Leo didn’t waste a single moment and instantly summoned Agnivar to get a look at him.
His size had increased once again. Originally 15 meters long from head to tail with a 25-meter wingspan, he now measured around 18 meters in length and had a wingspan reaching almost 30 meters.
As for Ashira, she was now 7 meters tall and had a wingspan of 12 meters.
Even she could now carry one person on her back while maintaining an effortless flight for an indefinite amount of time.
But Agnivar didn’t look particularly happy with the enhancement.
"Lord, I know you have some mysterious powers that let us gain strength at a monstrous rate, but please refrain from doing it uncontrollably because it becomes difficult to control the sudden burst of strength," he said.
"You might have already realized, but I don’t have good skills compared to the raw strength my body possesses. If I don’t pay attention now and keep gaining raw power, I’ll eventually fall behind in skill progression and rely only on my body. After saying that, Agnivar fell silent, letting Leo think.
"That does seem to be the case..." Leo muttered.
His two Solarflare skills had directly evolved into tiered ranks within moments, yet his beasts still struggled to push their skills even to the Peak category of the non-tiered rank.
Leo theorized that it might be because he had the intelligence to understand the workings of the skills and the flame element better, unlike his beasts, who still didn’t qualify as intelligent beasts.
In other words, his beasts had been utilizing physical strength more, just as Agnivar had said.
Damn, looks like I need to control their power growth... Leo thought.
On that note, even Agnivar, despite being an intelligent beast, hadn’t achieved the tiered rank in any of his skills and only possessed a couple of them.
As if sensing Leo’s thoughts, Agnivar explained how his father, Hidimba, had restricted all training under his watch so that the young wyverns wouldn’t grow stronger and eventually rebel. All the wyverns had been distracted through the clever tactic of keeping them occupied with one another, using little more than their instincts to mate at any time and anywhere.

But Leo still needed Howl to gain strength so he wouldn’t get crushed under his own weight. In other words, his next course of action was already clear. After returning from Kendru City, he needed to find ways to help Howl grow stronger while allowing his other beasts to improve their skills.
Lily, who was walking back and forth around the general pool area, was delighted to hear that their application had been approved. They didn’t even wait for the night to pass and immediately headed to Aurelius Hall.
"The distance between the Academy and Thalor is approximately 60,000 Kilometres. With the discounted price for students, it will cost 60,000 AC for an individual of average..." The operator glanced at Leo’s frame.
"Sorry, it will cost more for you..."
Leo didn’t bother dwelling on the details and immediately paid for the teleportation.
The operator quickly contacted the Thalor department to inform them about the incoming travellers so they could prepare on their side.
Within five minutes, Leo, Lily, and Sylrael were teleported away.
They didn’t waste any time and headed straight for the takeoff platform. Then, before the shocked eyes of the onlookers, Leo summoned Agnivar. He climbed onto the wyvern’s back, Lily sat behind him, Sylrael behind her, and they took off toward Kendru in the middle of the night.
The faint orange glow beneath Agni’s scales made him an eye-catching sight for the people below.
Once Agnivar had reached an altitude of over 3,000 meters, Lily raised her hand to do her part.
The air drag Agnivar was experiencing was immediately eliminated, and even the wind flow was directed in their direction, boosting his speed tremendously.
Agni immediately stopped restraining himself. Under normal circumstances, his maximum speed would have been around 800 kilometres per hour, but he had been flying at only 200 in case Leo and the others were thrown off by the extreme air pressure. But now with no air drag, he could go full throttle.
Within moments, he accelerated to 800 kilometres per hour. However, with no air drag and the supporting tailwind, his speed climbed so high that even Agnivar couldn’t believe it.
It even crossed Mach 1 and reached the boundary of Mach 2, meaning they could arrive at Kendru within a day.
But of course, that wasn’t entirely the case, since Agnivar needed to relax his pectoralis and supracoracoideus muscles at regular intervals. During those periods, he would simply glide through the air at around Mach 1.
Below Agnivar stretched a vast expanse of forest. Every now and then, enormous rivers wound through the landscape, so massive that they could easily be mistaken for oceans by anyone standing on their shores.
These were all familiar sights that Leo had seen during his journey from Kendru to Thalor for the trial. It also confirmed that they were on the right path. Since his phone’s GPS signal had disappeared after leaving the Academy’s range, he was relying on the landmarks to verify his route.
He also tried to spot the Cragveil Colossus he had seen moving the last time, but the beast had either moved elsewhere or made itself indistinguishable from the countless hills scattered throughout the forest.
Leo also took the opportunity to ask Sylrael about all the ways she had been managing the territory, and he couldn’t say he wasn’t impressed by her expertise.
Lily also distracted herself from her worries and thanked Sylrael for all her hard work. Both Leo’s and Lily’s decision to make Sylrael a leader candidate had been the right one.
During the journey, both Leo and Lily took turns controlling the airflow and wind movements, allowing them to share the mental strain.
Thankfully, no flying beasts interrupted their journey—mostly because Agnivar’s draconic aura was enough to suppress them. Otherwise, at an altitude of 3,000 meters, many avian beasts would have challenged any foreign beast for intruding into their territory.
And finally, after exactly 36 hours, the faint outline of a city became visible in the distance.
