Zero no ambassador: my harem

Zero Demon Envoy's My Harem Chapter 92

After Hao Tian spent a leisurely time in the academy, Albion launched an invasion war against Torristine as scheduled.

Albion is a floating nation, and you can't drive your army to the main continent without floating ships and ports. With this invasion, it was clear that Torristine would not open the harbor for Albion's army to land, so Albion's army had to make a forced landing in the wilderness.

The massive thirty to forty roughly built floating ships carrying the twenty thousand Albion army from the floating island of Albion forced a landing and crashed to the ground as they approached Torristine. The impact was so great that the makeshift hastily made float ship disintegrated and the soldiers inside the hull fell, but the vast majority of the soldiers survived.

Because of the loss of port traction due to the course and air currents, thirty to forty ships crashed into different locations outside the city of La Rochelle, hundreds and thousands of meters apart, each with five to six hundred soldiers on board, one by one, standing up from the crash site and gathering together.

The Albion soldiers were gathered close together according to each ship's fall site, a few counting the wounded and fallen, a few sent out as scouts to find nearby friendly troops, and most staying put.

La Rochelle, a port city that the former [Earth Quartet] magician La Rochelle had spent decades using earth magic to build on a mountain, was high, open and easily defended. Torristine's defensive forces could clearly see the landing of the Albion army from the top of the mountain.

Before the Albion army was all gathered together, the commander of the defenders, the Lord of La Rochelle, and [Earth Triangle Rank] magician Angel Rochelle gathered his elite 2,000 soldiers, opened the gates to take the initiative and attacked first.

Having seen the general distribution of Albion's army from the top of the hill, Angel led the army to cut to the northwest corner of a plain where only five small groups of enemy troops were distributed. A number of two thousand elites with lances and long swords and knives held high charged down the mountain path, raising dust in a waving manner.

The first Albion army to meet the enemy saw the smoke and dust from a distance, and the shouts of death grew louder.

In a moment more, the Torristine army was already approaching, and the killing spirit was widespread.

The four mages led by Angel were the first to seize the enemy, using [Rock Gun] magic continuously under Angel's leadership.

"Haru Urs Xiu." [Rock Lance]

A meter-long rock spear continuously rose up under the feet of the Albion army, and only a dozen or so unfortunate people were pierced by the rock spear and died miserably on the spot. The remaining thirty or forty were only grazed with some flesh wounds. But the power of magic made the ordinary soldiers afraid of the rock spears that might appear from the soles of their feet, and they scattered in panic.

Then the Torristine army plunged like steel into the small regiment of crumbling Albion troops, swords swinging, spears thrusting, and blood splattering everywhere. Many of the Albion soldiers were sliced in the back as they fled.

Some of the soldiers, less battle-minded and thinking they couldn't escape, dropped their weapons and shouted, "I surrender, don't kill me." There were one, then two, then a group, dozens and hundreds of them dropping their weapons and throwing up their hands to surrender.

"We don't have time to take prisoners, kill them all!" Angel was cold.

The soldiers executed in silence, killing the Albion soldier who had dropped his weapon.

"Don't stop, keep charging me." After defeating the group, Angel drove unabated, leading his troops north to attack the next group of Albion troops.

The magic was first, the elite troops broke in then slaughtered.

After four rounds of attack, Angel and the other mages consumed clean of magic, and the potion to restore it did not take effect as quickly. The Torristine army that had rushed in four times was also a bit tired, the elite had killed the same number of enemies before and they only had less than a hundred casualties.

Angel, who was still trying to wipe out the last of the enemies in the area in one fell swoop, was pulled back by his own troops and looked towards the city.

Several fireballs were shooting into the sky exploding overhead one after another. It was the remaining troops telling him to retreat.

Angel looked at the 500 to 600 Albion troops gathered in a group not far away, and at the tired wizards and soldiers behind him. After a slight hesitation, he made his decision, "We, retreat!" Turning his horse around, Angel retreated slowly back with his tired army, returning to La Rochelle from the trail up the mountain.

Returning to the top of the hill, Angel could see that Albion's army had gathered into three concentrated blocks, and not far from the five or six hundred men there was a group of about five thousand troops, if Angel continued to charge it would obviously be surrounded by several times the number of enemy troops and suffer heavy losses. The five or six hundred men were just bait, but fortunately they didn't bite.

After Angel's retreat, the 5,000 numbered army absorbed the 500 to 600 troops.

There was also a regiment of five thousand numbered troops in the southeast of the plain, and a large army of eight thousand numbered troops in the middle of the plain. The three armies were more than ten miles apart and would not converge for a while.

All three strands of Albion's army were stationed on the spot and arranged soldiers to patrol back and forth. There shouldn't be any chance of bringing the army to the camp to get another handful of troops. On La Rochelle's part, he arranged soldiers to pay attention to the movements of the three strands of troops and had no intention of attacking again.

And so, the first day of the skirmish passed.

Albion fell over three hundred dead and two thousand wounded in the rough landing; about two thousand died in the storming of the Torristine army, and no one was taken prisoner. Only a hundred soldiers died on the Torristine side.

And in the Academy of Magic outside the Torristine capital, far from the war, the boys had almost all joined the army, and the classes were deserted. The girls were also preoccupied with the war that had taken place in La Rochelle, and some were worried about their boyfriends who had joined the army.

Not many boys remained, Hao Tian and Willus. After the civil war in Albion, Willus stayed at the Academy of Magic as a distant relative of Hao Tian to study with the Ottoman schoolmaster. This war of aggression waged by Albion could not allow Willus to go to war. On the one hand, Willus' status was noble, and on the other hand, Willus' status was sensitive.

But Anrietta wouldn't let Willus go to the battlefield, and Willus found Hao Tian.

"The civil war in Albion has just ended, and the people haven't adjusted to the rule of the rebels. Holding on to the Albion and Torristine war, with an empty interior, I can turn the tide if I quietly return to Albion and gather the forces still loyal to the royal family." Willus looked at Hao Tian with burning eyes.

"I want you to help me, Hao Tian."

Hao Tian frowned slightly. "Anrietta won't let you take any chances."

"I know. But to just live out my life in peace under her protection, carrying a great revenge for the death of my country without taking revenge, I can't bear it. I know that Gelfin-sensei had a deal with you, and I want to use that request here."

Willus was sincere and earnest, his eyes a burning rage of vengeance.

Ah, no more, Willus couldn't listen to anyone else's words anymore, hatred clouding his eyes.

"In that case, all right. I'll come with you, when do we leave?"

"Just for today, I'm ready to go."

"Give me a moment, I'll leave a letter for Louise and the others."

"And please make sure you don't reveal our whereabouts, this needs to be hidden."

"Got it, I'll keep it a secret."

Dear Louise, Tabatha, and Churrok, I have to go out on an urgent errand, so please take my leave of Anrietta for me. And, I'll be back, after this war is over. Love to you all Ho-ten.

Crushing the letter under the candlestick, Hao Tian and Wyrus quietly left the magic academy.

Chapter 6 - La Rochelle Attack and Defense 2 Mountain Road Meat Grinder

The next day, the Albion army woke up, took up arms in armor, used dry food and water, and the three sections of the Albion army began to attack La Rochelle. Led by their respective commanders, the three sections of the army drafted La Rochelle close to the mountain, maintained their array, then reached the base of the mountain and began climbing along the winding, narrow trail.

La Rochelle was a port city and relied on floating ships for the transport of supplies to and from the city, so the narrow and rugged mountain road did not affect prosperity. On the other hand, the narrow mountain road became a natural barrier for La Rochelle, and along the way, they set up rockfall and other institutions and built fortifications at key passes, arming La Rochelle like a hedgehog, and no matter which mountain road they attacked from, they would encounter stubborn resistance.

Observing the movements from the top of the mountain, Angerer divided the 8,000 defenders into three parts, 2,000, 2,500, and 3,500, to face an enemy force numbering 5,000, 5,500, and 8,000. Angier personally commanded the 3,500 defenders to face the 8,000 enemy troops, while the other two parts were given to two generals to command.

It had been ten minutes since Albion's army had ascended the mountain road, and the Torristine defenders had removed the supports underneath the boulders, and a five or six meter diameter ball of rock fell from the sides of the road, grunting and rumbling downward with crushing momentum.

Feeling the ground shake, the Albion army became alert, and in command, all the soldiers halted their advance, clinging to the road wall, as far as the eye could see, like ants to bread coated with honey.

"Rumble" boulders rolling, purely in terms of destructive power has surpassed the second level of magic, close to the third level of magic such as [Inferno] [Depth Bomb] [Wind Eye], but no magician control can only simply and rudely roll down.

The Albion Army looked at the boulders that were pressing in, fear in their eyes.

The boulder was slightly narrower than the mountain path, leaving a gap of one or two more people, and if the size was just right, they would be stuck and unable to roll down. So the boulders rumbled and ran over the mountain path one after the other as if it was a matter of probability, there would always be soldiers who were unlucky enough to be crushed and those who happened to avoid the boulders during the boulder bumps.

La Rochelle accumulated dozens of rounds of boulders rolling over one after another, and the soldiers who were crushed screamed, most of them died tragically on the spot, and those who didn't break were also half of their bodies deflated, with the appearance of more air in and less air out.

"Ahhhhh," "rumble,"

With a mixture of screams and rolling boulders, the Albion army struggled through the boulder assault.

Clearing the bodies and regrouping, all three Albion armies lost hundreds, if not thousands, of troops in the boulder attack

. The soldiers' eyes were filled with sadness and anger, and they held back their anger to pour it out on the enemy.

Moving on, Albion's army soon encountered the fortress again.
