Yomigaeri no Maou

Lesson 64: Fire and Awakening

When I returned to the village, the burning flames covered the area.

Around without Iris and Kyou, I guess he's still fighting those black clothes or getting away and chasing them.

Running away before the villagers, Lulu thinks he has to extinguish the fire anyway and decides to use water magic.

"'Black clouds, gather. And bring that drop around...... rain (Plwia)'"

Yes, when Lulu chants, the dark clouds begin to unnaturally set in to cover the village's sky in just a few seconds, and the pounding and falling rain quickly turns into heavy rain and scratches out the flames that burn in the village.

Every time he touched the water, he made a noise and confirmed the extinguishing fire, and Lulu next decided to move on to the rescue of the villagers.

Especially the flames of burning houses do not disappear immediately because it is raining heavily, they are only gradually disappearing.

First, the living villagers must be safely brought out of the house.

Explore it with local extinguishing with water magic where the flames swirl and people seem to have difficulty getting in, as they circle one house at a time.

Fortunately, I can clearly see the magic of the villagers, even if it is small, whether it should be said or deserved, so Lulu knew where there were people to take them.

For this reason, the rescue went well and I am relieved that in the end all the villagers were helped without a single dead person.

Among them were the lords and merchants who pulled those six carriages, but somehow stood at ease.

I'm not so responsive when I talk to you, I only talk about, uh, uh-huh, that sort of thing.

Strangely enough, now that I had caught the black clothes and there, I had no doubt that they were the serious witnesses, and for now I thought I had to be careful not to let them get away with it.

Even if I get away with it, I don't have that much of a problem for Lulu than I did for Ortes, but I don't have a reason to let him get away with it on purpose, and I want to know about the upside of it.

Before leaving the city, Chiffon also said he would contact the security knights, so some of them will be here in time.

I think I should hand it over then, and for now I'll tie it with rope and roll it.

Nearly half of the inn has burned down, so it's a question of what to do with the adventurers who helped, but half of the inn is still safe, so I'm letting them sleep there narrowly for now.

You won't need to worry so much because if you solve the sleeping conditions caused by magic later, you will naturally be the ones who are individually capable of returning to the King's capital and their own homeland.

With that in mind, Illis and Kyou came back to the village.

Looking back, Lulu talks to them.

"That was late. Hey, what's up?

Then they both frowned and answered.

According to that, the battle itself ended without that long.

It means we've been able to tie him up.

But while I was tying it with rope, I heard something bite and I checked to see what I had done, and said that the black clothes I had caught had suffered.

"... probably something that was planting poison or something in your mouth"

Ilis answered with a sigh.

"It's..."

Surely they were those who seemed prepared to do so.

Assuming that, I probably had to make sure I couldn't bite anything first before catching him.

That said, I can't help but say that now.

"I tried all sorts of efforts to make an immediate recovery, but it seemed to be a pretty powerful poison, and I couldn't help it. Kyou tried everything, but I still can't..."

"That was totally meant to die from the beginning. I looked too sweet at everything...... what about Mr. Lulu?

That's what Kyou asked, so I answered.

"Neither can I. He got away. I was supplementing my magic so I could catch him no matter how far he got away... I don't know how, but his reaction disappeared completely."

Iris is surprised by the word.

"Completely, is it? Is that possible?

"You'll be able to hide it to the extent that it looks like that from a normal guy. However, at a level that I can't sense..."

I can't, it would be different.

But there were certainly people who were making that impossible possible.

Think there are people who can do that from now on. Change your mind that you have to move in this case.

"Really... what about this fire, by the way?

"Oh... I checked the source of the fire, it looks like it was mainly that carriage. Looks like there were other fires all over the village..."

When I did my gaze to the carriage, there were six carriages blackened.

Perhaps he planted a time-limited sorcery or magic fixture with the intention of obliterating evidence.

And I also found them burning similarly everywhere in the village.

As a result, the village was engulfed in flames without realizing it until it caught fire.

It would be almost miraculous to have been able to carry out the coffin box of the adventurer that was still inside before it burned.

"What about all of you who rescued him?

"No problem...... they're all safe. And the villagers. In the meantime... solve the magic and wake up"

With that said, we decided to head to the inn.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

In the meantime, we shall arrange all those who sleep in magic on the floor of the inn's widest room - the dining room.

It's easier to solve it at once, either magically or from hassle, and I have to explain it when I wake up, so I think it would be better.

The innkeeper thought he would refuse because he would occupy the dining room for a certain amount of time, but unexpectedly he was comfortable with it.

It seemed quite favorable to see Lulu extinguishing the fire and rushing around the flame-wrapped dangerous houses to eventually save the lives of all the villagers.

Lulu appreciates the favor of his master and casts a spell-relieving sorcery to see the adventurers lined up and untie the sorcery.

"... 'Evil commandments, my voice, according to my power, release the one - curse (Solvo de Madirict)'"

In this day and age, it is this magic of the curse that they cannot use unless they are high priests, but it is not so difficult for Lulu.

At the same time as casting the spell, the soft white light covered and stained the adventurers and purified something black that rose from their bodies.

"It's like a reminder of a sleeping princess."

Iris shrugged about it.

It is the story of a flushing sorcerer untying the curse placed on a princess who was laid asleep by the hands of a wicked witch.

That didn't exist in the days when Lulu was the Demon King. But for some reason, Illis liked the story even more, and I remember reading that book carefully when I was in the village, which I kept in my father Patrick's study.

"... these aren't the ones who wake you up..."

But Lulu looked at the adventurers with such a clear face to the words of Illis.

Almost all of them are tenacious warriors with muscular bones, or facial magicians who seem to have both one and two habits.

For some reason, there was not a single woman, and it was a sight that made them think they didn't want to be tied because it was a favor to be told they were sleeping princesses.

Illis laughed when he understood how Lulu felt like that.

"I'm sorry...... I didn't mean to.... Ah, you seem to have solved the magic well. Looks like you're awake."

Said, if you look at one of the adventurers shown by Illis, he does get up and open his eyes and look around.

Maybe it hurts a little from holding your head down.

Lulu approached him and asked questions.

"Are you awake? Is there anything strange about that? Remember what happened just before you went to sleep?

It wouldn't be a good idea to ask too many questions, but I'll just ask you two things that bother me if you can answer any of them one at a time.

Then the man thought a little and answered slowly, holding down his injured head.

"... ah. I remember. Until some weird black guy attacked me... Right, I was being put to sleep? You guys helped me?

The man's answer is solid, and I'm a little relieved that the spirit doesn't seem to have any major influence by magic.

"For once, don't. However, I let go of the black clothes themselves..."

"No, I just need your help.... Are the rest of them like me?

The man looked to the side and asked that when he saw the other adventurers who were asleep but had not yet woken up.

Lulu nods and answers.

"Oh. Twenty-one people in total were put to sleep just like you, and they brought us here."

"Carried...? Where am I?"

I'm told, Lulu explains his current location.

The man unnecessarily bowed his head to the Lulu's, surprised to find himself a long way from the Wang capital, and also knowing that he had one hair in between.

"Sounds really bad...... thanks for the help. I'll thank you one day. My name is Diaz. What about you guys?

"I'm the" Explorer of the Times (Elam Kupidr) "Lulu. This is Illis. This is Kyou."

"Right..."

I talked to Diaz, who nodded a few times, and then after a while the other adventurers woke up, so I spent time listening to each and every one of them and taking questions.

Diaz also helped Lulu and the others work because he woke up at the beginning to get the best of things.

And while I was doing that for a while, Ortes woke up, so I left explanations to the other adventurers to Diaz and approached him to talk to Ortes.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

"... is this...?

A blue-white face was praised and his gaze moved left and right to try to grasp the situation around him.

The first person to come into Ortes' sight was Lulu.

Ortes stares at Lulu, tilting his neck.

"... who are you? And... where am I... can you tell me?

He seems to know somehow that he is not an enemy, that his voice is not safe, it is calm.

However, I also felt a reason to say that I wanted to hold the situation down quickly, and Lulu started explaining it roughly.

And when he had finished explaining the whole thing, Ortes seemed convinced and thanked the Lulu and the others.

"Oh well... you guys helped me. Thank you so much. When I was attacked and put to sleep, I was so ready to die... But why did you help me again? It sounds like you were looking for us on purpose."

He told Ortez that Lulu and his adventurers had disappeared in the King's capital, and as a result, they had arrived here suspicious and were able to help.

I haven't heard anything about Claire yet.

So now we're going to talk about it.

"Ah. Actually, your sister asked me to..."

"Sister? Have you met Claire?

"Ah......"

Then Lulu told Ortez about meeting Krall, the price in the market, the fact that he was tangled up in the chips, and then getting the spices rewarded as a thank you for helping, and that he was looking for Ortez because he was on the brink of it.

Ortez listened to the story, and with a clear face,

"You're very nice again... I'd really appreciate it, but you wouldn't normally even do that, would you?

"Well... I'm sure you do, because I'm free. I don't hesitate to do what I want to do."

It is for a song of freedom that was the demon king of the past but was therefore not forgiven.

I couldn't move as I liked.

I was tied to my position.

I didn't like it, but the best thing I could do was to do what I couldn't do before.

That's why it's natural for Lulu to help if he wants to.

I'll look into the old days, because it's part of them.

There may continue to be more things that interest me that way, but that's what I couldn't have done raw before.

So, that's it.

That's what Lulu thinks.

"Oh my goodness... that sounds muscular"

Ortes said so to Lulu's words, but asked him to shake his hand with a smile.

"But without you, I don't know what would have happened to me. I don't know how many times I've said it, but I'm grateful to you... thank you so much. Now we can do our best for Krall."

I recall that Lulu didn't even talk about it.

"Oh, speaking of which, I heard. You think Krall's disease requires panacea?

Ortes responded to Lulu's words with a depressed face.

"Oh... yes, I am. That's why I had to win this time, but I lost. Well, calmly, I don't know if I could have been third, but I still wanted to bet on the possibilities."

It seems Ortes wasn't so reckless either.

It was a challenge under no circumstances, that's why.

His challenge, however, resulted in an encounter with the Lulu.

Maybe it was proof that we didn't know how to tie things together in the world.

Lulu told Ortes that he would drop his shoulders and talk about his results.

"That's it, we're still winning. So, one of the three of us is going to be in third place."

To the words, Ortes looks up strangely.

And I somehow understood what it meant and asked the question.

"... is that how much you like it?

And we nodded and said unto Ortez, who seemed to be delighted.

"Yes, because we like people. You do your best for a sick girl."

Ortes laughed at the response and finally said thank you and wept.
