoming so rare, in the words of those based in the city, such as Gran, Yumis, and Patrick, that occasionally they actually bring magic conductor machines in the name of souvenirs.

So much so that demon guidance machines are becoming popular, and it can be said that Lulu's reasons for having to weigh in on its manufacture are also diminishing, at least for those running on relatively simple mechanisms.

I also wondered if anything that would eventually be invented with about a few years of error, even though the danger of conversion to weapons would not have that much of an impact whenever it was made.

Lulu now puts up the magic conductor machine in production and shows it to Illis and says:

"... you know what this is?

Illis thinks a little, but it's not that hard of a problem.

Instead, she'll be something she's seen well.

Because from that experience, you must have seen it many times.

The suggestion was made, and Ilis immediately gave an answer.

"Magia Cannon... no, it's small... it's portable, so you should say Magia Pistola. A magical means of attack for those who have no magic acquired..."

Lulu nodded at Iris' answer and applauded him small enough to do it to a well-made student.

Then, open the desk and put something else up in Illis to show you.

"So what's this?

Iris looked at what Lulu had put up, tilted his neck, and then answered with a strange face.

"... isn't that, too, a magic gun (Maggia Pistola)? Does that mean it's already prototyped?"

Illis predicted it that way.

That, I would say, was an extremely honest guess.

Lulu held it in his hand because he thought it was quite similar in shape to the earlier Demon Guided Gun (Magia Pistola) and as a result of a slight change in design it would have changed to the earlier one.

Iris thought that Lulu would surely also affirm that presumption by shaking his head vertically at the next moment.

However,

"No..."

Contrary to expectations, Iris asked, tilting his neck strangely, as Lulu shook his head and replied so.

"So what is it...?

Like Iris said, Lulu now has it in his hand. It was shaped like nothing but a demon guide gun (Magia Pistola), no matter what you think.

Slowly curves from the gun handle to the muzzle, once you see it, you won't see it wrong the first time. Its shape looks no different from the exorcism gun (Magia Pistra) that Lulu had earlier.

However, it is certain that the details are different, and what Lulu was putting together is made of the lowest necessary material and configuration, with fewer parts and fewer connections, whereas what Lulu has now is fitted with many gears, cylinders with bubbly colored liquids, and so on.

Obviously, it was a product that could be broken off as different in thought at the design stage, and it was odd.

And this is also why Lulu tried again to make something called a demon-guided gun (Magia Pistola).

"This is it, Illis. It's what Yumis has been getting. I didn't make it..."

To the words, Illis is surprised to open his eyes.

Because she immediately realized one fact that what Lulu was saying indicated.

In the last seven years, the Grans went to various lands and brought various souvenirs to Lulu, but one of them was this magical guide gun (Maggia Pistra).

Lulu's shock when he first saw this is huge.

Because it looked relatively new, recently made, not obviously an ancient demonic legacy from its making or parts.

Yumis said that he bought it from a traveling merchant, but he also said that the merchant just happened to have what had been sold and was going to find and sell rare favorites because he wasn't sure how to use it either.

Lulu always told the Grans to buy me something rare, so Yumis followed the word and bought me a souvenir.

And shortly after I received the Magia Pistola from Yumis, I tried to get it running, but I haven't been able to move it after all.

From the making, I don't care how you look at it, it's supposed to be a magic gun (Magia Pistola), but I didn't react at all when I poured magic into it.

After Lulu, who thought it strange, tried to disassemble it gently, ready to be undone, it turns out that the magic filler that should be on the Magia pistol (Magia pistola) has not been incorporated into the internal mechanism in the first place.

And being so means that it is a new type of demon-guided gun (Magia Pistola) that employs a new mechanism that runs by another rationale.

In modern times, where even magic guidance machines cannot be satisfactorily handled, there are those who create tools that even Lulu cannot analyze.

I was surprised and strongly curious about it.

And, to a lesser extent, he felt no danger.

Once, when it came to magic guided guns (Magia Pistola), it was a weapon invented with the concept of granting magical aggression to those who have no magic power, to those who are very few.

For this reason, as a power, it was basically something that did not extend to the sorcery used by the sorcerer, and it was a good weapon to say that it would hardly work if you came to the level I said Demon King or Brave Man.

Exceptionally, however, if the quality of witchcraft and magic put into its magic filler was high, it would never have worked, and it was also a weapon that would have enormous power by modifying it, or that would allow it to unleash a series of magic tricks that are usually difficult in witchcraft.

However, since there were only a few who used the latter, and the very few who could produce such magic guided guns (Magia pistols) in the first place, in the end, the battle of those with mighty magic and physical abilities was often a collision of swords and sorcery.

But even so, it was definitely a weapon with tremendous killing power among junior soldiers and civilians.

With that in mind, I have to say that it would be extremely dangerous if there were someone in the modern world who could produce a magic gun (Magia Pistola) and only one country had a monopoly on the technology, etc.

At least, more than one is sure to exist, Lulu also felt that he needed to make sure of his manufacturing techniques in order to spread them at times of need, so he took the time here, every day, to work on the production and improvement of the Magia Pistola.

Speaking to Illis about it, Illis took the one not made by Lulu - the Magia Pistola - and straightened him out, and said:

"Sure...... caging magic isn't responding. Why not... I have the feeling that the magic I poured in is being consumed...?

"I even broke it down and looked it up, but in the end, I don't know. At last, a great deal of trouble came when I said I was going to travel through the village..."

That's what Lulu said, sighed, but Illis smiles all the time.

"For that, you look like you're having fun, uncle."

Said, Lulu realizes his expression was laughing a little.

"Is that...?

"For a long time, what does your uncle say... you like to solve mysteries and things like that. If you recall, yes. Even when my father Bacchus' secret liquor disappears..."

With that said, Illis began to talk about Lulu's memories when he started searching for the killer who had taken the liquor of his own with the grumpy Bacchus as a delight in his ass when Bacchus' liquor disappeared.

And from right around the end of the story, Illis rubbed his eyes off.

Apparently, drowsiness has arrived.

"... it's time to sleep, uncle. Sorry to hang out with you till this late..."

"No, you're wrong about what I did in the first place. Nothing to worry about. I'm just getting sleepy too..."

"Really... then good..."

Looking really sleepy, Iris leaves tears in his eyes and returns to his room.

Lulu also decided to store the parts and tools on his desk and sleep.

Tomorrow is packing for the trip, and rematching with my father.

Not really, I couldn't stay up late.

The date for the rematch was something I would have liked to have turned to my father on a day without the risk of hangover if I could, but the day after tomorrow Lulu and Illis had decided to travel, so I had to do it tomorrow.

If I have to, I'll have to drain alcohol, even through antidote magic.

By the way, the audience wasn't willing to call anyone.

Lulu and Patrick will fight as hard as they can.

If you think about it, you can't let the people in the village, who are not very good at martial arts, watch games and so on.

The strength to the extent of Illis was minimal, which meant that no human being existed in the village today to watch the game.

I don't want to let too many people know the power itself, because there is.

So tomorrow it will be a purely one-on-one, two-man battle only.

Lulu thought about that time and his heart danced.

Fourteen years after his birth, he never exercised his power as a demon king properly.

I've used it many times for training, but it wasn't just training after all, it was a heartfelt battle.

But not this time.

My father is a truly strong swordsman.

Its full force was probably hoping that when it was the Demon King, there would be something no less than the brave men who saw it many times.

Even if you become a human race and are shackled with the ability to exercise magic and reduce physical abilities, you will enjoy that battle even more.

I've never resented a body that doesn't move as well as I think it is, but I don't even think that's a bad fact if you think, like this one, it's more likely to look like a strong enemy.

Thus, Lulu extinguishes the fire from the candle that was lighting the room loosely, and enters the bed.

Tomorrow, I'm sure, will be a good day.

Yeah, I thought.
