Yomigaeri no Maou

Episode 187: Strange People

There was a terrible and tragic sight in the place where the four Zoes arrived.

There seems to be no one who has lost his life, but the majority of those who have suffered such fatal injuries as are close to it.

Roughly ten adventurers have lost limbs, suffered deep, choosy wounds, and groaned.

"... terrible..."

That's how Sarah squeaks as she holds her own mouth with her hands holding those sneaky fingers.

In front of her like that, Brasco stands guarded by a sword.

Zoë and Ilis are natural, unproductive, but that was a sign of vigilance to be able to move out at any time, and it was never meant to be proof of defenselessness.

"I wonder what happened? There doesn't seem to be anything right now..."

He approaches and looks at one adventurer man who is groaning bitterly as Zoe falls down with such a grunt.

He breathes painfully, but seems barely conscious, which would rather be a harder condition than fainting.

I'll kill you in this case, because it's one choice, but Zoe's not going to do that.

Because I recognize there's more we can do than not be dead.

Regardless of what happens in the future as an adventurer, you can recover to the point where you have no problems living your daily life.

It is also possible to regenerate the missing limbs with witchcraft as a demonic tribe, but in doing so it is possible to be said that they have taken the work of the high healers, so for now I decided to look at Iris and let him recover as much as is necessary to sustain his life.

Then, he manages to talk to that adventurer - a middle-aged man.

"What happened?

That question was too succinct, but the man is also an adventurer.

It seemed I understood immediately what I wanted to hear, and this one answered concisely again.

"... enemies... probably not demons... people, they were... just had demons too... oohhh... guh..."

Spitting blood, that's all I'm saying. The man loses consciousness.

It could be said that although the word count was small, the general thing was understandable.

Zoe looks back to the three of them and says:

"The enemy seems to be a man. You're in trouble."

Instead, Brasco and Sarah looked in trouble at Zoe, who said that even though it didn't seem like an atmosphere of trouble at all.

Ilis is sighing, but that's not about Zoe's thoughts and attitudes, because he thinks there's no wonder people do things like this one, and if it is, he thinks it's a total joke, because he knows better to say how spicy people are, especially people (human beings).

But even such an Illis understood that there was information from an earlier man's story that should lead him to the conclusion that it would be difficult to consider it a human (human) work on a boulder.

"I was carrying a demon, you're worried about the story. Are people (human beings) capable of serving demons that can easily slaughter nearly ten intermediate or higher adventurers?

Iris asks Brasco and Sarah that.

Brasco thought a little about the words before answering.

"You can't. But... why would the same people (humans) attack us? I can't believe why you do that in these woods..."

Sarah frowns and says to Brasco like that.

"It's not surprising. If the cause of this mountain anomaly is the work of the man, there's a good reason and meaning to attack the adventurer."

Sure, that's right, Zoe and Illis were talking with that possibility in mind.

But Brasco didn't even seem to think about that, he opens his eyes and says.

"Say what!? That's why I'm trying to get weird on this mountain..."

That was like saying you wanted me to deny my words, but Sarah was calm.

"If something goes wrong with the Logsuela Mountains, the Kingdom of Leonard will be followed in its response. Regardless of the degree of activation of some demons, that would be the big problem if the whole forest demons were to head to the finals and go beyond even more. So... maybe it would be convenient for other countries. For example, for countries like Leonard, who are targeting tigers to invade them."

This Sarah's opinion sounded extremely legitimate to Zoe and Illis.

Because I sincerely thought it was something that people (humans) were going to do.

In fact, in that world where Lulu, the Demon King, had disappeared in the past, such deception was practised day and night between the nations of the people (human beings).

Even today, it is only a story that says that there is no difference in the substance of the human race (human).

"If that's the case, someone is after this country. Well, I'm not sure if you just want to destroy me or invade me, but at least I know they're trying to annoy me."

When Zoe said so, Illis nodded, too,

"Exactly. Just so you know, there won't be a big difference in what we should be doing... but it won't change crusading the demons that came later - perhaps the demons that some of them were conducting. But..."

I stopped talking along the way and saw the falling adventurers.

"Whether the investigation and crusade can continue in this manner…"

To that word, all four of us will have a difficult face.

There's nothing wrong with the four of them because they're intact, but there's damage done to around ten adventurers, and most of them are seriously injured.

Does this mean that, by and large, less than 20% of the personnel in this investigation and crusade are harmed, and given that, it is difficult to continue as such?

For a little while, as we gathered scattered and falling adventurers in one place for now to guard our surroundings, the adventurers gradually gathered out.

I heard him asking for backup before he fell, and he must have come.

It may have only taken a little while to either be in a distant position or we were fighting demons ourselves.

Then came a senior senior adventurer man positioned as a leader in this group and asked what had happened.

"... this guy... dude"

A man who sees the wounds of the falling adventurers, frowns and asks Zoe to explain.

Zoe scratched and explained the situation, again stating what the unconscious man had just explained.

Don't talk about speculation in particular.

Because I thought it might be extra, and that if we were in a different position, we might see things differently and come to other conclusions.

But the man has nothing to say in particular on that point, and begins to talk about what the crusaders will do in the future.

"I got the story. We can't just let these guys die... and all the time this guy will even be in danger of returning on his own, and we'll have to all go back if we think about the guy to bear and the guy to protect him... you too, okay?

It's a quick decision, but it's not a situation where you're likely to come up with a good idea just because you think about it.

For once, we have obtained information that we can call an achievement, and there will be parts where we should go back and have it accurately communicated, protecting the lives of those who actually encounter it.

The man tilted his neck in such a face that it was okay with Zoe.

That's confirmation because Zoe understands that she is a premier adventurer.

While there is a superior adventurer who says Zoe, he is the leader of this group even though the man is only superior, because he is an adventurer in the Final Land, and because of the steadfastness with which he has achieved a clear track record was appreciated.

On the contrary, Zoe was not familiar with the neighborhood, and there was something very suspicious about its track record, which would mean that it was difficult to push the leader as a Union of Final Adventurers (Guild).

There is no particular dissatisfaction with the other adventurers, as Zoe thinks it is doubtful that they have followed a woman on the leader who has never seen or heard of her, even though she is a superior.

But this leader guy admits more than a certain thing about Zoe, and that's why, for once, he's putting in confirmation.

That's because this guy was watching Zoe fight Ivan.

It is what the man himself told Zoe directly.

He learned to admire and respect the skill he saw there, and its strength.

That's why men stand up for zoe.

But as for Zoe, I don't need that kind of confirmation.

"You don't have to ask me, you're the leader. I will obey."

To put it briefly, the man nodded,

"Oh well... wally"

I told the adventurers gathered on the spot about my plans for the future.

Some of the adventurers who were told they were going back to the city looked disgruntled, but that was until they saw how the adventurers were hurting and falling.

No one could dispute that judgment after seeing them severely wounded in horror.

The part that much of this investigation and crusade is made up of adventurers of the Final Land would also have worked.

He couldn't tell me he was leaving behind, even though a colleague he'd been fighting with in the finals all along said he was wandering the frontier of life and death.

"... it would seem faster to investigate just us."

Iris squeaks blush,

"That might be true too... but there seems to be a lot of confusion. We can't handle things like that. I just wanted to leave it to Claude and Moitz."

Zoe says.

Thus, the moment the adventurers turned their heels back to return to the finals as they were, a giant blade of wind with the roar overwhelmed the surrounding trees.

"What!? What happened!?

"An enemy!?

The adventurers stood with their weapons as they said, but by then Zoe and Illis had already caught sight of the Lord of that attack.

"... Sure, people, it seems"

When Illis says, Zoe nods too.

"Except for the strange feathers growing. Spring...... Was there such a guy in the Beast Clan (Animazeas)?

Its presence, captured by Zoe's eyes, is clearly in the shape of a person, a youth-style figure wearing something like a butler's clothing, but from its back a bat-like wing peeks.

Moreover, the texture of its wings looks more inorganic than organic, more like stones and rocks.

"The Stone Beast Clan (Animazeas)...... there is no way. But if so, what the hell..."

The two of us were in a relaxing conversation, but if we looked around again, we seemed to be in quite a panic.

I stand firm because I'm quite a veteran adventurer on the boulder, and I'm wary of my surroundings, but the speed of that batwing youth is fast and unresponsive.

Plus, if you look closely......,

"I'm not alone. There's one over there too... oh, there's one over there too..."

"You always look strange..."

As Zoe replied, one of the others looks like a girl around the age of ten, with wings on her back, and if that's all she sees, she looks like an eagle (Nets) beast tribe (Animazeas), but the trouble is that her head has a pair of disastrous horns, and the other middle-aged man somehow has tails and short horns like an ox (Bacal) beast tribe (Animazeas), even though she only looks like the first giant (Cyclops).

"Mr. Zoe, Mr. Iris! What's going on!?

That's what Brasco shouts, but he doesn't even seem to have time to explain it.

Zoe shouts only what Brasco should do for now.

"Enemy! You have to protect Sarah!... Illis!

Then I looked at Iris and I broke up with each other to separate demons.

Before leaving, Illis then brings the line to the adventurers who are hurting and falling.

Then Iris turned to one of the three odd ones, a girl with the appearance of an eagle (Nets) beast tribe (Animazeas).

That girl with her hair tied in two and flying around endlessly.

It is heinous to keep moving with a small blade of wind out of your hand.

"... it stops!

When Illis yelled that way, the girl replied with a laugh.

"No one stops when they say so. Yikes!!

And then he turned his hands toward Illis, far more gigantic than what he was releasing to the adventurers, which is what formed and unleashed the wind blade that was just disputed with the tornado.

"... you're a poorly listened child. Then we have an idea."

With that said, Illis put up his hand, relative to the tornado.
