Chapter 2680: His Silent Guardianship (3)
Work diary?
Dan Tingye hesitated for a moment, opened the document in his hand, glanced at it, and discovered that it was indeed her notes.
It was filled with dense writing, documenting her entire day of work, including instructions from her supervisor as well as things she couldn’t figure out herself. There was even a portion of her thoughts about the job...
She was genuinely serious about completing her tasks, not just perfunctory.
Moreover, she was very clever. From looking at her summary, she not only understood the work of the planning department but also discovered some tips to make work a bit easier.
At the end, Dan Tingye’s gaze tightened slightly, fixating on a sketch at the top.
Even though she was so busy, she fell asleep as soon as she got in the car, yet she still found time to secretly draw a sketch.
With just a few simple strokes, she had outlined a human figure. Judging by the setting, it seemed to be someone sitting at a dining table...
Dan Tingye was stunned, looking at it a few more times. A flash of white light passed through his mind, and when he looked at the sketch again, his heartbeat suddenly lost its rhythm.
It was the scene of him having lunch with her, and she had actually drawn it.
Even though it’s merely a rough outline, his expression was still captured by her... Dan Tingye stared intently at the sketch in his hand, with an indescribable feeling in his heart.
"Young master, young master... should we be heading back?"
Yao looked at the unusual expression on Dan Tingye’s face and quietly asked.
Dan Tingye suddenly snapped back to reality, put down Meimei’s work diary, but his mind lingered on the words she said when she first got in the car.
She only had a sandwich for dinner; would she wake up hungry in the middle of the night?
Dan Tingye’s eyes flashed, he walked to the refrigerator, opened it, glanced inside, and then closed the door.
"Go to the supermarket and get me some ingredients for making porridge."
"..."
Yao paused for a moment, then nodded, "Understood."
Yao acted quickly, following Dan Tingye’s request, he bought all the required ingredients and put them in the kitchen.
Seeing Dan Tingye step forward, he quickly said respectfully, "Young master, I can handle things like this."
"No need, it’s late. You can head back, don’t wait for me." Dan Tingye picked up the chicken and went to the faucet to prepare for washing.
"Young master..."
Yao looked at Dan Tingye, who was preparing to cook himself, his eyes bulging with surprise.
Wanting to say something, he thought better of it and respectfully turned to leave.
For chicken porridge, the chicken needs to be cooked, cooled down, and then shredded into strips to simmer in the porridge.
This way, the porridge comes out with a fresh and sweet taste, quite delicious.
Though the process is somewhat troublesome.
It’s Dan Tingye’s first time making it, busying himself while also calling Qin Youxuan who was in China to ask for cooking advice.
Luckily there’s a time difference, it’s daytime in China now, otherwise his father would probably scold him again.
"What made you decide to cook yourself? The meals prepared by the villa’s chef don’t suit your taste?" On the other end, Qin Youxuan’s voice was gentle, with a trace of concern.
Before Dan Tingye could reply, he heard a cold snort on the phone, followed by Dan Hanjie’s dissatisfied voice.
"He’s so grown up, why should you be bothered about such trivial matters? Let him starve!"
"Dan Hanjie, stop being mean to my son!"
"Yes, yes, he’s your son, not mine. Do you have room in your eyes for anyone other than your son?" Dan Hanjie’s voice was full of jealousy.
