Yomigaeri no Maou

Episode 42, Preliminary Round 1, Part 5

The two facing each other stood with their respective weapons, swords and sickles, both staring just at the other's way out without moving out.

Tense air dominates, the air is cold enough to make it seem that way.

Nonetheless, that attitude of the two likely to move in any direction, with no force at all in their bodies, would have even seemed like they were just resting in the eyes of an amateur.

But that's not actually true.

With their gaze and signs, they are facing each other, not moving at all, but making an advanced rush.

Two people who concentrate their muscle movements to the extreme to capture bone stiffness, even signals that run into their nerves, but never reside in solidity in their bodies.

That would be exactly the extreme battle that the seers would have realized was possible only between masters.

But it is the dweller audience of Wang Street who is staring at the two on this occasion right now, and they are naturally the amateurs of the battle.

That said, it seemed understandable that Lulu and Anku were doing something extraordinary, lurking his breath and staring at the way the two came out with a cold sweat on their neck muscles.

An unusual situation where you say that the two people who seem most relaxed on this occasion are going to fight.

In the meantime, it was Ankwu with the Great Sickle who moved on to action first.

Did you feel that things couldn't move with glue even in silence, or couldn't stand Lulu's slight lack of clearance?

Anyway, Ankwu steps in with that big sickle standing, and shakes it up to make a blow to Lulu.

Furthermore, Anku apparently felt that was not enough.

The blow of the sickle, though not aimed at Lulu, is because it has been prevented once earlier.

So Anku stepped in to add an attack against Lulu and began chanting magic in a series of movements that he said would shake up the Great Sickle, with a volume that he said could be heard slightly or not.

"... 'Death and the Holy Spirit... come unto me and we will not defeat our enemies together... cunning evil spirits (Crankrum daemon)'!

Lulu listens to the chant, I think.

It still has a very problematic configuration, unlike that of Yumis, he said.

However, my mothers, I had studied the magic used by people (human beings) well over a decade after birth, and I was beginning to see why they made up a composition that seemed odd to Lulu.

This means that in modern sorcery, the meaning of the word used for that sorcery is captured in a different way, and the grammar has changed considerably since then.

After thousands of years, words change.

It is nothing strange that it has reached the language of sorcery.

However, the problem is that the result is that what we call the efficiency and composition of witchcraft is going to collapse dramatically and retreat.

The magical language used by Yumis was an extremely beautiful grammar and pronunciation that Lulu could also understand, but now of Ankuu who chants in front of him, it is not very but it cannot be said to be a magic of beautiful composition.

Still, I can understand the meaning of crookedness because I learned from Yumis and Gran, and from Patrick, about the magic of people (human beings), and I knew what the words and grammars meant.

And as a result, Lulu also became available about the magic of people (human), but it still doesn't make much sense.

Comparing the magic used by the Lulu Demons and the Yumis Ancients (Elves) to that of the People (Humans), the former is like solidifying the foundation and then building a house on it, whereas that of the People (Humans) is like challenging how high you can stack bricks one step at a time.

So was stability, and there was no doubt that the magic of the Lulu's was something much easier to use about scale.

If I were to say the difference between the demons and the ancient (elves) sorcery, would that mean that the materials that can be used are significantly different?

It can use all sorts of things as ingredients, but the Ancients (elves) can only use it in a very limited way, and as a result they have to take a rather inefficient way of assembling things together.

Given all that said, perhaps there is still no such thing in modern times as being able to follow the Demons in sorcery.

The effects of Anku's chanted sorcery were not known from that chant, but from the way the magic gathered, the composition, the effects were obvious to Lulu.

As darkness is shaped, I feel two beside Anku and three more user-demons about to appear behind Lulu.

I guess that's what the original way of fighting is.

Look, a magical warrior who uses magic but mainly fights with a sickle, but it may be the original style to fight like a hunt by using several use demons.

In fact, all the demons of use that emerged were something of a skeleton carrying a great sickle, just like Anku, and did not feel unusual pressure on the standing evergreen power of darkness.

Ankwu's demons use Ankwu to wave the Great Sickle to Lulu, while attacking him to block Lulu's escape.

Front, back, left, right, it turns out that that arm, which seals all escape routes, has the strength of an advanced adventurer on a boulder.

However, I can say that for Lulu the battle of multi to one is rather a familiar one, and one that can be said to be the main cause.

He shook off the Great Sickle and for a moment he smiled like he was convinced of his own victory, but realized he wasn't at all handy and immediately looked for Lulu.

"... where are you looking?

When Ankwu, annoyed by such a grunt, looked back, there was a look of Lulu standing a long way from when he had moved.

With certainty, Ankwu can't hide his surprise that he was traveling without making any signs felt, even though he thought so.

But only his mouth seemed masterful, with a convulsive grin, he said.

"Are newcomers good at hiding these days? I don't have any attitude toward seniors...... Yikes!

Ankwu, who began to move where the story was over or not, hung on to Lulu again as it was.

I dared speak naturally to induce Lulu to be alarmed, and what moved me along the way was to poke my mind.

But it's not the kind of lull that goes into such a clear trap.

Ankwu, plus avoided all the series of sickles running endlessly of his use demons, and also landed slightly further away than Ankwu and laughed.

"Can't a senior be even decent these days? If you want to teach your juniors so much courtesy, why don't you grab a straight lead and rub it to the ground? I don't think so."

It was an obvious mockery, and a fact.

Anku is not a man who can't judge the situation so much that he can't understand the first shot, the second attack, the unintended blow while talking and the fact that his opponent is totally up there in everything.

In the first place, Ankwu had no mercy whatsoever on the attack on Lulu, regardless of the first shot he fired against another.

I have the perception that I'm strong, but I don't have enough spare days to think about getting out of hand with my understated opponents.

So the blow now, and the blow earlier, took it all for real.

Despite this, Lulu is still alive and standing laughing and poking cheerfully.

This was a terrible thing.

I finally understood that the person in front of me was something that was on par with me, no, somewhere more than that.

I feel the cold sweat flowing through my neck for a long time, but still spare me words that I will never lose with temper.

"Heh... heh. No way, if you think it's something stupid junior adventurers have been selling fights...... I didn't know it was so much of a monster. Did you blunt my eyesight, too?

Lulu returns words to Ankwu like that.

"Don't think you can get out of the fight now. You don't think you're the only one who can do this, do you?

Lulu, spinning his words in a sober tone, was still feeling mundane anger at Ankwu.

Slightly absurd, he showed Anku the strength of his emotions.

You know what's going to happen, that's what I was going to do.

Because I thought a type like Anku could do this because they didn't even think they would be seen like this by others.

But it was an unexpected dialogue to be back.

Anku says, pointing a grin at Lulu that he can no longer afford.

"... that's the way it is. I live with the thought of being badly seen by others at all times. Maybe tomorrow their kinsmen will come to torture me, no, that's all I need to do. I might be planning on poisoning my diet and gradually weakening it to give me a taste of eternal suffering, and maybe today, someone will suddenly kill me pointlessly, regardless of who I am."

I wasn't lying eyes.

Lulu was convinced that this man was telling his true intentions.

And even if you say yes, this man is truly insane.

How can you imagine that, chopping a person's body, flavoring the pain, and throwing it into a vortex of despair?

Wouldn't you do that if you knew you'd be in that danger tomorrow as well?

Because I thought so.

You read the inside of such a lulu, Anku continued.

"Is it strange? This me. This is my idea.... I get it, guys like this are crazy. It's crazy. Is that what you think? But there's nothing wrong with that... this is just a preference. Just as I want to sleep like mud on a tiring evening of labor, I want to hear the screams of the severed demon. Even if the day never comes back to say yesterday forever,"

"... that's crazy"

That was something I could call readiness in a way.

It would just have been something that no one would ever understand.

Admitting this was difficult for Lulu.

I don't know what made him that way, or what he was going to be born into.

But it was clear that if we did not defeat him on this occasion, the same thing would happen again as the qualifying round would continue, and that is why I deeply thought we had to defeat him on this occasion.

In retrospect, I feel like there were a lot of these things in those days.

For some reason, both the Demons and the People (Humans) get disturbed and crazy when they soak up the sea of battle for a long time.

The spirit ceases to be ordinary, and nothing thinks of killing creatures, or one day suddenly, you can see what you can't see, or you can't do what you've done again.

I thought maybe this guy in front of me was something like that, too.

But with that, there's no reason to forgive Anku.

I have to ask him to leave.

For the upcoming martial arts tournament, I really do.

So Lulu set up his sword and decided to move just to beat him.

No longer, I saw through Ankwu's movements.

The demon with it also moves quickly, but only in a determined manner.

The most troublesome thing was still Ankwu himself.

Lulu says.

"... I see what you're thinking. I'm not saying anything anymore... I just can't let you go on to World War II. Your tournament is over."

For the first time in a long time, Lulu says so, wearing what he should call a killer.

Only the boulders had advanced adventurers, and Ankwu seemed to understand that.

In the past, the temper of those who were called the strongest in the world, polished to the extreme, was enough to prepare Ankwu for death.

There is no longer room in Ankwu's face until earlier.

Because I finally understood and accepted what the hell he who stands in front of me is.

But that's why I wasn't frightened of him.

It was rather even delightful to see in its face.

"... ooh... this is... this killing, and magic! This... is not something humans can have! You... it's things like you that I've been waiting for! Now I get it... I was looking for my reaper...!

Lulu slowly packs his distance toward Ankwu, who does not try to show any fright even on this occasion in that way.

Anku understands it and continues to grasp the Great Sickle and relate to Lulu without losing his will, even though he understands that he will never win.

And I tried to run out to make a blow to him.

But that's where Anku realizes something strange.

I can't move my body at all.

Its body does not obey its will at all, even though it is about to run forward.

Why.

Can't we fight with this?

Can't you challenge Reaper?

I have trouble with that.

That's what I thought. At that time, Anku points at each other when he sees what's going on around him.

The audience staring at Anku, they're also not moving at all.

They don't blink one.

There everything lost color and consisted only of white and black.

I mean, this means that time is stopping.

In such a world, only Lulu moves at normal speeds.

I also heard footsteps walking along the cobblestone with the cobblestone.

And the sound of clothes rubbing.

Everything that concerns him, that's all that's moving.

It looked that way.

No, Anku himself, though slightly, is moving.

But no matter what you think, it's obvious you can't fight like this.

Yet Anku's body doesn't move at all.

Ankwu remembers the phenomenon of feeling like an eternity, like this, with a vision of the reaper on the back of a boy who comes packing his distance step by step.

A sword to be swung up, and a deep cleavage of his right shoulder, Ankwu's arm flies away.

So the color returns to the world that was black and white.

The pain ran over my shoulder.

Feel the beating of the blood blowing out, and understand that the other arm was also torn apart.

And both legs were cut off again... and Ankwu was unconscious.

Fishing for the fallen and lying Ankwu nostalgia, taking all of its badges, then Lulu does healing magic on Ankwu to stop the blood loss.

I guess we should even be joining hands and feet, but we decided to leave that to the Games Secretariat, and Lulu decided to leave the occasion behind.

Leaving, Lulu says, staring at Ankwu.

"... bye, seniors"

From behind Lulu's back, the audience's praise echoed.
