Yomigaeri no Maou

Episode 141: Recommendations and Explanations

Lulu and Ortes, plus two Rigadora and one finished shopping early.

Neither of us is originally the type to prefer window shopping.

Lulu would say he can stick to it for hours if it's a magic store, but as long as he has the money, he could put the product in the basket from next to next.

That's not very much, but window shopping, and it doesn't make sense to buy so many things in the first place.

It's just that collector habits work that just want to collect magic equipment that hasn't been there in the past.

Lulu understands himself like that, and again Ortes is just hanging out with Lulu shopping, so Lulu,

"... the women are going to be here for a while, and I'm going to go home first, okay?

I nodded especially without hesitation when I said.

Both Lulu and Ortes have the goods they bought when they were walking in the market with the women earlier.

They both work out enough to say that simple arm strength can never be beaten by a guy there, but still walking around hanging a lot of luggage is physically fine but mentally exhausting.

Simply put, it stinks.

So Lulu's suggestion was a boat across for Ortes.

The place to head, of course, is Lulu's house in relation to luggage.

Ortes tells Lulu.

"No problem. If those three seem to take too long, tell them to leave first."

"Okay. Then we're going..."

With that said, there was an outdoor shop ahead where Lulu did his eyes all the time.

That seems to be a store dominated by the sale of firearms, Lulu said to look at it and remember.

"Speaking of which... you promised Ortez you'd make him some weapons"

Said, Ortes does recall making such a promise before.

However, it should have been about paying for what I had to, not just what I promised then.

As a result of the complete healing of Krall's demonization disease, I'm sure Ortes can afford it financially from now on, but so far, his savings are equal to zero.

Enchanted engraved weapons, such as magic fixtures, tend to be more and more price-fishing in proportion to their performance compared to common ones.

Since the production is an item that takes a lot more effort, time and material costs than regular armaments, that's natural in a way, but we can't afford to pay Lulu for it now, even if we can say the cost is your friend's price, to Ortes, who is almost totally close to teasing.

That's why Ortes says as he walks.

"... Thankfully, it's just a little later to order, okay? Hey now..."

Lulu tilted his neck at Ortez, who had no money, cut the word without saying it until.

"Is there a problem?

Lulu's expression looks really strange and apparently he's not able to speculate on the circumstances of Ortes.

I thought so, Ortes tells me he has no choice but to be honest right now.

"I have... until now, I have lived a long time with the cost of treatment and the cost of living. I still have to pay my debts... and I can't afford to order magic equipment. The crawl has healed, and the arsenal I'm using is still usable... I think I'll save money in six months, so why don't you let me ask you again then?

Lulu glanced at Ortes for a moment as if he had been poked by that word, then nodded to convince him.

And after a little thought, Lulu has made one, a suggestion.

"No, I don't need money... or anything like that, so you say no, Ortes is"

Ortez frowned around the corner I was about to say, so that pulled in early and moved on to the next suggestion, Lulu.

"It's not, it is. First of all, it's about firearms, but let me make them first. It's gonna take a lot of time to make, so we should order faster, right?

"But then..."

I can't pay, Lulu goes on where I almost said.

"I don't mind if it's not bulk. Sometimes it's okay to pay in instalments."

It was a serious concession as a seller of things.

But if Lulu, it is a word that is likely to be said.

I just shook my head at the words because I didn't think Ortes could be any sweeter, either.

"You can't be so annoying..."

But Lulu went further.

"No. Nothing. I'm not trying to tell you I'm gonna sell you a favor. Instead of... selling in instalments, I'd like you to help me out a little bit."

Ortes heard it and thought, oh, no.

Because I felt it was unusual for Lulu to announce the terms of exchange.

And maybe I should.

If Ortez helps Lulu and rewards him for something instead, it's a common contract.

Of course, without any reward, Ortes is not willing to spare Lulu any cooperation, but Lulu is also not the type to just think about getting people to do something.

Considering that, it was not a bad consultation to take the form of a contract in order to make it easier for each other to ask for something.

"What kind of cooperation? Of course, as far as I'm concerned, Lulu, I intend to be proactive in my cooperation with you..."

Lulu smiles at such Ortes words.

"Whoa. Don't cheap on me even though I haven't heard what you're talking about yet. What are you gonna do if all of a sudden you come up with some unfair terms or something?

Say that.

But Ortez didn't even make such a joke.

"Whatever unfair terms you give me, I'm sure I'll snort. Whatever, Claire... she saved my sister. You owe me a debt of gratitude... well, of course, I don't want to die as much as I can, so I'm glad you're willing to shy away from that kind of condition as you can, huh?

The last one was Ortes, who spoke in a joking tone with his shoulders flattered, but Lulu could understand just by looking into his eyes that what he spoke was never a lie, a joke, and an unmistakable seriousness.

Because if this man meant it, he only had eyes that seemed to him so.

In the past, there have been soldiers and others who were about to make a decisive assault with these eyes, but you can't let Ortes make the same choice even though you don't even need them like that.

Lulu shook his head,

"Of course... all I ask of Ortes is normal cooperation. Well... not likely to be life-threatening in some cases... or...?

Talking, Lulu has gradually become suspiciously toned.

It is Ortes who, listening to it, has become somewhat anxious, albeit prepared.

"... uh, let me ask you something, you're not gonna die or anything, are you?

Lulu asks the question, thinks a little and then answers it with a face that seems difficult.

"Right. To death... don't you? Probably... but hey... ah!

"Ah?"

"No, no, it's okay, it's okay. You won't have to worry about it. Maybe this kind of personality or crooked or horns growing out of my head, but to that extent... bumps..."

Ortes shook his head to try to shake his hand and then decide not to listen to it, although he felt like he had heard a dialogue that he should not have listened to then.

He's the one who thought he could pay for his life once.

Whatever happened, I was so prepared that I had no choice but to entrust myself to this.

"... don't resent me for being a frog or something, okay?

Looking back, Lulu said so, and chasing the shittiness and walking out, Ortes prayed.

"... God. Please, don't take my life for a while now..."

and.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

"After all, what is that crystal so awesome!?

That's what Kyou asked Iris as he sipped tea while eating a cake on the sprinkled cafe terrace at the edge of the market.

Iris quietly mouths the cup placed in front of him, then takes out the crystal and says:

"This is a magic machine."

Incidentally, he said those words as if he had said nothing, so Krell and Kyou are surprised and open their eyes.

Because we both knew that the Magic Instruction Machine, when it comes to general perception, is an advanced tool that cannot be reached by modern technology created by someone far in the past, and that its value can be a tremendous amount in monetary terms.

And there's no way that such a thing is sold with a jerk in an outdoor shop like the one the unscrupulous man in the corner of the market does.

But in fact, the two of them are watching that palm-sized stick crystal held by Illis turn into a beautiful sword, and they are also witnessing it beaten by a firmly and magically fortified dagger.

It was hard to think that Illis was lying.

But still, I can't help but be half-hearted.

"... how do you know that about a magic conductor machine...?

When Krall uttered the fundamental question, Iris answered.

"My brother-in-law (who has been here for a long time) and I have been interested in the Magic Instruction Machine... I have someone who knows more about Magic Instruction Machine and has been studying it, just to tell someone I know who is Yumis. So I am proud to say that I am much more familiar with magic guidance machines than the average person."

In that dialogue, Krall recalled that his brother had said that he was an armed magician about Lulu.

Magic fixtures are what can be described as a degraded version of the Magic Instruction Machine, and the Magic Artisan studies the Magic Instruction Machine to raise its arm and tries to figure out its rationale.

It is inevitable that Lulu, such a magician, will learn more about the magic guiding machine, and there is nothing strange about his sister, Iris, even if she is.

Besides, it is also a well-known fact in the Wang capital that Yumis has an aspect as a scholar who specializes in the civilization of the past, in which it is not surprising to have insights into the magic guiding machinery.

There was nothing strange about the fact that the two promising newcomers in her family (clan) had deep insights into the Magic Conducting Machine.

Think that far. Claire nodded and said.

"I see... so do you mean you heard that crystal somewhere, or learned it in books, materials, etc..."

Iris nods at Krall's question.

"Yeah. That's the place. I have seen this before (...) so at a glance I found this to be a magic guide machine. It's not that hard to use. When you pour magic in a certain direction, this changes shape… for example…"

That being said, Illis poured his magic into the crystal in his hand.

Then, as I showed you earlier, it changes to the shape of a sword.

Now the change was slow because it was not particularly hasty, and it was possible to observe that the bar crystal stretched its shape flat and turned into a sword that seemed to have a good cut.

And some time later, just like earlier, a clear crystal sword had appeared there.

Too beautiful, a work of art stained. That's probably low in intensity in inverse proportion to beauty, Krall and Kyou thought, but they understood what the two of them were trying to say with such a gaze, says Iris.

"It's surprisingly sturdy, this. Unlike normal crystals, there are a number of engravings of strength enhancement engraved…. And it's not just the sword that uses this."

With that said, when Illis poured out his magic again, the crystal changed shape again, and by the time he realized it, there was a clear shield there as well.

I feel that such a thing is needed in England, which is capable of formidable bonding, but if I were to say it, he is the one who can crush the rock with his fist in the first place.

Having a sword would almost be a hobby or intimidation, too.

Given that, can I say it's the same thing as a shield?

In addition, Illis changed the shape of many of its crystals, and said at the end.

"I mean, this is a convenient commodity. Convenient item that changes to various shapes remembered and doesn't take a lot of volume. And they're pretty tough, and they can be used for a long time."

Apart from the sword, the crystal changed to everything: tables, daggers, cups and pans.

In fact, it is clear that with this one, the possessions of the journey will be greatly reduced.

I wanted myself if I could, both Krall and Kyou thought, but when I understood the gaze of those two people, Illis says at the next moment.

"... I won't give it to you, will I?

Illis with the likelihood of giving anything away, but it can't seem to give way to boulders.

But then I added just a few words.

"If you find the same thing somewhere, I'll get it, so be patient"
