Horton leaves the study, finds a maid and asks where Tabatha's room is, and heads to Tabatha's room.

In the study, Joseph looks ugly and makes a discussion with the demon Shepherd about evacuating the people on Albion Floating Island.

"I thought Albion Floating Island would be a safe place, but--" sighs Sherfid.

"The Fire Elves, Water Elves, Wind Elves, and the Earth Elves that will awaken, is it only safe there in northern Kelmania?" Joseph's color changed, as if he intended to start a war again.

"Your Majesty cannot, looking at the actions of the Water Elf expansion, even if we can take the north of Kelmania, we might still have to face the threat of some elf. Besides, the Queen of Kelmania and Secretary of State Torristine have a daughter, and together the two nations cannot be defeated by Goliath."

Joseph turned to a map hanging on the wall, a clearer outline of the general continent of Halgenia and the borders of each country. But on the brown background there was now a patch of red, blue, cyan, and earthy yellow colors drenching the map, red in the Romanian region, blue in eastern Torristine still expanding towards western Goria, cyan covering the floating island of Albion outside the main continent, and then earthy yellow taking up the southern half of the continent.

"Isn't there a safe zone?" Joseph pounded his fist on the desk.

Sheffield looked east of the map.

Joseph's eyes then moved, "You mean, the Goblin's Desert? Impossible, the big oasis would only support a few thousand people, humans don't fit there."

Sherfield: "There might be land east of the goblin's desert?"

Joseph was silent, then shook his head.

"Even if we did, we wouldn't have time to explore, let alone migrate across the desert with millions of people in tow."

"What about the population of Floating Island?" Sherfield asked probingly.

Joseph's face was cold as iron.

"Prioritize pulling the troops back, and as for the population, let them fend for themselves."

Unlike Albion who relied on shipbuilding for a living, Goliath didn't make a large number of floating ships even with the shipbuilding information provided by Albion's renegade nobles. It was unrealistic to evacuate all of them.

Thinking about the fact that creating a passage would require the use of the Wind Elves, and then the opportunity that Hao Tian had requested from the Wind Elves. Joseph felt uncomfortable and somehow owed someone a favor.

In Tabatha's bedroom, Tabatha returned after seeing her mother off, looking at Hoshi with his mouth wide open as he lay on her bed.

Chapter 23 - Cheating at Cards

The next day, Joseph gave an affirmative answer, but asked Hottentot to bring a letter to the garrison general. After receiving a reply, Hao Tian received the letter and made a trip back to Torristine first.

[Gate of the Beginners], the target is set to Louise.

When Hao Tian wore out the light screen, he saw Louise, Anrietta, and other women with dark eyes and drowsy eyes propped up on the long table.

"Should we follow, or not?" Freddy was still very much alive and hooting.

Hao Tian recruited a maid to ask, Freddy and the others actually played for a day and night straight.

Looking at the chips on the table, Freddy still had about 150 left, and it didn't look like he was going to lose much later.

"Freddie, you see Louise and the others are tired. Let the maids play with you for them." Hoshi suggested.

Hao Tian let the maids carry Louise and the others back to the bedroom, leaving the few of the musket maids who knew more about gambling cards to take over the chips of Louise and the other women to continue gambling with Freddie.

Hooten sat next to Freddie and watched him play cards while he inquired about channel maintenance.

Freddy answered Hao Tian carelessly.

The storm clouds in a twenty kilometer radius around Freddy's original location were all within the influence of his ability, enough to accommodate the passage of a large number of floating ships.
