Yomigaeri no Maou

Episode 75: Dream Realization

"Well, that's a nice house inside."

Reaching the Lulu's house, Patrick shrugged so first when he saw its appearance.

The sparkling, but not so well maintained, and neat house seemed to favor Patrick's eyes.

Ricole, the gray-haired girl who came with me, could also see how she somehow liked it from the color of her eyes.

Then the four of us went into the house.

Kyou went to the liquor store for a part-time job with Huka after the game when Chiffon asked him to come and help out temporarily.

When it comes to the main selection, it seems that the businessmen are even more busy, and they also want to borrow the hands of dogs without the hands of cats.

That said, it's also an interesting story that dog hands are better than kikyo's.

Actually, Fuuka's just too oddly good for me. Kyou's been well used to working these days.

Once inside the house, Illis received Patrick's coat, luggage, etc., and moved him to the luggage storage area.

Then behind the room - I walk to the kitchen.

I guess I'm going to be able to stay for tea.

Then Lulu took Patrick and Ricole to the living room of the house, wondering if he would do it.

The living room had most of the furniture from the beginning, table sets existed, and besides, there was something for six, so I could sit fine if someone suddenly came.

There are still tables and chairs in the back of the house even if there are more than that, so we can handle it up to about ten people.

The room, or this house that doesn't get cramped because the house itself is quite large, is still a good one I guess.

Patrick looks inside the house for a moment and says:

"It's a really good house... when it's this big in Wangdu, it's quite a value, even in the suburbs."

If I bought or borrowed it myself, it would be.

But this house is the home of Yumis in the first place.

There was a lot going on in my family (clan), so it's just something I'm borrowing, and even my taxes are paid by Yumis, so I can just live there.

Explaining to Patrick the details of the area,

"That's again...... I guess it was good because they rented a house like this...... that was tough"

I was told.

It was tough to say, but fun to say.

It's just fun for Lulu to live as he pleases, without any obligation.

Long ago - when I was a demon king, I couldn't do that.

That said, that's something I didn't tell Patrick.

I'm not going to talk about it at the moment because it's a strange story and I feel sorry for putting my real parents into contract magic.

I may have something to say one day, but not yet.

Maybe I won't say it for the rest of my life, but whether I say it or not, there's a bond between me and Patrick that says it's a real parent and child.

Sometimes I said I couldn't find so much meaning in telling him about my memories of a long time ago.

With that in mind, Illis made me smell fragrant and put tea and sweets on the tray from the kitchen.

"I don't know if it suits your mouth, go ahead"

That said, I'm going to serve tea and sweets to each and every one of you.

Illis says so, but no, Lulu was sure it wouldn't.

The same goes for cooking, but tea and confectionery making is one of the hobbies of the United Kingdom.

Sometimes the skill of Chiffon keeps rising even after coming to the King's Capital.

Even for tea leaves, this can't be bad again because they are so carefully selected that they are starting to do it with their own hands up to various blends with chiffons.

In fact, both Patrick with tea in his mouth and Ricole smelled the scent, and then he opened his eyes and exhaled at the same time as he carried it to his mouth.

"... delicious, this. Where'd you get that?

said Patrick,

"It smells like rice..."

I said and smiled.

Both compliments, would be a good word to interpret.

The praiseworthy Illis definitely recommended the treat, and they liked it again, so they ate it deliciously.

Then for a while, we chatted.

Firstly, about the girl who should have been introduced here.

"Yeah, well, with that said, we're not the only ones living here, we're the other one. If it was true, I would have introduced you to my father, but it looks like he's not home yet today, so maybe he'll work until midnight."

When Lulu says so, Patrick tilts his neck.

"When I say work, I predict from living with you guys, are you an adventurer?

"No, that guy works part-time at the tavern. I say Kyou..."

Then Patrick nodded, uh,

"Is that the strange outfit kid who was at the fight?

"Yeah, that's it."

"I see... I was watching today's game, too. That was awesome. I know Himeros, too, but I know he's not a swordsman who gets hit so easily. And yet, the way that game was settled. You felt something strange."

"That goes for me too. You used magic I don't know, I guess... I don't know. I didn't know better."

"Even you... don't you know what Illis is like?

That's what Patrick says and tells the story.

In the village of Cadiz, Iris used to argue with Yumis about advanced magic theories, and from Patrick's point of view, Iris is an expert in magic.

Not that Patrick himself isn't familiar with magic, but its essence is swordsman, not so much compared to highly knowledgeable magicians.

Because it is normal for a swordsman to realize that the technique of dealing with magic is only predominantly physical enhancement by magic circulation, otherwise if he knows the effect to figure out how to deal with it, that's fine.

Iris thought a little about Patrick's question, but didn't seem to get an answer.

"No, I don't know either. Actually, Mr. Kyou is from a slightly different origins, so it's not surprising that he remembers the magic of a special pedigree. So it's not strange that magicians in this country have technology that they don't understand, and they probably used what they said..."

Perhaps so, so much so that I can only say, that magical thing about Kyou was heterogeneous.

At least I never saw Lulu or Illis.

From a closer distance, I might have grabbed some thread, but I don't know what I can tell by crossing the line and the distance between the audience and the stage.

That degree of understanding was the limit.

"Hmm...... well, that's okay. For those who fight, it is definitely better to get less exposure in their hands. You won't respond to me when I ask you what sorcery you used on a girl named Kyou. Anything that exposes itself to all of its hand tags in a martial arts tournament is diminishing as strength grows. It would be like that."

That's what Patrick nodded.

But there, in a small voice, Ricole said.

"That one surprised me"

To the word, Lulu asks tilting his neck.

"Ricole was also watching Kyou's game?

The gray-haired girl blinked her blue eyes and snorted,

"Yeah. Me, that one, suki"

So again, I started drinking tea.

I also eat sweets often, around replacing both, kind of reminiscent of some girl.

Maybe Kyou and this girl fit in, I thought.

Then Patrick chatted for a while and stood up saying that it might hinder tomorrow's assignment if it wasn't time to go back.

Everything. He needs Patrick to lead a team tomorrow to help with the security knight business.

"I don't know how to serve the palace."

With that said, Patrick seemed happy to get a specially blended somnolence tea from Illis, whilst lamenting that he had to wake up early tomorrow morning.

"Then I'll be back. And the daughter - nice to meet you too about Ricole. I'm really sorry I seem to push you. I got some tea today, and I just got something to do... and I'll be sure to thank you next time."

That's why I went back to the Knights' quarters.

Ricole seemed oddly nostalgic for Patrick like that, dropping him off until he got out of the house, waving,

"Bubba."

He said and smiled.

That's the only way I can tell that she's kind of a girl with an overall strange vibe, but her nature is probably something warm.

It was pathetic for a girl like this to be lost all the time, praying that she would be picked up soon if she could, and back in the house.

Kyou returned only after indicating that it was quite late, but still at midnight, not so much in time.

He said he was quick to give it back to me because he felt like letting Kyou and Fuuka work until midnight when Chiffon had him come temporary, and there would be a game tomorrow.

But still, imagining the busyness of the tavern having to call one and one, I get worried that it's going to be okay.

Kyou is also very worried about that,

"Am I glad to be back...?

He said.

But look at Ricole.

"Ha, ha, what is it, this pretty girl! Give Me A Gift!?

and other strange things, and then we started playing and talking all the time together, and now we're totally friends.

Eventually, the bedroom was going to be together, and Kyou and Ricole said, "Good night," and headed to the same room.

Is this the end of the day when all sorts of things happened?

With that in mind, Lulu also gives a bedtime greeting to Illis and heads to his room.

He slept thinking about the sick girl, trying to be sure to win tomorrow, wrapped in a soft blanket on the bed.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

When it comes to the work of the Demon King, it's intense duty.

I could say that I'm busy as hell every day, and I didn't often wonder why I had to play this role.

But I was also proud to say that this was my role and that I was the only thing I could do.

So Demon King Lulslia-Nord was able to live perfectly, even in such busy days, without ever rotting.

That said, it's not like I want to go back occasionally.

It's not like I go back all day, just for a few dozen minutes, no, even if I do for a few hours, I often leave the office and go out and play by the name of an inspection, thinking that someone will manage to connect me instead.

That day was precisely the day on which the whim of the Demon King, who said so, worked.

The place to head was undecided, in particular.

However, I know that if you go too far with the Demon King, you will be worried in a different way.

Just skipping "Demon King struck out!?" or "The Demon King has been kidnapped!?" and so on, I get in trouble, and later, I'm going to feel terribly ashamed.

There's no reason for that, but if you start hearing voices like that, how many faces don't you eat, and you say, "Uh, me, I'm staying here, okay? I thought so, trying to wander around the neighborhood so that I could leave with the face I said.

There are not many places best suited to such demon king demand in the vast Demon King Castle, and today we decided to head to one of them, the Mutos institute.

An old man with a suspicious atmosphere appeared to be busy working in a room where a number of tubes and unsure magic guidance machines were kept narrow.

Several assistants and a few demons wrapped in white clothes, and the old man, Mutos, has given them detailed instructions.

In the meantime, when Mutos and his assistants noticed their master demon king, who suddenly appeared, they bowed their heads with humility,

"Come to such a nasty place..."

And, trying to start saying a hard hello, the Demon King offers his palms in front of him to stop.

The treatment that I said was sufficient only in an official setting, and on this occasion, the Demon King had something to worry about, because he wanted to ask questions about it quickly but wanted to put greetings and other things behind him.

"Good... more than that, what is this?

Hiraki, and the demon king stares at it and asks Mutos.

The assistants in white are probably holding back because they recognize that they are not in such a position to exchange words directly with the Demon King.

I don't remember making such a decision as the Demon King, but he doesn't realize that the magic and intimidation that naturally erupts from the Demon King naturally makes his assistants naturally behave that way.

Mutos is fine because he is the magician of the Demon King and he himself is a magician with mighty magic.

With a voice that does not dwell on any tension, Mutos speaks in a gracious tone as he strokes his long white jaw.

The Demon King and before Mutos was a cylindrical glass tube into which each person entered.

Inside, you can see a light green liquid that emits light, and a girl, and a naked creature.

The top and bottom of the glass tube were fitted with a demon-conducting machine with a complex mechanism that could be seen to manage the girl in some way.

"This way, is it? This is an artificial life form (homunculus)."

To the words of Muthos, the Demon King leaned his neck,

"... it's not like an automatic doll (golem)?

Mutos shook his head at the words,

"No… because automatic dolls (golems) do not have souls… artificial life forms (homunculus) are defined as beings that create everything in the hands of men, but also have souls"

The Demon King marvels at the words of Mutos.

soul, there exists what is said, it has not been proven that

It is the faith of the Devil Nation and what everyone believes, but this is how we shouldn't have come to the point where we can reproduce it using the Devil's Conducting Machine.

Mutos laughed and said that he had crushed the feelings of such a demon king.

"Of course, I don't make souls... I can't even observe them. I just thought I'd give it a shot. We have a lot of problems, but we are confident that the artificial life forms (homunculus) here will have a soul."

I mean, it's not a job, it's a hobby.

I like it, but it is certainly a study that attracts the strong interest of the Demons.

With the Demon King, I didn't want to stop it.

I have budget problems, but well enough to think of something to do.

But there were doubts.

Assuming the artificial life form (homunculus) and their operation, the question arises as to whether or not the soul will be present.

So the Demon King asks Mutos.

"But how do you tell that? The presence or absence of souls, etc. …"

That should be the big problem.

Even if this artificial life form (homunculus) acts autonomously, it cannot be said that the soul resides in it, etc., than it can create an automatic doll (golem) that acts autonomously.

Mutos also seemed to feel a lot of problems there, frowning a little, but said in a voice that stood back.

"Now... may I acknowledge the presence of my soul when I rebel against the Lord of Creation?"

Indeed, that cannot be done by automatic dolls (golems).

They move faithfully to orders.

You can't go against it.

Except, of course, if you had ordered me to defy you from the beginning, but you would be able to tell as much as if I had been ordered to defy you or not.

The Demon King nods convincingly at the words of Mutos.

"So let's look forward to the day"

Mutos is:

"Thank you. I'm happy.... Well, Your Majesty the Demon King. Why don't you get back to work? The voice of the Kingsguard has been echoing in the castle since earlier."

Apparently, everything seemed promising to him.

The Demon King nodded to his former educator and then returned to his place of work.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

I opened my eyes to my dreams when I was nostalgic.

Then, surprisingly, before his eyes, he had white hair shining in the light of the moon at night and pale eyes.

"... Ricole?

As Lulu leaned her neck, she said.

"Did you see Yume?

Did you think so because you were asleep?

Lulu nods.

"Oh... old dreams"

"Oh well. Yume, I don't know."

"A hunch? Of what?

"I'm sure it will come..."

I asked, and Ricole didn't answer.

Then Lulu closes his eyelids as he suddenly becomes sleepy as to why.

Drowsiness, I can't resist.

Then, waking up all the time, the sunlight was plugged in through the window.

"... a dream, huh?

Lulu tilted his neck.

After a while of blurring, I heard a knock in the room and a voice from Illis.

"Brother, it's time for you to wake up..."

Lulu woke up convincingly to the word, indeed.

By then, both the contents of the dream and Ricole had disappeared from Lulu's head.

A new day begins.

Only that feeling was beating in my chest.
