48 Hours a Day

Chapter 62 Welcome to the Mannheim Defense Line (4)

After a hasty breakfast, Zhang Heng picked a direction, carried his backpack and moved on.

Future generations of military fans have studied the classic World War II battles, always at the head of the line, including the strategic deployment of the belligerents, combat plans, tactical comparisons… But for Zhang Heng today, this stuff is too high-end, and unless he can be attached to a conductor like Karl Gustav Mannheim, or Clement Voroshirov, ordinary people in a battle situation can actually do very little.

No hero in a real war, no matter how hesitant you are, very good at shooting, just walk to the battlefield and any stray bullet could take your life.

In order to survive as much as possible, Zhang Heng set himself the principle of action to stay as far away from the crossfire zones as possible, such as Viburg, Suma Village, Kerya, he would certainly not go, not to mention the famous mountain version of the Machino Line of Defense - Mannheim.

But the biggest problem with him now is that he has no idea where he is, and he doesn't know where to go, even if he wants to avoid those strategic points.

Zhang Heng had walked for more than half a day. During this period, he encountered another Soviet army. Preliminarily, the number of the other party was estimated to be more than 100. Good thing Zhang Heng discovered early. He hid far away. He was not found by the group. The other party was in a hurry, and dragged several cannon guns through his eyes quickly. Forgive me, but Zhang Heng was also shocked by the cold sweat.

Pine and cedar in the forest can provide him with a great hiding place, but on the other hand, they also block Zhang Heng's gaze and may be dangerous to have quietly pushed in, while he still knows nothing.

This feeling of total uncontrollability is too bad, after all, no one can guarantee that their luck will always be so good that they will be able to spot their enemies one step at a time.

In fact, this copy of the game was quite unfavourable to him, and basically none of his skills, such as piano, retrofitting, and car racing, could help him to some extent except for his wild survival.

As for archery, in a sense, his lv2 is a little more reliable than the pistol on his body, but Zhang Heng has never found a bark suitable for bow rope, and cold weapons have also suffered from thermal weapons.

Worse still, after he felt Finland's cold night again, Zhang Heng wondered whether he would ever wake up from his sleep again in the days that followed.

Just three days after 140 days, his body and spirit were quite exhausted. Zhang Heng must have felt despair by now if it had not been for his previous experience of being alone on a deserted island.

It was clear to him that this was not the way to go, but that the choice to contact the Soviet Army or the Finnish guerrillas would be passive, equally risky, and Zhang Heng had not yet received his final attention.

On the morning of the fourth day, he heard another exchange of fire. This time, there was still gunfire in the middle, and Zhang Heng immediately decided to change course and go in a different direction.

However, this time his luck seems to be exhausted. Zhang Heng has been watching the movement in the direction of the exchange of fire. However, he did not expect to hit a reconnaissance team face to face. This heavily armed team of 11 people should have rushed back after hearing the battle on the other side. As a result, Zhang Heng was accidentally encountered first.

Neither side was apparently adequately prepared for this encounter.

Zhang Heng did not hold the moment of shadow in his hand. Otherwise, in case he accidentally thought of crow entertainment on the way, he did not consider the situation of enemies at such close range in Zhang Heng's prediction. He thought that he would never have time to reach for a statue in his coat, but instead objected to the other reconnaissance team, they were in a state of backup. The weapon was already in his hand, loaded and ready to shoot.

In the end, the coat saved Zhang Hengyi's life. The group may not have pulled the trigger in the first place because they saw the familiar military uniform, but soon they noticed someone wearing that dishonest outfit and his Asian physical characteristics.

So the young Soviet soldier at the head waved the light machine gun in his hand and drank what was so exciting.

Unfortunately, Zhang Heng had no knowledge of Russian and could only temporarily abandon his intention of touching the moment of shadow from his coat, raising his hands.

However, it was unclear whether the Soviet soldier was angry at each other because he had been silent. He kept repeating one word and his fingers had been pulled on the trigger.

This is probably the most dangerous thing Zhang Heng has ever experienced in his life. At a time like this, he doesn't know what else he can do. This is war. There is no reason to kill or be killed. There are people dying at all times on the battlefield. Civilians, enemies, comrades… Everyone's nerves are like strained strings. No one cares about killing another alien by mistake.

Even Zhang Heng himself thought that the grumpy Soviet soldier would pull the trigger at the next moment.

Yet no one expected the young machine gunman to fall first.

A bullet came from somewhere and burst into his temple, exploding with bloody flowers, and the angry look on the latter's face condensed forever at this moment.

Sniper!!!

The reconnaissance team apparently ate no less than the losses of the Finnish guerrillas and immediately realized what had happened. The colour of God had changed dramatically and could no longer take care of Zhang Heng on the other side. While turning the gun, he shouted nervously for his companion to find a shelter and another wanted to venture to pick up the machine gun that had fallen on the ground.

But the second bullet came faster than he thought, and his finger touched the handle, and his body pulled down helplessly and lay on the body of his comrade.

However, it also led others to discover the direction of the sniper, using the rifle in his hand to start shooting back. Zhang Heng did not let go of this valuable opportunity to rush at the fastest speed to the end of a pine tree that had been severed by lightning strikes.

The sniper, hiding in the dark, calmly completed the shooting, killing two more Soviet soldiers who had not made it into the bunker, and suddenly there was no response.

Enemy... Was it hit by that round just now? The Soviet soldiers behind the bunker were nervous, pulling the bolt again, and communicating in Russian. Half a minute later, a bold man detected half his head and looked out quickly, resulting in a safe retraction of his head.

Then someone stretched out his head and still didn't hear gunshots.

The hanging heart of the Soviet soldiers gradually let go, and began to walk out of the rock, raising the rifle in his hand, half squatting, a little closer to where the snipers were hiding, in addition to two others coming to Zhang Heng's side.

At this time, however, Zhang Heng has cast out his shadow.
