Zero no ambassador: my harem

Zero Demon Envoy's My Harem Chapter 141

"Alas, Anrietta she, we are only cousins, not what you think."

"Anyway, Albion couldn't take a single soldier. A protest to Goliath to make a stand would have sufficed."

"All right. Goliath will never exterminate Torristine, who is also the first ancestor to pass down the country, so it would be good if Albion recovered and helped Torristine more in the future."

"You did the right thing, Your Highness. Now, these documents need your signature and seal."

"Lots of them, another day in the library."

"I've taken care of most of that already, so don't complain, Your Highness."

"Got it, got it. After all, Albion is our country."

"Yes, Your Highness, it's our country."

A day later, Albion's diplomats in Goliath's capital were informed of the news at home, and protested forcefully, expressed their strong dissatisfaction, and demanded that Goliath stop its aggression against Torristine.

Goria, for its part, ignored it, and the army was mobilized for the expedition as originally planned.

Romania was located southwest of Goria and was not adjacent to any other country. Facing the continental power Goria, Romania was under tremendous pressure. Although its population was only 300,000 and its land area was less than half of Torristine, it had developed 20,000 Knights of the Patriarchate and 10,000 Water City Guards, plus 100,000 believers in half-service status, and barely managed to maintain its territorial integrity and sovereignty unity under Goria's pressure.

After receiving the news that Goria had declared war on Torristine, the Pope summoned the cardinals to urgently consult on how to respond. Romania, as a religious state of faith in the patriarchs, has been acting like an ambassador of peace, coordinating the Goliath-Celmania conflict, coordinating the Torristine-Albion war, and maintaining the continent's fragile peace.

Neither the Pope nor the Cardinals wanted the Goliath-Torristine war to begin, and immediately after agreeing to it, they sent a papal envoy to Goliath and Torristine to mediate. Julio, however, was snubbed in Goria, and Goria's determination to start the war was greater than Romania could have imagined.

The Pope had only to initiate another plan, which was to make preparations for war. Perhaps a navy would be used to transport troops south and west around the Golic land and land from the west coast of Torristine to assist Torristine against the mighty Golic. But to float such a great cost, the Pope demanded that greater benefits must be obtained, command of the joint war between the two nations, a change in Torristine's policy toward religion after the repulsion of Goliath, and so on.

Anrietta refused to surrender her command, and the Pope allowed Julio to continue his mission to Kelmania. It was hoped that Kelmania would send troops against Goliath and maintain stability on the continent. Kelmania believed in the fire elves and had extremely poor relations with Romania, and Julio was driven away after seeing only Princess Alice.

As for Albion, the Pope was aware of Albion's current situation, so he didn't send Julio. Anyway, Albion couldn't spare the troops to influence the war.

Goliath and Kelmania were disdainful of Romania, and Torristine had not accepted Romania's terms. The Pope was sad and had no choice but to recall Julio and wait to see how the war would play out.

He knew much more than the other kings because he was one of the Void Users chosen by the Patriarch, and the Round Mirror left by the Patriarch had the ability to see any place in the world under the infusion of his Void power. He would periodically use [the Circle Mirror of the Patriarch] to monitor the condition of the four elves: the Water Elf sleeping in Lake Lagudorian; the Wind Elf still touring high in the sky, somehow playing the complex nineteen horizontal and nineteen vertical chess board with black and white pieces all by himself; the Fire Elf staying awake for longer and longer periods of time, each disturbance causing the temperature of the lake to rise and sometimes causing a volcanic eruption; and the Earth Elf still in deep sleep. But occasionally moving his body triggered an earthquake in Goliath.

He also uses the [Round Mirror of the Beginning] to observe the other heads of state, but the King of Goliath's view of Joseph cannot be shown, which makes him very jealous of Joseph; Queen Anrietta of Torristine is still a young girl, and her subordinate Hao Tian has a great deal of influence over her; Crown Prince Verus of Albion is dedicated to rebuilding the country, but the Crown Princess Asya of the House of Glent is somewhat dangerous; the Emperor of Kelmania Ambitious, the red-robed mage who had obtained the Fire Elf's secret method from somewhere and developed [Simultaneous Tone Casting], who had strengthened the power of fire magic by requesting the power of the Fire Elf, was extremely hostile to Romania and had shown a desire to free the Fire Elf.

As a human, but wanted to release the Elf, did he know what would happen when the Elf of Fire broke the seal? The Pope was henceforth particularly scrupulous and disgusted with the Emperor Kelmania.

chapter forty - the feast of power

The mutiny in the capital was over in record time, but the decrees issued by the ministers in the Queen's name spread throughout the kingdom, and with the exception of the northern front, the quasi-total wartime regime was lifted and goods began to circulate abroad. What's more, the militias that had been trained for a few days were again dispatched, costing much money in vain.

Hoshi was stabbed by Jett, and although he lost a lot of blood, he didn't injure any vital internal organs. With the wizard and the doctor treating him, replenishing his blood and nourishment, he soon awoke.

It looked to be Anrietta's boudoir, a room with purple undertones.

Hoshi sat up in bed.

Louise was lying on the edge of the bed, sleeping heavily, and mumbling, "Hao Tian, Hao Tian you don't want anything to happen." Taking pity on her, Hao Tian doesn't disturb her, puts her on the bed and covers her with the blanket.

Walking out of the bedroom, the waiting maids run around to tell the news to the women waiting downstairs.

Tabatha, Churuk, Eleanor, Katria, Tiffania, and probably Anrietta, who was absent because she had to deal with political affairs, gazed at Hao Tian with five pairs of bright eyes.

"I'm fine for worrying everyone," Hao Tian smiled. His own family knew their own business, and the healing power of the Water Elf's baptized body was strong, plus the power of the tree green infused by Tiffania during his resurrection had increased his vitality even more. The wound had been repaired, leaving only a shallow scar.

"Great." The women were heartily delighted.

Hoshi sat among them and gossiped, telling them some jokes from his previous life, and even Tabatha was made to smile. The maids brought tea and snacks back and forth, and later Louise woke up and went downstairs to join the gossiping queue as well.

It was a quiet afternoon, and Hao Tian was clustered among the women with a shallow smile.

At dusk, Anrietta returned looking anxious.

The crowd froze and looked at Anrietta.

Anrietta's gaze fell on Louise and hesitated.

"Louise, I just got the battle report from the front line. The city of [Tot] is broken, Duke Valier is leading his own army to break off and buy time, and the remaining soldiers are escorting Lady Carina and thirty Academy mages back. The Duke he, I'm afraid-"

Louise, Katria, and Eleanor were all surprised and heartbroken, and Louise was even more stunned.

"How? Father-sama he-"

Hoshi hugged her, leaving Lois to cry in his arms.

Katelia and Eleanor were also very sad, but to maintain the image of their sister, biting their lips and having red eyes just wouldn't shed a tear.

Hao Tian saw the two of them and pulled them over as well, sniffing.

"If you want to cry, cry all you want, I'm here for you. If your father-in-law dies in battle, I will avenge him; if he is captured, I will bring him back. He is a loving father and a true nobleman, and you should be proud of him. Okay?"

Louise, Katria, and Eleanor cried out together at the news. The tears couldn't stop flowing as they thought of what they used to do with their father.

The other girls looked at each other and returned to the second floor guest room, leaving the first floor hall to the four of Hao Tian.

At dinner, Anrietta invited Lady Carina to her bedchamber as well.

Anrietta sat on the throne, Lady Carina sat opposite, and to Anrietta's left was Hao Tian, then one right and one left in order were Louise, Eleanor, Tiffania, Katria, Tabatha, and Churuk.

In addition to Hao Tian, Louise and Eleanor are princesses who have been given the status of royalty, and Tiffania is actually the cousin of Anrietta, and when Anrietta meets her, Tiffania looks confused and terrified, but is encouraged by Hao Tian to accept the status, and Katria is the daughter of the Archduke, and Tabatha and Churuk are students of the Academy of Magic.

The people had a dull dinner.

After the maids removed the scraps, Anrietta looked at the women in attendance and spoke.

"I trust Hao Tian, and Hao Tian trusts you, so I trust you as well. Now that Goliath has breached [Tot] City, I wonder what will be the next step? The Secretary of State, Foreign Secretary, and Chancellor of the Exchequer, who has just eradicated the rebellion, and I am saddened by the Duke of Valliere's affairs, Grammont has been transferred by the chancellor's trickery, and the letters I want him back are still on the way, Osman has not returned from his trip to Kelmania, and Nils is my uncle but I know he is incapable. Now I am alone in the affairs of the king's capital and Torristine, and there is a great deal to do, and I wish to use your strength."

The women looked at each other, a little incredulous.

Lady Carina, Hao Tian was the calmest, and met Anrietta's eyes for a while.

Horton spoke up. "Since Anrietta has asked, I certainly do, and I hope I can help."

Lady Carina: "The Valiers have been loyal to the Crown for generations and are honored to serve the Crown."

Seeing that Hao Tian and Lady Carina had taken a stand, Louise, Katria, Eleanor, Tiffania, Tabatha, and Churuk went along with either agreeing or not opposing.

Anrietta smiled and questioned Hoshi to her left.

"Hao Tian, you have a lot of ideas, what do you think we should be allowed to do?"

Hao Tian looked at Anrietta with trust and admiration.

Hao Tian pondered for a moment before speaking up.
