Yomigaeri no Maou

Lesson 23: Desierto, King's Capital

"I see you, uncle!

Ilis peered his face off the front and looked outside, then turned around and said so.

Red eyes shine in the light of the sun climbing into Jomtien, and silver hair is shelved in the wind.

Since then, a few days had passed since they left that city of grey stone walls, and the Lulu were about to reach the king's capital.

Much bigger and colorful urban city than the finals, which looks not so far away.

It was undoubtedly the king's capital, the first giant city that Lulu and Illis would see in this era.

The city of Final ended up with that day of sightseeing, and naturally it was set to leave soon, so it feels like it ended without seeing much to see.

Now Lulu hits his chest when he wants to take a good look around.

"You're all in that place...... Gran, Yumis, Rusty, Mi, Yuri...... everyone"

I grumble so that I feel somewhat emotional about the beauty of a city I can hope for in the distance.

Then Iris nodded,

"Right. It's a city where your father-in-law is, but now that you're on vacation and you're back in the village... you'll see him here sometime soon."

"You're my father... Well, I work in the Royal Palace, so I'm sure you won't get involved with us being adventurers. You could do enough to see him on holiday."

That's how the carriage approached the city.

The main entrance to the King's Capital, finally reached, is so large that it is not comparable to that of the Final, it seems hard to just imagine how much effort it will take to open and close it.

"They're opening and closing it with magic equipment."

That's what your man answers.

Well, if you do pay attention, you can see a line (line) composed of magic inside the gate.

It's a simple configuration, but if you think it's just for opening and closing doors, you can see that it's enough.

However, it seems very inefficient and probably a substitute for being tired if even a Yumis Class mage opens and closes this.

If you ask me, it looks like it was made around a little after the founding of the country, and if it was, this would have technically been the limit.

Now that the Magic Conducting Machine is starting to come out, it looks like we can make a few more things, but they attribute it to two things: budget problems and historical problems.

It is not sneaky to destroy the main entrance of the righteous King's capital.

In fact, there are times when I say that I don't even feel the need to do that because it is a magic tool that only starts about twice a day, enough to open it in the morning and close it at night.

Lulu and the others, talking about that, wait for the line to move on to the main entrance.

There are many carriages and people lined up at the main entrance of the Wang capital, and five minutes or more is unlikely to get in.

"Sounds more crowded today than usual...... is there anything?

That's what your man said, tilting his neck.

And then he talks and asks questions because a woman who looks like a resident of the king's capital was about to pass by.

"Do you have a minute?

The woman turned around.

If you look at it, he's wearing armor made of demonic skin, and his waist is lowered with a fine, industrial-like sword (Rapier).

Apparently an adventurous woman.

He gave a little face to what he talked about, but he's not grumpy.

Tilt your neck,

"What?"

I asked back.

The voice is as powerful as it is from the bottom of the belly, and suddenly when I hear it, I feel frightened and strong as it might become.

Speaking of adventurers, I've only seen Gran and Yumis, but Lulu is a little happy that they're all going to be more or less bent like this.

Combat madness, not that, but because I still like the strong.

"Oh, I need to ask you something... it seems like there's been a lot of crowding today, do you have something?

Said, the woman nodded as she was convinced when she saw the line.

"Oh... I guess I'm here to see that one"

"Is that it?"

The man of your lord tilts his neck.

Lulu was also concerned and listened to the conversation.

I wonder what the hell that is.

The woman continued.

"In the meantime, the Fire Dragon has been crusaded quite a bit because of its inferiority. We're being transported to Wangdu for a demolition show. Recruit even the general public in Central Square."

And the man of thy Lord opened his eyes unto the word, and behold, he marvelled.

"Fire Dragon! It's also majestic... I thought there were a handful of people who could do that, even though they were from the Wang capital Hiroshi. Unexpectedly, you're not incapable of talent saying that to Wang Du?

The man of the one who said it funny.

But the woman shakes her head at the words of the man of your lord.

"No. You're right, few people can do that... But if you're a top-notch adventurer, then again. There are many skilled men in Deciert, the king's capital today. Especially the Clan Seekers of the Age. The chief (leader) Gran and the deputy chief (subleader) humiliated inside, but the newcomers who came in recently have been doing quite well. I'm quite hopeful... it was Gran and Hummis who defeated the Fire Dragon."

A woman who talks about that with a happy face anyway.

"Heh, I see... thanks. I understand very well. I'm sorry I let you take the time. This is a thank you. Less, but keep it."

That's what the man of your man said, took her palm, and dropped a piece of silver coin.

The woman opened her eyes slightly,

"... that's unusual. You're a businessman, aren't you? Merchants rarely do this these days..."

"I want to take care of the edge."

"I see... ok. I am a nun (Manaka) Himelos. You should remember that. If you need anything from an adventurer, I'll take care of it."

"Oh, I appreciate that...... I'll see you sometime"

"Oh, one day again... so will the boys in the back"

That said, the woman, Himelos, left a smile and went into the city.

After he can no longer see behind it, Lulu tells Illis.

"... Grans, you seem to be hanging in there"

"Yep... looks like it. But if this traffic is their fault, I wouldn't have wanted it to be yesterday or tomorrow..."

That's what Iris said and sighed as he looked at the queue, which never advanced.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

"Welcome! To Desierto, the king's capital!

At last, the line of procedures for entering the capital was digested, and it was not until the sun went down that I could see the cedar color in the distance that I could hear the words from the soldiers of the guard.

Lulu is a little sorry to hear that you stayed at the Inn today while taking the carriage down Wangdu Boulevard and that's it.

"Finally, I thought I could sightsee the people's (human) capital..."

When Lulu says so with a sigh, Illis smiles.

"On second thought, there was no such thing as us demons stepping into the human (human) capital... in those days, holy bonds were firmly erected, and if you tried to enter, a dwarf like me had to go ready to vanish..."

"That's something similar for me. The human kingdom of those days was unparalleled with that of today's Yumis... it's obvious because it's different from the ground up."

In the past, the Holy Connection existed so much so that it could be said that it was bound to be in the great city of the people (human).

But I never saw that in modern times.

Technically, I've never felt anything like the remnants of it, but I've never seen anything run on such a scale that it could wipe out the ancient demons in reality.

"... so is the Demon Nation, but also the People (Human) are the ones who have declined. In those days, where the hell have civilizations that have flourished enough to catch up with us disappeared..."

That's what Ilis groaned as he stared far away.

Lulu also wondered about it.

People (human beings) once possessed the ability to manufacture weapons to such an extent that they would destroy the Demon King if they poured most of their abilities into it.

Yet now, as if such a technology did not exist, I only possess such primitive technology that I even feel idyllic in a certain sense.

It was strange.

But the Lulu don't even have a hint to get to the answer to that question right now.

"Is it something you can find out if you look it up... maybe tomorrow at the library"

I shrug so with my thoughts in the past.

Iris, though, told me to go into such a lull.

"No, first of all, in the Adventurer... Ah, is Mr. Gran's family (clan) first..."

"Oh, speaking of which, you did."

I realized that I had completely forgotten when they told me, and Lulu laughs all the time.

"Forget it, Mr. Grant and Rusty will be saddened."

Lulu replied in such a lonely tone to the words of Illis.

"I guess. Looks like you're having some fun..."

Iris looked a little surprised, then smiled and said.

"... even if you don't, uncle, do you miss me? He seems to be doing pretty well, overhearing their current situation."

It is a picture star for Lulu, he says with his mouth shut.

"... because you're exorcising the Fire Dragon or something. Put us aside... as long as I'm proud of you."

"The only fire dragon exorcisms are Mr. Gran and Yumis...... heh"

To Illis, who said so much and laughed, Lulu tilts his neck.

"Why are you laughing?

"No, because... my uncle, he's cute."

"Yep...?

"I'm sorry...... I haven't seen much of that kind of uncle, so it's fresh... My uncle's appearance, as I know him, was that of an immensely popular leader who stood at the head of the Demonic Nation, constantly drifting with majesty and mighty charisma and not moving through admiration all by himself...... But yes, my father must have behaved like that to my uncle because he had seen so many cute places like that."

That's what Iris said, as I thought.

The prediction does hit, and Lulu frowns.

"He's been playing with me for a long time..."

"You knew your uncle was a teasing cutie..."

Bacchus.

I do feel like I was holding on that way.

Even in modern times he is an apostle or a saint in the Church, and I still feel like he keeps making fun of me...

Well, but you won't make fun of Lulu until that's the place.

I'm sure what that man is doing and being festived means something.

I want to find out somehow about that......

Lulu thought so.

"It's time for the inn."

While we were talking, he arrived at the inn where he was staying today.

It seems that the man of your lord will stand in the king's capital around noon tomorrow, and this time he will go around the villages opposite the village of Lulu to start trading, and he and I will be in touch to this day.

Starting tomorrow, we'll have to find the inn ourselves.

With that in mind, it would certainly come down to finding the Grans or registering adventurers, rather than libraries and such.

I thought calmly and reiterated how I was floating.

As he gets off the carriage, Lulu tells Ilis about the inn.

"Tomorrow, let's go to the Grans first"

Then Iris nodded and said.

"I look forward to seeing Mi and Yuri."

It's not that Rusty didn't go in because he didn't remember Lulu again.
