Chapter 2636: An Unexpected Outcome (Part 3)
"I told you I didn’t hit her, how could I possibly beat her..." Jiang Nan retorted excitedly. The words had just left his mouth when he froze, looking at Meimei in surprise, "What did you just say? She’s not at the villa?"
"Neither of you went to school today. I thought you were both at the villa. Who knew you’d sleep all day while Youyou disappeared." Meimei bit her lip, rummaging through her bag for her phone, ready to call Youyou.
"No need to call. If she’s really not here, then she’s gone back to the Adolf family." Jiang Nan narrowed his long peach blossom eyes and abruptly spoke.
"Gone back to the Adolf family?" Meimei was stunned.
Dan Tingye heard his words and slightly raised an eyebrow, looking towards Jiang Nan.
Facing their gazes, Jiang Nan’s expression turned a bit unsightly, "Don’t look at me like that, as if I drove her away. I told you, I really didn’t hit her!"
"But why would Youyou leave?"
"You ask me, who should I ask?" Jiang Nan walked to the nearby sofa and lounged on it diagonally, holding his face in his hands, his voice somewhat muffled.
"Little one insisted on sparring with me yesterday. I knew she was competitive, so I went a few rounds with her. She’s young, and my dad has repeatedly ordered me not to hit women. I swear, I didn’t hit her, just sparred with her all night. Who would’ve thought I’d be exhausted and she’d still be upset, saying she wanted to go back to the Adolf family to train. I thought she was joking, but who knew she’d really leave."
He was truly worn out, which was why he slept the whole day.
"You sparred all night, and she still didn’t beat you?" Dan Tingye’s eyes flashed as he shot a cold glance at Jiang Nan.
No wonder she took it so hard.
Sometimes, it’s not just true wins and losses that show who’s stronger. Being able to effortlessly keep an undefeated record is the mark of a real expert.
Seems he underestimated his little brother...
Dan Tingye walked over, looking down at Jiang Nan sprawled like a rag on the sofa, a smile playing at his lips.
"Looks like someday we should have a match too."
"Bro! My dear brother!"
Jiang Nan jumped up as if electrocuted, "Stop messing with me. I won’t dare next time, okay? If I’d known she’d leave in anger, I wouldn’t have sparred with her yesterday. If dad knew, he’d skin me alive."
"Then what do we do now?"
Hearing Youyou had gone back to the Adolf family, Meimei sat down beside them in desolation.
The sisters had finally reunited, but she left so soon she barely had time to enjoy it.
"Don’t worry. I made her leave, so I’ll be responsible for bringing her back." Seeing Meimei’s saddened expression, Jiang Nan immediately stood up from the sofa and turned to leave.
"You’re planning to go to the Adolf family in pajamas? I guarantee you won’t even reach the door without getting kicked out!" Dan Tingye spoke lazily, glancing back at him.
Jiang Nan halted, looked down, and realized he’d just woken up; not only had he not changed clothes, but he hadn’t even washed his face. As scruffy as could be!
"I’ll go change."
"Even if you rush to the Adolf family now, with little one’s stubbornness, she won’t come back with you. She’s probably there right now seeking the best coach to train her, wanting to defeat you." Dan Tingye stepped over and patted Jiang Nan’s shoulder.
Jiang Nan: "..."
Bro, your schadenfreude is too obvious, I can tell!
