Chapter 99: Primordial Crimson.
[Congratulations on your EVOLUTION]
The system was loud about it. Not subtle in the way that it normally was, but this time it was extremely loud about it, as if announcing a major happening.
Ren was barely awake before this notification came in. It forced him awake. His eyes widened to see the screen glaring right at him with this brand-new information.
[You have passed the evolution trial and have gone through a major evolution.]
[Congratulations on becoming a Primordial Chaos Dragon, Sealed State]
When Ren read the last line that was there, he froze.
"What the hell?" he asked in his head while looking at the screen.
[Host is currently a Primordial Chaos Dragon, but unable to carry the full power. Host’s current state is sealed. Each new evolution will unlock more.]
The system, for the first time ever since their meeting, was able to string a full sentence together in a way that was understandable.
"You spoke," Ren said in shock.
[There has been an update after your last evolution.]
"I see," he muttered. He did not even know how to fully take in the changes that were happening, but he would do it the same way he had always handled things like this.
He opened his eyes fully and pushed the system aside. He tried to move, and that was when he realized that he was stuck, and not in a way where he could shuffle himself out. He was genuinely stuck right in the cave.
He had almost doubled in size. The cave was no longer capable of handling Ren at all.
"Whoa, I didn’t think the changes would be that much."
He transformed back to his sovereign shell and landed on the ground, but even in this form he noticed a ton of differences. His wings were larger on his back, and his horns had grown quite a bit.
He stretched a little to get his body active and then focused his mind, but in that instant he sensed tons of monsters that did not belong to him outside the outskirts of his settlement.
"What the hell is happening?" he muttered to himself and then started walking out.
[There seem to be a huge number of intruders around.]
The system stated as well.
"Yeah, I got that part, but why? I did not plan to wake up to enemies."
[During evolution, the energy used draws the attention of other monsters.]
"Oh yeah, I recall that from when I was still an infant dragon. Tch. So if they have come here, why did they not attack?"
[I presume your presence was a deterrent. Such a surge of energy could not be from a weak being. Adding to that would be your evolved followers, who can clearly hold their own.]
"Makes sense. I have no interest in the monsters that are around, though. It’s best for them to leave here."
As he said that, he made it out of the cave. He stood for a while, then transformed into his full form, blocking the sky in an instant. Everyone that looked up was stunned and scared, even his subordinates.
He was a full-blown dragon, massive, with scales as black as night and a touch of blood red. His presence caused weaker monsters around to pass out from the pressure.
"Whoa, I feel so free. It’s like my body weighs less than a feather."
He flapped his wings and shot even higher into the sky in an instant. He looked down at the settlement below, and his eyes already picked up each and every one of the monsters that were lurking around.
Ren drew a deep breath through his mouth, ensuring that he filled his lungs before letting out a thundering roar that shook the sky, his greatest roar to date, so powerful that even from that distance, trees were bent out of shape.
The monsters all fled instantly, filled with fear of the being that had come out.
He watched them run and scurry off, then he transformed back and flew down onto the top of the mountain. He sat on a rock at the top.
"Now that that is taken care of, show me every update and change that I have gained after this evolution. Let’s see how far I have managed to come."
[You have gained a new set of skills and abilities.]
[Chaos Manipulation: Control chaos energy and the laws of chaos around you.]
[Primordial Form: New form gained from the Primordial Dragon, giving 10x all stats for a one-minute duration.]
[Primordial Domain: Sets up an effective range where you are capable of controlling everything that happens inside. The laws of space and time flow by your control.]
[Appraisal: See the stats and information on all items.]
Ren was done with the three skills that he had gained, and it was not crazy to say that what he had gained from this evolution was downright crazy.
He pressed down his excitement for now. He still needed to see what else was there.
[You have gained the Dragon Slayer blueprint.]
[You have unlocked ten advanced blueprints.]
Despite there being two pieces of information on blueprints, his mind was stuck on the one at the top, the Dragon Slayer. Why would anyone give a dragon a Dragon Slayer blueprint?
"Is this some sort of joke?" Ren asked.
[Not at all.]
The system replied, but he did not trust it.
"Whatever, bro. Just show me my stat screen. That’s the final thing that matters now."

"I’ve grown quite a bit," he clenched his fist as he spoke. He was at least twice as strong as before and had more skills to use now.
The last evolution had really brought him really high, a new level of strength entirely.
"I have gained so much, and I’ll probably gain even more, but what do I do with it all?" he asked himself and then looked down toward the settlement.
"I am no hero, nor do I want to create a kingdom or change this world. But I want something that will genuinely be mine."
He pondered for a few seconds and thought about what he wanted genuinely, and after a few minutes he came to the final resolution.
"I’ll create the first ever capitalist organization that simply follows my bidding but still ensures the best life for everyone.
Not a government, not a kingdom. A place for me and my subordinates, where our benefit is all that matters."
He stood up on the mountain and then looked down to see more clearly.
"I think we will be called Primordial Crimson."
[End of Volume Two. Thanks for sticking around. More to come, and more detail into what Primordial Crimson will be in further volumes.]
